Is bloodghast the better cut here if I don't support black aggro in my cube? Or is shortfang just far weaker in comparison? Shortfang seems to be the more popularly drafted card in my group.
Seconded this. Razormane is ridiculously oppressive to aggressive decks, even more so than the original Masticore can be.
Moltensteel Dragon quickly fell out of favor in my eyes - it's decent in the red deck but it just dies to so much removal, and there are a giant amount of better red four drops.
Dont understand this.
It sounds like you want to cut it for beeing too good? I think it's too weak and that's the primary reason to cut it.
I'm looking to pare down my white 2cc creature section. Which of the following are the most cuttable?
Accorder Paladin
Cloistered Youth
Kor Skyfisher
Lone Missionary
Nearheath Pilgrim
Soltari Monk
Soltari Priest
Soltari Trooper
Thalia, Guardian of Thraben
Wall of Omens
Wow, that makes for a small 2-cost section, I hope this is for a really small cube. Of those, I'd cut Nearheath Pilgrim first, after that I'd have a really hard time. I'm thinking one of Lone Missionary, Soltari Pro Black, or Wall of Omens (depending ion what archetypes you want to support), but losing any of them is painful.

[CARD]
Bloodghast[/CARD] should never be cut from any cube for any reason. It is not an aggro card, it is an awesome card. Shortfang is by far more narrow and weaker.
I'm sorry, but what is so good about Bloodghast? I see that he has nice interactions with stax and braids, but all in all he is merely a 2/1 with conditional haste. My playgroup seems to consistently draft nezumi over bloodghast because we haven't really figured out how to use bloodghast other than a beater or sac outlet.
Anything I am missing? Seems that he's one of the most staple black creatures here.

Mearly a 2/1 that never dies for 2 mana that replays for free and has haste half the time. Has broken interactions with skullclamp, braids, smokestack, shaman, nightmare and survival. Has lots of extra value from mongrel, troll, masticores, bouncer, gargadon, looting, and every other discard effect, discard cost and sacrifice effect in the cube. But other than that stuff, you're not missing anything.
If you start watching all the cards that little ability of his gets extra value from, it's a lot. Even in a deck with Loam/Crucible, it's the neverending creature.

Bloodghast has synergy with sacrificing, discarding, dying, playing lands, sweepers, damaging the opponent, and probably breathing. It is quite simply a versatile card that is both feared and fought over in cube. Run it, love it, pick it.

All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what has Bloodghast ever done for us?

I know I ask question on this section before, but here's another vs matchup,
Celestial Colonnade vs U/W shockland.
This one is really tough, but you should probably just be playing both. I'd side with Colonnade as most of the time you're going to not need the mana immediately in a U/W deck (especially if it's in your opener), and it's one of the strongest manlands that just do so much.
But it's very very tough and I don't think I would ever cube without both, at any size.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.

I think the vast majority of people are going to support Earthquake over Bonfire.
I don't like red damage sweepers personally (encourage 4cc / counterburn a little too much IMO, they're not awesome in a red aggressive deck) but Earthquake is pretty awesome if you're into that.

Cards that are oppressive to aggro aren't great for cube balance, and it's not great against other strategies.
Red Elemental Blast is incredible against blue, but it's not worth the spot because it's just a hoser.

We're currently doing without any of them. Profane Command is untouchable though, that spell just means game over most of the times it resolves.

I'd cut Sorin Markov from that lot.
Nearheath Pilgrim would be my cut of choice from those white cards.
