We recently re-added Commit/Memory to support Narset/Hullbreacher/Leovold combos. Our players specifically requested this card because it interacts outside of the combo, so you'd likely play it in a deck with only 1 of these pieces, particularly if you have tutor/dig capabilities. As others have mentioned, Echo would likely only get played in Storm.
1 - TBH I'm not a fan of Char. I think (and would like) my red decks to be more tempo based than burn based
- Mizzium Mortars can count as a sweeper, especially if you're cube is filled with tokens. Spearing Spear variants usually don't make it into red based combo decks, but Mizzium Mortars + Magma Jet (scry) usually do. Its also okay in Rabble red decks and control decks. Its one of those cards that is borderline good enough for every red deck and also helps slower decks with the density of answers to strategy, but is never excellent. I would play this if having answers/ density of red removal is important for you
- Soul Sear does a fine impression of Hero's Downfall. 4 damage vs 5 damage out of a red deck is a huge difference - See GloryBringer vs Thundermaw Hellkite debate. Its a fine card for red decks that rely on Koth, Chandra and Hazoret to win the game than the traditional sling decks. Its also pretty good card in control decks - but with more planeswalker removal printed in Black/ White this loses some luster.
I personally have Magmatic Sinkhole and I would love to have a second red hero's downfall style effect ...
I think both are fine options, but I would look at your cube's removal density to fit your needs
2 - I second steve_man on this
3 - Ulamog > Emrakul > Triplicate Titan. Without Tinker, Daretti, Welder, Triplicate Titan loses a lot of its luster. Ulamog the Ceaseless hunger is can be channeled, reanimated, sneak attacked.

Agree with steve_man except I prefer BSA to Avacyn. I found leaving the mana open for Avacyn to be a pain and I love that BSA lives through Wildfire. I think they are close though.
The problem I've found is I'm frequently bottle necked on Wasteland/ Strip mine style effects for my Crucible - Fastbond - Strip Mine Lands archetype. I'm looking at these 4 Strip Mine style effects:

We have found Field of Ruin to be the best of the 4, but it’s not really a Crucible/Loam card. It’s at its best in control decks where you can fix your mana while dealing with a difficult utility or manland.
Dust Bowl > Field of Ruin ~ Tectonic Edge > Ghost Quarter

Can you sell me on Dust Bowl? I've found the cost to be too prohibitive, especially for the Crucible/ Loam deck. Is it playable as a bad Rishadon port out of an aggressive deck once it curves into 4 lands?
Does anyone have any experience with Tectonic Edge? Is it good enough as a bad Rishadon port for aggressive decks and servicable Crucible/ Loam target?
I'm not too excited about Ghost Quarter myself, I'm in the market for another wasteland style effect for my crucible deck.

I’ll also hop in on Dust Bowl because it’s currently in our Cube. It’s particularly good in decks like I mentioned in the Karn thread that ramp with a lot of artifact mana and need to attack other control decks from a different angle. I find that one of the bad matchups for rampy control (that is often non-blue) is the more disruptive blue-based control opponent, and Dust Bowl is an effective weapon in those matchups. Additionally having the ability to snipe manlands and key utility lands is helpful.
I like Dust Bowl the most if you're looking for something to actually attack the opponent's mana with. Field of Ruin is the better generically playable card, but its best used for control to have an out to opposing manlands than it is for Crucible decks to punish the opponent's greedy mana. Those are far and away my favorite two from that group though.

3 - Triplicate Titan vs Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger vs Emrakul, the Promised End IN VOID ? I don't support Tinker/Daretti, Scrap Savant strategies
- Mizzium Mortars > Thundering Rebuke > Soul Sear. Most people think it's worse than Char because it doesn't go to face, plain and simple.
- Domri if you support green aggro, Huntmaster of the Fells otherwise

- Tectonic Edge
- Dust Bowl
- Field of Ruin
Which of these 4 would you deem playable and in what order?
I'm thinking Tectonic Edge > Ghost Quarter > Field of Ruin > Dust Bowl (I think the mana cost is way too prohibitive)
