Relic Hunter(?) 1W
Creature - Human Soldier
Fame 1(?) (whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, if there are no fame on this creature, put a +1/+1 counter on it became famous)
Whenever Relic Hunter(?) are famous you may search your library for an Equipment card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle your library.
Card name and ability is not a oracle text, its just translation.
I like it a lot. It's a decent mana size creature that can grow and search for equipment.
Holy moly this will be good in the Boros aggro decks that my groups play. Kill your blocker, my guy grows, then I get my sword. This is the kind of redundancy that the stoneforge decks need. Don't get me wrong it is not the same thing, but being a 2/2 that becomes a 3/3 with little effort makes this my kind of card.
Assuming the card itself is legit, I can confirm that the translation is accurate enough (but I'd bet 1000 won that "Fame" is actually "Glory" on the English original).
It's not quite a second Stoneforge Mystic, but I can definitely find room to test this out.

But "when X becomes famous" does make slightly more sense than "when X becomes glorious" ...even though that would make for awesome Kitchen Table Magic conversation.

Which reminds me, as an aside, we may need a [CUBE] tag for this thread OP...
I think Pain Seer is a fair comparison, but I think I'd prefer this in a vacuum. Growing is not an insignificant upside, and when you have creatures in play, equipment become some of the best cards in your deck to draw. You also don't have to wait until the turn after you connect to get the card, and you can play it in decks with a higher curve.
That said, I still think this will be a victim of the slot, which is very deep (albeit low on slam dunk options).
Reminds me of the Pain Seer to Dark Confidant comparison, except maybe with a lower floor as you need a weapon for full value.
I'm not in love, I don't hate it; it's a card that seems like it can be good, but also can be underwhelming since it needs to connect to do anything.
If pain seer became a 3/3, drew the card immediately when if it hit, but only could do that once, I would cube it. This seems waaaaayyyy more likely to get me value.
I would play this card. It's definitely harder to trigger than Stoneforge but if it hits it'll carry a sword MUCH more effectively. I think I'd love to have a redundant equipment tutor.
First I was thinking about this card in white weenie and wasn't sure about it... White weenie generally wants to go all in on the board and swarm the opponent. Lacking evasion and having a delayed/contingent effect, is non-complimentary to that strategy.
However, in a deck with a lot of removal, a tempo deck or a good stuff deck, she seems really good. (geist of st.traft deck)
Being playable in white weenie, and good in tempo decks for a comfortable mana cost of 1W, means this is a clear test.
Prediction:
I expect her to fall around the soltari power range (I consider them among the better white 2 drops). She requires 2 solid pieces of equipment to reach that power range, but is playable in more decks. Her upside is higher, but her average case scenario is slightly lower. In a deck with a lot of removal AND Jitte/Batterskull, I'd expect her to be a strong second place amongst white 2 drops (behind stoneforge obviously).
I am only mildly confident in my evaluation. I'd be surprised if she was worse than my evaluation, but not that surprised if she was slightly better. Looking forward to testing.
Its best case scenario is obviously amazing, and its worst case scenario is a bear which your oppponent a) has to spend a removal spell on or b) must leave a blocker for at all/most times.
Pain Seer is not a bad comparison, but this is quite a bit better I think.
If you look at it mainly from a flavour-POV, sure, but I think the mechanic plays much different in practice. Trying to get in a hit with a small(ish) guy requires different tactics than surviving until you have the mana to make your medium-sized guy gigantic.

If you have the equipment, sure. I'm probably not the only person to pick a SFM and have it sit in the SB. This definitely has value as a potential 3/3 for 1W if you don't have equipment, but that might not be enough in some decks if it only does that, whereas Pain Seer is always going to do what it does regardless of your other cards.
Of course, comparing the two is kind of silly since they're different colors and not competing for the same spot, but they are a little similar in my eyes and it seemed worth noting.
Anyone else think that the ability fame is basically monstrous, but it is for "good people" and not monsters?
Seems kind of embarrassing how much left over Theros stuff they obviously have and could have been used to make Born of the Gods and Journey into Nixd better.
Probably not a forever card for my cube but outside of Thalia and Stoneforge I don't consider any white 2 drops sacrosanct.
I see the BCS of this guy/girl is amazing, but I'm not sold on its ACS being good enough. Like Stoneforge you have to score relevant equipment in the draft, and then you have to take several more steps to go from underwhelming to sweet. How many times is this just going to be a bear that might get the counter? Would you put in a deck without the equipment to fetch? I'm willing to be swayed by play reports, but I think the lack of a good combat keyword makes this guy a miss.
Ya, I still like it. It needs a target in the deck to go with it, but it has a really absurd ceiling for a 2cc investment. I like finding another spot in the curve to cut from though, rather than simply replacing another 2-drop with it, because (like Stoneforge) there will be times where he simply doesn't have a target in the deck and won't be playable when that's the case. But in a deck with even 1 piece of equipment, I'm pretty sure I'd play this guy.

In my Mirran cube, with lots of equipment and proliferate, then this works.
