Super-efficient creature, with evasion and a pseudo-protective ability. Honestly, looks efficient and powerful enough to include, regardless of the C cost. Thoughts?
I will try it in my 450-powered cube, as a very fun finisher for aggresive strategies that doesn't get big, hasty creatures that often. The question is, how hard it would be to pay the colorless mana?
This looks like a card I might test out. Big red Wildfire decks will enjoy it, and it's an effective midrange beater and/or curve-topper for a few other decks as well.
I can't see a deck where this would be a perfect fit*, but it is costed efficiently enough and in a slot that doesn't have that many options that I will try it.
* Haste + trample would make it a good aggro curve topper, but aggro will have the most trouble producing C. The "protection" is not reliable enough to make this a good finisher for control. Not being an artifact makes it not optimal for the artifact deck either. Probably fits best into various midrange and maybe Wildfire decks while being at least an option in those other archetypes.

Too bad signets can't make colorless mana or it would be a match made in heaven. Still with powerstone et al. that deck should easily be able to case this.
Easily my favorite <> creature so far. I would flip if this were an artifact. Oh well I guess I will have to start looking at the amount of colorless producers I have....
5 drop slot is pretty saturated in all agro colors tho, I don't think I'm in the market for it.
If I ever pull the trigger on a utility draft, this gets more exciting, as I can justify including narrow cards like eldrazi temple that might spawn its own archetype.
This creature, Wasteland straggler, the 2G flash eldrazi, the 2w blink Eldrazi, 6G reach exile a non-creature permanent eldrazi are all close to cubable at the moment.
Echoing what everyone said above, this card seems great if you can make <> (pain and filter lands getting better?).
5/5 trample haste for 5 is already pretty damn good, and forcing your opponent to either have a non-targeted removal or 2-for-1 themselves is no joke. This guy is such a great post-wrath play.
Interesting for sure, but needs a few more playables yet for me to consider adding support. It's good, but not good enough by itself to warrant warping the entire cube around being able to cast it.
Outside of Thundermaw Hellkite, there really aren't many sources of resilient haste damage like this. Really powerful and a worthy 5-drop, but I think it needs a bit more help.
Just realized this has haste, wow. Definitely the best colorless required card. Wildfire decks should have no problem playing this card with all the mana rocks they run. I'm on the fence about this card right now because I'm replacing the filters with the manlands and am only running enemy painlands atm. I'm probably not going to include this right off the bat, but it's definitely on my watch list.
Very powerful, the comparison to Thundermaw Hellkite is apt, this will put similar pressure on the board as the dragon (although Flying + killing tokens is better than trample, there will be more chump blockers or blockers to stop the Eldrazi on the ground). My only complaint is that it still feels a bit vanilla to me, even with the targeted removal protection. But a few vanilla beaters don't hurt anyway.
That's another C-card next to Bearer of Silence and Kozilek that I would try.
I love it and it isn't going anywhere. I could see cutting all the other colorless cards and still playing this. It goes in every deck type. It survives Wildfires, it uses the colorless artifact mana in your tinker and upheaval decks, and I have even played it as a surprise aggroy finisher. This card is worth keeping around.
Cube is such a powerful format that as a drafter I would have a hard time warping picks around this card. It seems like it requires more colorless sources than naturally trickle into most decks to make it reliably castable without extra support. I really wish it worked better in the Cube environment, because I would love to play this card. For me I would want to see maybe 2 more sets of solid colorless cards to make a move on supporting them.
I am making this post because I'd love to be proven wrong, but I just can't see it in my Cube with no additional support.

I have yet to find this to be true. Have you tested the card yet? It doesn't sound like it from the way you wrote that out.
