Seems to be one of the better split cards so far. Kind of wish Dimir charm had these options lol.

Any cubes plan on trying this out?

I like it a lot and I expect to see it cropping up in medium+ cubes, or even smaller than that for those who like their U/x aggro/tempo decks. Engaging both sides is a kind of a blowout; each side on its own is a little lacklustre, but when you need to bounce a creature, you need to bounce a creature. Not needing both mana in a pinch is good and both sides do defensive work when required.

Of course, bouncing your own creature is a nice option in response to a kill spell, even more so when you're also hitting something on the other side of the table.

I might. Really I'm looking for a finisher that isn't Tog or Oona right now, but this might be sweet.

I really like this card. I have -2 slots in Dimir at 360 though. Ugh, spoiler season makes me want to go to 450, where I could at least consider this.

My favorite split flavor by a mile thus far.

It looks pretty cool as a reasonably costed 2-for-1 that you can split up; unfortunately, I don't think it's better than a lot of the dimir options.

My first impression is that this is a good card that may not be as good as other stuff already in my Dimir section. I'm not running Tezz though, so my Dimir section is a little flexible. I may try it.

Excellent card that has to fight for spots in an already stacked guild. Then again, this is very similar to Jilt, which doesn't make the cut in a relatively weak Izzet guild.

There's also the possibility of just playing this in the black section, it's not far from Diabolic Edict as is.

You can't play the burn side of Jilt on its own, which makes a considerable difference to its versatility. It's true that Dimir is quite well-off nowadays, though.

Yeah, that's a big difference for sure, which is why I suggested putting it in black. I would rarely/never play Far on its own in a cube deck, but Away could definitely make the cut.

Whenever I see this card I see a 5 cmc Barin's spite which prevents me from evaluating it well.
I don't think its good enough for 360.

Decent card, but it's not going to crack Dimir sections that are smaller than ~6 cards or so.

This card is 100% going in my 550. I think its really good.

Card is nuts. I personally see no reason this has to be pigeon-holed into Dimir given how powerful both sides are. Fusing this is huge value.

This could be my favorite card spoiled so far.

What? This card is unplayable in a deck without access to both colors. The card is good because you can play either/or or both. If your only option is a 2cc Unsummon, it's complete garbage.

I think it is most sensible to run it in Dimir. You only really want to maindeck it if you're both in blue AND black, but not really if you're only in blue XOR black, if you'll tolerate the terminology. Unsummon and Diabolic Edict are on the edge of maindeckability, adding one mana to that means that single halves of this card won't be maindecked.

Note that I'm talking about drafting and decking. In game, a 1U Unsummon is sometimes precisely what you want, I do understand how split cards are good, I'm just saying that this card is drafted like a UB multicolor card and not like a UB hybrid card.

That demon in the Far art looks like it is very well endowed. Once you see it is like the Olivia Voldaren art and you just can't see it in a normal way:B:

This card is awful in a deck without both colors. It's very cool in a dimir deck but I think it's costed 1 too much for a 360.

This comment makes me think this card belong in Gatecrash. That's how a lot of cards in that set feels for me.

As for the card itself, it doesn't break top 3, or come close to it. It doesn't make it for me.

This. I'd never run this if I could play only one side of it. It's a really good card, but it's just not competitive with the best Dimir cards.

I like the card quite a bit, but I wouldn't cube it at 450 either.

I want to run it only so I can get a Flock of Seagulls alter on it.

Me either. Glad I'm not cubing it, or I'd be forced to stare at it forever.

Five mana is no paltry sum for what doesn't even amount to a true 2-for-1. I don't see this one passing muster in a cube nor any constructed format.

That's his knee, right? Right guys? ...

Considering replacing Agony warp for this card - the big difference being the mana cost. Keeping 2 mana up is a lot easier than 5.
