I used to like temples quite a bit, but I'm lower on them now. I consider them filler lands.
With a very big land section, I think dual taplands lose some value. More versitile taplands like the Thriving Heath cycle, Vivid Grove cycle, and Savage Lands cycle become important staples. Smaller land sections can do without those cards. When drafting, you really don't want all your lands entering tapped, and Temples feel like some of the lower priority lands.
These lands can also improveTezzeret, Agent of Bolas, as well as Collector Ouphe
Kaldheim snow duals with their fetchable basic land types are also really quite acceptable, as are tricycle lands, there's so many solid taplands that it can be hard to justify having ten scrylands

Lately I've been a fan of Bridges for tapped duals. Specifically Rustvale Bridge, Razortide Bridge, and Silverbluff Bridge. The reason being cards like Armageddon, Impending Disaster, Goblin Engineer, and Trinket Mage.
But I'm not cutting temples any time soon. If anything, I might be adding more lands.
