Not sure where I could find a cut for this card but it definitely merits testing. Thinking of it as a grizzly bear with persist as a worst case scenario is pretty sweet. I can't wait to get some extensive testing with it this weekend.
I wish this card was R/G.
Oh man R/G would have been the best but we are sure to get a nice 4 drop or something clunky for Gruul.
Am I the only one who thinks of this as the Keldon Warlord effect.
That's not the worst WCS though. Usually he'll be giving you at least one creature better than that, like a cheaper Rotlung Reanimator, and he has the bonus of making your opponents' plays in your turn just awful value. I had to think about him a bit, but he may well be the real deal. What to cut to test it? Don't have the foggiest, as we are wont to say around here.
This seems like a lot of fun and I will certainly pick one up to test (depending on pricing), but it is too bad he has to die. No resto angel love or blink.bant. Just the tiniest bit sad.
Not overly excited by the card. The "cast a spell" part is mainly only relevant against Blue based Control, and only a minor annoyance for the others (slight tempo shift). Basically, the card is all about having it die with other dudes on the board, because the base 2/2 for WG is unimpressive.
Very good card overall, one that will likely have a big impact on Standard and Modern, but I'm quite skeptical about it cracking the Top #4 in Selesnya. Kitchen Finks and Qasali Pridemage are better, and I want Loam Lion and Dryad Militant to keep a good amount of 1-drops. After, maybe, but there are so many other options already ...
I think this card is better than loam lion

Not to get into another classification argument, but this should not be competing for people's slots with Dryad Militant and Kitchen Finks. Neither of those is a Selesnya card.
This is getting FGCU-slammed into my Selesnya section. The only GW card I consider better is Qasali Pridemage. Tough to make cuts though, as I already have goodies like Loxodon Smiter sitting on the bench. Maybe it's time for Mirari's Wake to go.

That's a good way to start one, though, when most people here will disagree with you.
I meant Selesnya as in "requires green and white mana to cast", not the Ravnica guild.
At any rate, I've stated my opinion and I don't want to derail this thread any further.
Back to talking about how insane this card is. It does exactly what G/W wants in a creature - solid body, excellent with equipment, excellent against spot removal, makes resolving the rest of your sorcery-speed beef easier... just a G/W dream come true. Might actually be better than Pridemage.
I don't count militant or finks toward my 10% gold, they see play in decks of either color like true hybrids. I organize them in gold but they make drafting smoother, the opposite of gold.
I don't think it's better than pridemage. That thing is nuts.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
Yeah as stated, GW is stacked. I see the potential and love this guy, but even sitting at 6 cards (drop down to 5 after testing from the ravnica block), it's gonna be hard to find this guy a spot. Kitchen Finks is going nowhere, Loam Lion and Dryad Militant are solid 1 drops which is a spot that needs filling, Qasali Pridemage is a tried and true card, leaving me with Mirari's Wake, a super ramp card, and Knight of the Reliquary, a super solid card. And I'm cutting a card when the next set comes out. Is it better than both these cards, does it fill a spot like both these cards do? It's a tough answer for me honestly.

This sums up my feelings. With five slots per guild, I'm not sure this makes it in. Selesnya is superstacked and I don't think Voice--as cool as it is--is good enough. It is close but just a little less good than other options.
I would probably rank this as the 4th best Selesnya card, unfortunately, my Selesnya section is only 3 cards deep.
So this just misses the cut for my cube.
Where does this fall for you? I think a number of cards are better than it, but that doesn't mean this isn't a powerful card. It's deceptively good, but GW is ridiculously stacked.
1 Kitchen Finks
2 Dryad Militant
3 Qsali Pridemage
4 Voice of Ressurgance (theory crafting, testing will show if it's better or worse.
5 Loam Lion
6 Knight of the Reliquary/Armada Wurm/Mirari's Wake
I like including hybrids in the guild section since they help push out gold cards and I also run green aggro so this list isn't the most helpful for most cubes.

1. Kitchen Finks
2. Qasali Pridemage
3. Dryad Militant
4. Loam Lion
5-8. Mirari's Wake/Knight of the Reliquary/Armada Wurm/Voice of Resurgence (all depending on what you support in your cube)
9. Sigarda, Host of Herons
10. Advent of the Wurm
1 and 2 are very far ahead. Pridemage #1 by a wide margin based on the sheer number of powerful artifacts and enchantments in my cube.
3 and 4 are actually pretty close, i can see these swapping at some point.
Rest doesn't really matter since my GW section is only 3 cards deep.
I could also see cutting Loam Lion if white or green gets another playable 1-drop at the same time to replace it. But I still need it for my critical mass for the time being.
So I guess it just depends on what I get next. If I get a good white or green disenchant/naturalize-on-a-stick, I can replace Pridemage for Voice. If I get a good aggro 1-drop for white or green next, I can replace Lion for Voice. I guess I'll have to play the waiting game and see.
But I could see this maybe replacing Pridemage if I can add in a comparable effect to either white or green and then sneak this dude in at #4.
I think this card is pretty damn good though.
I like Pridemage more than Loam Lion, and yes, I do support green aggro in my 360. Pridemage is good in green aggro and also everywhere else. My ranking would be around
Well, at 360 you have the concentration of 1-drops that you need for aggro without Lion. At 450, I have just about the right number of them. So Lion is more important for me because I fall short of my critical mass without it in. I can likely reach the number of disenchant effects I need for my deck without Pridemage, but I might not be able to get the quantity of 1-drops that I need without Lion.
I think Gaddock Teeg is an important GW card vs. control that doesn't often see play enough. I'm surprised to not see it in more rankings, and I wonder if it from lack of meaningful play.
I'll need to check the # of my disenchant effects in my cube. I might be able to add a more unique card, maybe. I'm not too sure. This thing price is kinda high right now. And I'm not sure about spending money on something that might not even replace the thing in my cube.

A 2/2 that gives a free Beast of Burden when it dies for 2 mana is better than I read it originally.
I don't know if it cracks into the top of the Selesnya section (I don't think it does) but it's better than I first thought.

I also misread it the first time. Missed the 'when it dies' trigger, which makes a huge difference.
