WUT! That is SICK. Skulk < Shadow for sure, but the ability to add threats to the board while improving your card quality more than makes up for that shortcoming. I'm definitely going to test this out.
Seems quite strong. The baseline is pretty close to playable (though it's easier to block skulkers than you think), and that last ability offers you a surprisingly efficient amount of board presence for a blue card. Reanimator in particular is going to love this, since it prefers to discard creatures anyway.
This thing would need to be a 1/3 for me to get really excited. My blue decks are low on creatures (maybe 25%) and they are rarely ones I want to discard. And there are lots of tokens and elves that can get in front of this thing.
Now if this thing gave me a creature for discarding land, or a colorless card, or it was flying. Maybe
If this guy connects once you can get 4 power over 2 bodies and a loot effect. For 2 mana that is great. This creature will definitely be a lightning rod for removal.
Um, wow. That seems particularly strong. That might kick Looter il-Kor out of the cube. I don't want to push a blue aggro strategy so I don't want to wedge too many low cost beaters into the cube but that one might be way too good to pass up.
Not to forget: You may generate those tokens also if other effects cause you to discard creatures, so any looter, discard outlet, Liliana of the Veil suddenly becomes a token generation machine. Nice. Any experiences with "1 power skulk" in practice?
Damn i didnt even see that. this thing is an auto include for me!
Oh man. I'm intrigued to see how well skulk can perform.
Less consistent than Looter il-Kor, but the upside is huge if you can connect for damage or pair it with a discard outlet (thinking Liliana of the Veil, Oona's Prowler, Pack Rat, etc). Seems like it'd be great in a UB/Reanimator deck but might be difficult to make it succeed elsewhere. Probably going to pick one up to test.
Been a while since we had a good, new blue card to talk about....
As a Reanimator enthusiast, I think this misses the mark as a discard outlet since it's not as reliable as a traditional looter. However, I do like it in other decks so I may give this card a test drive.
Only from playing Startled Awake and Farbog Revenant in SOI Limited, but it's quite a bit less reliable than Shadow. In cube, Wharf Infiltrator will get brick walled by 1/1 token generators, mana dorks, and walls, so I see it getting boarded out in quite a few matchups where you'd rather just have a Merfolk Looter. This seems like a really cool card, so I'd like to test it, but I think it would be a mistake to cut Looter il-Kor for this because Wharf Infiltrator looks a lot less reliable.

If you're counting on Wharf Infiltrator to get through, you're not thinking big enough. This card will win games without attacking once, I'm confident of that.
I don't like that Skulk is not only less reliable than Shadow but has horrible synergy with Swords. It does look like a great card.
I wouldn't cut Looter for it... I guess I'll wait for actual testing results.
This a very cool card that I am excited to test. Unfortunately, it will be FAR less consistent than looter-il-kor.
In my 465 cube, there are 39 creatures that can block it (as opposed to 3 for looter) and 26 cards that make 1/1 tokens (although some of those are pretty pricey). However, the upside over looter when this DOES connect is substantial, and the upside of rewarding other discard too is real. This will definitely be tested, although I don't think over looter. I might just have 2 looters in cube.
I wouldn't cut this for a looter since I don't consider looting to be this card's primary function, he's not reliable enough in the decks that need him as a pure looter.
I initially missed the general discard token making clause, too. Thought it was a decent card, but this makes it pretty good. Definitely going to run this.

Cool. I missed this in the wording.
I was gonna test but a bit skeptical , now I'm excited
Skulk in limited was much worse than I thought it was going to be. Although limited is more creature heavy.
