What's going on with IKO!? Is it just me or is this set insane already? It feels like it supplements so many cube strategies!
Persist Combo, Spells Matter, Pod, Tempo
And still it has a good handful of good cards that may just make it into cubes.
Cycling Naturalize? Check.
Hybrid 8 hand card? Check.
Cycling Abrade variant? Check.
Solid green 6 mana creature? Check.
Another good green PW for 5? Check.
Big red top end with trample and haste that's not a dead hand card early? Check.
I feel kinda overwhelmed by options right now.
If the rest of the spoiled cards is crap we still got a pretty good set imo.
Wow.
This was a real fun project to do. I'll probably work on it quite a bit more but it's great to see some old friends again. (Like remember when Arc-Slogger was a good card?)
Because of the pandemic, me and my friends have been cube drafting on Tabletop Simulator. We've been having a great time. If you guys ever want to get a cube draft going, even a 2 man Rochester draft, I'm down. I can upload your cubes to TTS for you and teach you TTS, it's real easy.
Putting together a budget cube and coming to the conclusion that the lands will probably have to be peasant-style tap lands (Tri/Vivid/Thriving my top 20 picks due to versatility in draft). If I'm aiming to support 2 color decks (but not really more colors) how many more cycles would you recommend adding? 0-2 more sounds reasonable to me (likely the bounce/scry cycles), but having trouble making up my mind.
Which do you prefer, the bounce or the scry? Could the signets reasonably fill the role of 3rd cycle of fixers? Alternatively springing a part of the budget on the man lands as lands that aren't too expensive and may survive the transition if I ever decide to de-budgetize the cube?
Any budget colorless lands anyone really loves (I didn't really see any on first glance)?
Question for all of you, in the pandemic era have you found an online program for drafting you like? I've been mostly doing rotisserie because it avoids the question all together but it would be nice to be able to do proper drafts. Thanks in advance!

On the off chance you're still looking for replies to this two weeks later I am a big fan of the scrylands. The creature lands are also mostly quite good too. They're the two strongest cycles of always tapped duals.
I'm Monkey D Luffy/OP_Forever. I can't access the old account somehow because of twitch thing which is kinda confusing. So if anyone can help me access the old accounts instead, that'll be great.
I used to be a mod here but I'm sure my inactivity got me demod. I'm sorry if that caused any inconveniences to anyone. I start the Includes and Testing Result thread and I'm glad to see that is still being used and continue today to be helpful to other people.
The reason behind my inactivity is because my cube was destroyed by a fire. I moved from Seattle to live in 3rd world country back then and even right now and my income is rather limited (minimum wage here is $10 a day. I do make over minimum wage but basically it's hard for me to rebuild my cube).
But now I wanted to rebuild my cube again. My old cube list is here.
So I want to ask for help if about the cube staple cards that I miss since then. Because I plan to rebuild my 360 cube from the beginning, I want to avoid unnecessary expenses on what will be cut soon. If some of the people here can list me those new staples, I'll greatly appreciate it. Especially cards from the non main sets like commander.
I don't have any cube extras floating around, but I hope other folks do. Good luck with your project!
I have build some extra savings to rebuild my cube over the years fortunately.
wtwlf123, Do you have any suggestions for 360 cube staples that are not covered in your articles? I think you didn't cover the non-standard sets like Modern Horizons and Commander right?

me and my playgroup (with some new people) had a great Cube day today, with a 8 person draft followed by a 6 person draft later this day. It was a good experience for everyone. I then asked for feedback on the cube, and I got two main complaints:
1. Not enought Removal in the Cube.
I attached my list here and would like to hear from you what you think about this statement.
2. Not enough cool Artifact stuff
That one friend is really high on sweet artifact stuff. I went to add Goblin Welder, Daretti, Scrap Savant, Emry, Lurker of the Loch, Urza's Bauble and Mishra's Bauble and some others to satisfy his needs.
Today her went 0-3 with his u/r forced artifact deck in the 6 player draft. He says the artifact stuff is not strong enough. What is your experience with the aforementioned cards in cube? Please also check out my list to see what other artifact stuff is in there.
1. Removal is a group-specific thing, and there's no "right" answer. There should be enough so that players are without answers, but not so much that every creature just dies.
2. The artifact.dec is a strong archetype in my cube. You can give my list a look-over for some ideas if you want.
Recently began building a peasant cube -- one large downside of not proxying and not having a consistent playgroup of people you know is fear of theft. Decided a peasant cube would be the way to accomplish multiple goals 1) Cube without fear 2) Acts as a stepping stone to establish trust and a playgroup for the main cube 3) Allows me to play with a brand new pool of cards/archetypes which has its own benefits ranging from keeping cube play fresh to identifying common/uncommon cards that play significantly better than I'd given them credit for.
I've started by pulling peasant legal cards from my main cube, naturally those tend to appear in power focused peasant lists as well. Then I looked at the cards I owned and pulled out those I found to be high performers. Then I began to look at some lists for inspiration - so far MatEffect and JankDiver, but there will be others I reference as well -- I was surprised at how many pauper/peasant format cards and even archetypes I was able to self-identify even before looking at lists.
Sidenote: If others don't know this JankDiver appears to have a historic peasant cube client with the functionality to draft, export draft lists into arena, and then they use direct challenge to play cube games. Have found this system to be very innovative. Probably requires the cube players to have all of the commons/uncommon which are in the cube but at least obtaining those wild cards isn't so painful from what I remember of Arena.
You might find some inspiration with the MTGS Average Peasant Cube I put together last year (and try to do every year). The tags and filters are little wonky on CubeCobra, but you can filter down from only the cards included the the most cubes to the cards included in the least.

Ignoring what Magic players say isn't the answer, it's listening to what they have to say and doing the exact opposite that's correct.
