Prophetic Calamity
Sorcery 2UWW
Destroy all creatures. They can't be regenerated. Look at the top four cards of your library. Put one of those cards into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.
I would love too see that printed. Especially because UW needs more cards that are good in UW decks.
But I agree that the bury clause should be removed. Especially because the card feels more UW without "They can't be regenerated.".
And I actually don't think it would be overpowered. Yes, it would be good, but when was the last time a UW control deck was dominating standard? When was the last time a true control deck dominated standard even? I can't remember it. And the card aren't good enough for T1 or Legacy, so no harm done there.
The blue wall is probably too good, but I'd love to see it still. What I really want is a blue Wall of Blossoms. I'd be fine with that.
The Wrath I could envision being printed though. It's the same cost/benefit mindset they used when making Prophetic Bolt. Shave off 1 from the total cost of the combined cards (that one was Lightning Blast + Impulse at the time) in exchange for it being a 2-color card. It keeps the more restrictive sorcery-speed of the two cards. It would be really good, but it's still inside design parameters.
Agree with the comment that we're comparing Lightning Burst to ***
Keep in mind that Impulse has not been reprinted and I don't see it happening any time soon. Also we have not seen a UW wrath before and with what Wizards is doing to blue I don't see it anytime soon.

I vote Print it Wizards...
5cc has dominated standard at points as much as any deck recently. I think it is safe to call it a true control deck... Assume this means you don't play standard.

True, I haven't played standard since Odyssey.
But I've been following it. And yeah 5cc is possibly a control deck, but it's more just a good-stuff deck, enabled by the broken combination of Vivids and Reflecting Pool.
So lets just cut it back to my original statement. When was the last time there were a UW control deck. (That imo should be the most common color combination for a control deck). I think it was the counter-rebel deck that was the last succesful one... Correct me if I'm wrong iceage.

LOL at Magus of the Nightmare... a bit strong, ya?
I like the red Vise dude though.
The BR non-basic sinkhole is a bit more balanced... but probably too good to print still.
What about a black reanimation spell on a stick?:
Marauding Necromancer 2B
Creature - Human Knight Wizard
First Strike. When ~ enters the battlefield, put target creature card from a graveyard onto the battlefield under your control. You lose life equal to its converted mana cost. If ~ would go into the graveyard from anywhere, exile it instead.
2/1
Or a good discard on a stick creature:
Maddening Jester BB
Creature - Zombie Wizard
When ~ enters the battlefield, lose 2 life and choose an opponent. That player discards a card at random.

Both of those are awesome. As far as a good 2cmc counter spells maybe:
No. Maybe? UU
Counter target spell. If kicker was not paid that spell's controller may pay 2 to counter ~.
Kicker 1U
or
I Can't Think Of Names UU
Counter target spell unless it's controller pays 2. If target spell's controller pays this cost draw a card.
I know the wording/templating is suspect but I think both are fair and I'd be VERY happy to cube. Think both are fair at UU.

I like 'em both. I think they'd read something like this:
Essence Crash UU
Instant
Kicker 1U.
Counter target spell unless its controller pays 2. If the kicker cost was paid, counter that spell instead.
and
Stray Cast UU
Instant
Counter target spell. That spell's controller may pay 2. If he or she does, draw a card instead.
Personally, I think the kicker on the top spell should be U instead of 1U, and the alternate effect on the bottom one should allow you to draw two cards. That way, the top spell is still not "strictly" better than a recently printed hard-counter I'd rather not mention here, and the bottom one gains little bit more power (and it should... cards that give your opponent the chance to determine what they do need to be way ahead of the curve with their effects). However, I think I'd play both as suggested.

I could see a U kicker for the first spell. Could also see 1U cost and UU kicker.
Two cards for the bottom is quite greedy. Don't think of this as a card that lets the opponent decide (ala Browbeat) but think of it as a Mana Leak variant with both sides being bad for the opponent. Drawing two cards if the opponent pays pushes this card outside of what you'd expect to be printed now.

I love this, absolutely awesome. I might just make them and print them for my cube. My mana curve is a big high and I would love Stasis in my cube but it's not playable outside of a deck being built for it but in a Crystal Shard deck, it would be awesome.

The blue enchantment Magus was tough, could also be Opposition or a 2/1 Standstill guy.
What about the perfect reanimator counterspell:
Fueled Counterspell UU
Instant
As an additional cost to cast ~, discard a card.
Counter target spell.
Or:
Counterkick UU
Instant
Kicker 1
Counter target creature spell.
If the kicker was paid, counter any spell.
I like the second one, however don't think cards that are strictly better than Cancel in the three mana spot have much hope. Wouldn't mind a 1UU counter+loot though.
I think the moral of the story is everything should have kicker.

That's why wizards should make Counterspell a staple again instead of sucky Cancel. I understand why they don't do it, but the problem is that it will be difficult for us cubers, to get new good counterspells at low cc. Counterspell aren't even good enough for T1/legacy, so it's strictly because of Standard they won't reprint counterspell.
"Curse you standard"...
Do you think that wizards will ever print cards that won't go into standard, but are printed for T1/legacy/EDH? That means cards that are banned in standard when they are printed? Or what about "Legendary spells" that you can only play one of in a deck. That would make it possible to make a counterspell part 2 card.

I don't see them doing it any time soon. As far as "legendary" spells it seems like the time to introduce it would have been with Mythics. Also Wizards I think dislikes restricted cards (as opposed to banned) and I don't seem them doing it. Lastly I think they would want this type of card to be cool and splashy not a cheap, efficient counterspell.

This thread is about what cards we want printed for our cubes. Obviously it's all going to be busted-ass stuff.

Really out of date cube thread with pictures.
Red Ritual - R
Instant
Add RRR to your mana pool.
Standard would suffer, but it would be worth it for the cube.
Fixhole RR
Sorcery
Destroy target nonbasic land.
Never getting printed but would be nice.
