Same. I don't think it's really that much better than Thundermaw as Thundermaw also has a lot of pros, more importantly having 5 toughness really is that much more of a boon for a red 5 drop since you can curve into Wildfire from there.
I should had clarified that I do not support the Wildfire archetype.
I'm still sorta surprised by how much people seems to be preferring Thundermaw though. From my experiences, the ability to double as a removal spell for most creatures heavily outweighs the extra power and guaranteed swing for damage.
I guess I should also mention that I don't own a Purphorus currently, if that matters for the Siege-Gang evaluation.
It would be less surprising if you played the wildfire archetpe, as that is a big draw, like I'm not sure I disagree if it's a 4/4. But being a 5/5 and still having removal (sometimes/often(?) debatably better) makes it pretty cut and dry for me.

Many flying creatures either have 1 toughness or 4 power, Thundermaw Hellkite’s stats / abilities is key against a lot of cards. There’s a also a lot of cards that produce multiple flying tokens like Hornet Queen / Lingering Souls / Bitterblossom / Pia and Kiran Nalaar / etc. Being able to break through tokens is huge for a flying finisher, especially if you’re up against a Hornet Queen.
Siege-Gang Commander has all the synergies in the world and is great value by itself. Glorybringer is strong, but I think its competition is too stiff. It’s too functionally similar to Hellkite / Sarkhan and Siege-Gang Commander / Zealous Conscripts are also very powerful while supporting other strategic objectives. I like Zealous Conscripts more than Glorybringer even without Kiki-Twin support.
I don't think I would count Skyfisher as a 2cmc creature if I ran it. I'd count it as 2cmc + whatever I'm expecting to bounce. I think if you're playing Skyfisher turn 2 and bouncing a 1 cmc permanent or a land, you're hurting your board more than a 2/3 flyer helps. But if white has enough turn 2 action without any of those 3 cards, Skyfisher is much better than the other two.
Y'all mind scrolling up a bit and catching my two wee little questions before they melt away into obscurity?
I dislike un-interactive aggro, I love bounce/flicker, and am a little down on the Vanguard, especially when you get forced to pay 8 life to your 2-drop from instant-removal in response to the activation. Skyfisher > Vanguard > Trooper.
What happens when we add Glory-Bound Initiate to the mix of white 2-drops? My feeling is that it's not as good as Skyfisher but better than the others. What do y'all think?

As someone that doesn't play Wildfire, I rank them Thundermaw > Glorybringer > Sarkhan. Having a much larger immediate impact makes him better than Sarkhan. I've also seen Glorybringer being reanimated before, off-color, and it performed surprisingly well in that role.
Adanto Vanguard (unkillable, high power for cost) > Kor Skyfisher (evasive, sturdy, cheap) > Soltari Trooper (not being able to block while not really offering too much offensively is entirely skippable)
I like Glory-Bound Initiate more than all the aforementioned options. Adorned Pouncer has been on my short list for a while, but I'd say:
Glory-Bound Initiate > Kor Skyfisher > Adanto Vanguard > Adorned Pouncer >= Soltari Trooper
glorybound > adanto > Pouncer > Kor Fisher > Trooper for me.
with all the varying rankings i think you can safely say it depends on your cube and play style. the difference in power between these cards is unlikely to make or break a deck so I think just include the ones that fit best for you.
Obviously for Kor Skyfisherone of the largest variables in its evaluation is whether your environment is powered; i.e. whether it can reset cards like Moxen, Sol Ring, etc. I personally have no play experience with Adanto Vanguard so I'm curious what could account for the tremendous swings in its rankings here.
Thanks for the replies ya'll. I'm gonna test Skyfisher and then Adanto Vanguard next because I have the least experience with them.

OK. So, which is the better cube card? Basalt Monolith or Mishra's Workshop? My brain tells me Monolith, but my heart tells me Workshop. Monolith goes into so many more decks. I think I just want someone to tell me why Workshop ain't that hot in cube...but man, an early Wurmcoil or Battlesphere sounds fun. Maybe I should go Metalworker instead? Where does he fit in all this? Obviously, he would be better WITH a Workshop.

Mirror Entity vs. Hallowed Spiritkeeper. I lean toward the Spiritkeeper, but Entity has been in my cube since the beginning.
