Thassa, God of the Sea 2U
Legendary Enchantment Creature — God
Mythic Rare
Indestructible
As long as your devotion to blue is less than five, Thassa isn’t a creature. (Each {U} in the mana costs of permanents you control adds to your devotion to blue.)
At the beginning of your upkeep, scry 1. 1U: Target creature you control can't be blocked this turn.
I kinda like her. But then, I'm not sure if I'm too kind on her or not.
EDIT: Think she's kinda confirm now with mechanic and everything.
Is an enchantment with scry 1 every upkeep that can make attackers unblockable cubeable? The transformation happens probably not too often in blue decks. This card could work well in blue aggro/tempo decks but not so much everywhere else.
My preliminary verdict: if you support blue tempo, test the card.

5/5
But who really knows until you see the card, right?
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
An indestructible enchantment that lets you scry 1 each turn and get creatures by blockers doesn't seem terrible for three mana. The potential to attack for 5 in the late game is great too.
True, but I really like the new Devotion mechanic. That means we will probably see a lot of UU and UUU cards in this set.
Mana intensive cards are generally worse for cube, and mechanics like metalcraft and battalion that require multiple permanents on the field are almost always bad for cube as well. This combines both problems.

True, but this compares pretty positively to Crystal Ball. 3 Mana, repeatable scry. This doesn't scry as deep, but also doesn't have a cost. And the only way Crystal Ball attacks for 5 is if Tezzeret 2 comes down.
Dunno if it's cubeable, but I might convince myself to try it.

It's definitely not good enough for my 360, but scrying every turn and making dudes unblockable sounds pretty awesome whether or not you get the devotion activated. I think it would play fairly well in Simic builds particularly.
I suppose if you're one of the people who doesn't like Crystal Ball, you're right. And it's a polarizing card. I was against it for a long time, wanted to cut it, felt like it wasn't doing enough, and then I started aggressively drafting and playing it. It's really good, if slightly overcosted initially. If you can build your deck to protect you well enough to get it in play and not die as a result, you're often going to win the game just through the ridiculous quality of card selection you get.
I understand the other side, but I'm definitely pro crystall ball at this point, which means I'm probably going to consider Thassa as spoiled.
Counts enchantments and whatnot, so I'm pretty sure the black one should be playable, and don't forget you can use chroma to your advantage to make it dodge Pte. Is best friends with other enchantments and planeswalkers. I think all of the theros mechanics are really hard to evaluate at the moment. It might take some time to appreciate some of these cards, I wouldn't be surprised for us to find out a random card is a cube staple three months after theros comes out.
I'm not a huge fan of Crystal Ball, but scrying for free every turn, being indestructible, making creatures unblockable and potentially becoming a threat is pretty good for 3 mana...
One thing that I noticed today is that there are a lot of permanents with UU in the cost so it may not be very difficult to get it to be a 5/5 - out of the 31 permanents in my blue section, 17 have UU in the cost. (4 of the 14-non UU are Crystal Shard, Vedalken Shackles, Faerie Conclave and Shelldock Isle.)
Also stealing an opponent's UU permanent with a Control Magic effect is a pretty funny way to get it active, since they're all UU aside from Shackles.
I'm presently leaning towards the "yes" category for it being solid. It may be more at home in blue "attack" decks due to its 1U ability, but it seems like a card that I don't mind getting on board on T3 in a generic blue control deck since it provides return on investment due to indestructibility. [edit - oh, nm. It's mostly hard to kill anyway due to being an enchantment, as mentioned below. Near-indestructibility then. :)]
It should be noted that it becomes indestructible only once it becomes a creature. I don't think that's a big knock against it though, enchantments are generally not that easy to remove.
Edit - wait, with the latest confirmed wording, it actually is indestructible even before becoming a creature. Nice.
Like that they are putting scry on an enchantment. The unblockable part seems a tad out of nowhere though.
It seems to be thassa's thing. both cards related to her have given unblockable. Merfolk also have a precedent of giving unblockability from lorwyn and lord of atlantis.
This card seems pretty legit. Let's you dig for your win cons and other blue cards, so you can make those win cons get in there or make Thassa herself do it. And it's indestructible! Seems cool.
Remember that hybrid mana symbols count as blue mana symbols. Think back to Shadowmoor block. True there aren't strong candidates in the blue section, but slim chance a few get added in this set.
