Quote from Planeswalker"s Guide to Theros, Part 1 »Domains:Thassa is the god of the sea and also presides over aquatic creatures and the secrets of the briny deep. But she is also the god of ancient knowledge, murmurs, gradual change, introspection, vast distances, long voyages, and far-ranging searches. Thassa might also be described as the god of patterns, such as those of tides, currents, ripples in water, and even the passage of time.
Quote from quitequieterIt's not an elegant card. I don't see how anyone could argue otherwise.
Quote from GoodkingI guess you could call it a Pupgrade...
... I'll get my coat.
Quote from AverothI'm cautiously excited about this God. The free Scry every turn is interesting and the activated ability is pretty decent too, not to mention cheap. I can't wait to test her out.
Quote from Theogony_IXWhat are people's current thoughts on Thassa? 360 worthy?
Quote from wtwlf123That card's so insane that it needs reminder text on it that lets you know you can kick your opponent right in the junk when it resolves.
Quote from NofWhen I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
Quote from Salmo »It's just about reasonable expectations.
Quote from Theogony_IXHmm, thank you for the comments. It gives me a good perspective on her. A little disappointing, but I guess I agree she doesn't break into a 360 list.
Quote from flutterguyLast night we got to see Thassa for a second time since we added her post-prerelease. She was consistently amazing. I was playing her in a UB ramp re-animate deck and her scry was incredibly useful. While she does seem good in control vs control match ups, she is also very good in combo-y decks where she helps find the pieces you want and thin your dead draws.
She is also amazing with control magic. Steal your blocker, swing for 5 is pretty insane.
In short, after two outings the whole group is impressed with her. She has secured her spot for the present.
