Today's Spoils were just chock-full of exciting cards. Here's another that looks worthwhile for Cube:
Goblin Rabblemaster
2 R
Creature - Goblin Warrior
Other Goblin creatures you control attack each turn if able.
At the beginning of combat on your turn, put a 1/1 red Goblin creature token with haste onto the battlefield.
When Goblin Rabblemaster attacks, it gets +1/+0 for each other attacking Goblin.
2/2
It's Goblin Assault on a body. Only, it makes tokens a turn more quickly than Assault does. Heck, the tokens even attack a turn sooner than Bitterblossom's tokens do.
The base body is a little meh, but the mini Goblin Piledriver ability actually works pretty well. Drop this turn 3 and make a token, then swing with it on turn four for 6 total damage.
Red's still a little thin on good 3 drops, and this certainly seems to be a great one. Even if your tokens are getting killed every turn, this guy bashes for 4 (1 from the token, plus +1/+0 for attacking with the token). It's not quite Brimaz, King of Oreskos, but it's still very solid.

Also despite the anti-synergy with other goblin cards, this guy looks like he would play really well in a lot of decks. Tokens, check. Aggro, check. Pox, check. Super good with both of the Curses I run and totally sweet with Goblin Bombardment, Purphoros, and any anthem ability. He curves really well into Hellrider and Hero of Oxid Ridge. Not to mention the fact that if left unchecked for a couple turns he becomes a serious monster on his own. Gosh, I think I just convinced myself!
I wish this thing had haste itself or at least granted my other goblins haste.
I was about to say that the first token is just going to get eaten, then I realized you can cast this thing post combat, and on the next turn come in with a 4/2 and 2 1/1s. That is really beefy. You can just spend the turns before and after casting this blowing up blockers and this guy is Hero of Bladehold esque. Certainly worth testing.
I feel like wizards is was listening to my complaints about 3 drops.
Edit: Yeah this guy into Hellrider is 4 to the dome + attacking for 9 on turn 4. Not shabby.
Edit 2; Derp, I was right the first time. That first token will get eaten
He makes a token at the beginning of combat, so if you wait till after combat to cast him you are swinging next turn with only 1 token. Right?
I was thinking about how much of a bummer it would be to cast a Siege-Gang Commander with this on the field, then I realized that next turn you'd be swinging for 13 at a minimum and have the mana to deal at least 4 more with Siege-Gang Commander's ability. I'd be ok with that scenario.
Yeah this certainly seems testable to me. Not having haste and being 2 toughness obviously hurt it, as does throwing away the first token probably 80% of the time along with forcing your other goblind to attack even if you don't want them too on t3, but the potential of this into hellrider or hero of oxid ridge is just too juicy to pass up. Goblin guide into ash zealot into this into hellrider would certainly be living the dream. Hello potential for 6 pinging damage plus attacking for 12 on t4.
I have long been a Goblin Assault advocate, so this guy is a shoe in. I'm just not sure if I cut assault for it, or just boost tokens even more. Red three drops are pretty mediocre, but I never know what to cut.
He'll have to join his brethren in combat, but assuming that's ok on the board state, nice.
I think this iteration covers the weaknesses of Goblin Assault well (low board impact from not doing anything when cast, easily blanked) and while the 2/2 may not necessarily do anything vs an opposing titan, being able to put that pressure on an opponent is also really nice too (and not bad post wrath or with the token support cards like Purphorous/Anthems.)
True true - those all play well with rabblemaster. Tbh, I'm not sure this card really wants an anthem. As others have pointed out, Purphoros, bombardment, tribal are all much better.
Only really saw play in a match, but when it was out, it was excellent. I found that it built up relatively quickly (much faster than Goblin Assault) thanks to the initial creature having haste. Surprisingly, I didn't see the creatures suicide; a small sample size but very good (and as has mentioned before, really good with any kind of mass pump and also solid with equipment on board. Oh hey, I guess my sword's now active and I'll attack you for 6, sure! (oops, forgot that the hasted goblin can't be equipped, which is a bit of a nombo, but is still sweet.)
Yeah, this guy has been absolutely spectacular so far. He's like the red Geist of Saint Traft: without immediate removal or a beefy creature to get in the way, he presents the single fastest clock in the entire cube. Even if your opponent has the perfect blocker, you can afford to sit back, since you'll never have less than 4 power worth of attackers when you do decide to crash in. Meanwhile, you can do any number of things with your free goblins: Purphoros triggers, Greater Gargadon and Goblin Bombardment sacs, soften up creatures for burn spells, overload the board to force it through, or add one of the 4-drop finishers for massive damage.
He looks like Goblin Assault, but that card wants to either go in a dedicated token deck or exist as a sideboard against control. This guy asks nothing but the desire to murder your opponent's face mercilessly. I think he could be red's best 3-drop.
This card seems very good. Curving out into this guy in an aggressive deck seems awesome, and any token-theme would obviously love a thing that makes tokens, even if they potentially die to chump blocking every turn. I don't think the issue of other goblins having to attack is too much of a concern anyways since you're typically wanting to attack with your fast goblins anyways and if Siege Gang is concerned you should have enough mana to appropriately sacrifice what you need to not make it into a losing scenario. I'm a fan.

Not always. Unlike the Goblin Assault itself, you get a token with haste right away, so you can squeeze it to the board when he can get through.
You get a Raging Goblin, a Goblin Assault and a 2/2 Bear with a pseudo-firebreathing effect for 2R.

Can't ask for more than that, especially since I have whined about red 3 drops in the past.
