Roar of Rage — RG Instant
Add CRG to your mana pool. If that mana is spent on a creature spell, it gets +2/+0 and gains haste and trample until end of turn. At end of turn, if the creature attacked and it's not red or green, sacrifice it.
Favor Unimagined XU
Instant R
Search your library for X cards with different names and separate them into a face-down pile and a face-up pile. An opponent chooses one of those piles. Reveal the face-down pile. Put the chosen pile into your hand and the other into your graveyard.
Edit: Slight tweak to ensure non-cheating if they put the face-down pile into your hand.

Just looking for anything to fit into the RG guild that isn't a 4 drop.
Is that really that much better than tin street hooligan? I mean, I know it's better, but I don't know if it's enough better to cube, especially at 3. I think wizards would totally print a rg hybrid 2/2 for 2 that killed an artifact when it came into play.

I like it more. the 3rd toughness being able to attack through bears is surprisingly relevant, and there's just odd situations in which tin-street is a little less than what you want
The cutest of which is when you have something that makes him cost less, like a flipped duskwatch recruiter TRY AND PAY GREEN NOW!

Lol, THE ONE DOWNSIDE I NEVER CONSIDERED. DUSKWATCH RECRUITER. You're right, Tin street hooligan, D-, this card, A++. =P
That azorius 2-drop isn't even close to being printable. You aren't going to get 2 power and card draw for 2 mana. Better yet with flying. Or with Scry 3 first! Or with a hybrid mana cost...
Given Baleful Strix, I could see a 2/1 flying draw a card for WU. I could maybe even see another small bonus like Scry 1 on there. But yeah, the card as described is insane.

Yeah. a 2/1 hybrid flyer with just scry three MIGHT be printable in a supplemental product. Look at omenspeaker for what scry on a 2-mana creature gets you.
Just a few rare token producing spells I thought of tonight. Would you run any of them? Comments welcome!
Daunting DerechoUR
Instant (R)
Return target creature to its owner hand.
Put a 3/1 red Elemental token with haste onto the battlefield. It has “Sacrifice this creature at the beginning of the next end step.”
This is interesting, but I'm not sure it's going to be good enough. BCS, it's an Unsummon + a Lava Spike? And that's if you use it at sorcery speed, otherwise the token probably dies.
Actually, you can cast this after declare attacks and trade the token into an attacker, so maybe it's a little better than that. It still seems underwhelming for a multicolored card.
What about a Tidal Wave/Unsummon mix in mono-U?
Sudden Crash 1UU
Instant
Return target creature to its owner's hand. Put a 3/3 blue Wave token with defender onto the battlefield. Sacrifice it at the beginning of the next end step.
Assassin's Haunt2B
Enchantment (R)
Creatures you control have skulk. 5BB: Put a 1/1 black Assassin token onto the battlefield with ““Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, that player loses the game.” Activate this ability only during your end step.
Mass Skulk seems rather powerful, but at 2B and without providing another effect until you hit 7 mana, it's probably not *overpowered*.
Kind of wish this had a middling payoff. Like, maybe it puts a 1/1 deathtouch into play for 3B?
Support of the Conclave3GW
Sorcery (R)
Put two green and white Elemental creature tokens onto the battlefield with trample and “This creature’s power and toughness are each equal to the number of creatures you control.”
It's interesting, for sure. I don't think it's stronger than Armada Wurm for one more mana, and that generally doesn't make cubes these days.
Birth by BloodlettingXXB
Sorcery (R)
As an additional cost to cast Birth by Bloodletting pay X life.
Put X 3/3 black Demon tokens with Flying onto the battlefield.
2B and 3 life for a 3/3 demon is pretty weak. No one's lining up for Necrogen Scudder. 4B and 6 life for two 3/3's is solid, but a fairly large drawback and seems underwhelming compared to Priest of the Blood Rite. Overall, I'm not impressed.
Resistance of the FallenW
Instant (R)
Cast Resistance of the Fallen only during the declare blockers step on an opponent’s turn.
For each creature attacking you put an X/X white Spirit token with flying onto the battlefield where X is equal to the number of creatures in your graveyard.
This seems pretty insane. One dead creature means this is a Flurry of Wings, which is a 3 mana, 3-color card. Any more dead creatures than that, and this is a massive blowout.
Heroic Measures
Instant (R)
Escalate
Choose one or more—
- Put a 2/2 red and white Human Soldier creature token onto the battlefield.
- Target creature gains haste and +1/+1 until end of turn.
- Target creature gains lifelink and +1/+1 until end of turn.
This seems pretty bad. Maybe if you make the buff modes "each creature you control", so they can affect the token?

On Derecho I want the ability for the card to be used offensively or defensively as this is more true to the color pairing. On your turn it bounces a guy and sets up an open swing for 3 or more. On your opponents turn it repels an attacker and allows for a high powered blocker.
Assassin's Hunt takes Behind the Scenes but attaches an activated ability that doesn't work against skulk unlike Behind the Scenes. I also love game ending otherwise vanilla 1/1's.
Glad you liked my Selesnya token design!
I think you misread Birth by Bloodletting. You pay life = to X so it scales as follows.
2B = 3/3 flying Demon, pay 1 life
4B = Two 3/3 flying Demons, pay 2 life
6B = Three 3/3 flying Demons, pay 3 life
Should make the card more palatable to you.
I missed the exile at end of turn clause on Resistance of the Fallen. This is supposed to be a one-time defensive effect. Let me know how this changes your analysis.
I'm scrapping Heroic Measures....I love the idea of hybrid escalate spells but I don't like the execution here.
Derecho mostly still seems odd to me. UR as a color pair tends towards a controlling build, so most of the time this seems like it will be used defensively. Which is fine, but multicolor sections are *really* hard to crack into in cube.
Assassin's Haunt seems alright. Behind the Scenes was never really that exciting to me (it doesn't have as much anti-synergy as you think though, as you can pump after blockers are declared, which can be very strong).
For some reason I thought it was X*3 for Bloodletting, I guess it's decent as it is. It kind of reminds me of Indulgent Tormentor, which has a 3 mana and 5 mana mode.
Resistance of the Fallen is a bit more palatable if it's just that turn, since this doesn't become a one mana wrath all attackers and then swing back for lethal. It still seems like it should be a few more mana though, especially as it doesn't really do anything in the early turns.

My playgroup has just started design on a full custom block, rather than single cards. I'll use this thread for any potentially cubable designs that show up.

Artifact Creature -- Snake Construct

Creature -- Human Knight
Exuberance (When you cast this spell, revel 2. To revel 2, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card that costs less than 2. You may cast it. Put the exiled cards on the bottom in a random order.)
Maneuver (Whenever this creature becomes blocked, creatures blocking it get -1/-1 until end of turn.)

Yeah, I can get behind a fixed flanking. That's not the part I'm concerned about.
Seems like an effectively 3-mana dude that guarantees Cascade into a 1-mana spell is awful strong. (It'd also be broken in the Cascade/0-Mana Suspend decks in eternal formats, but that's another story)

The flanking comment was a response to psly4mne, your comment just ended up between because of timing.
It is quite good -- pretty close to shardless agent, with some pros and some cons. You can't hit a Hymn or an Ancestral Vision (or rather, you would stop if you revealed an AV, but you would be unable to cast it because revel doesn't bypass casting costs). If you don't leave up a rainbow land you have to be careful about running into cards that are the wrong color. It dies to pings. On the other hand, if you only have 1-2 one drops it can have a tutorish quality. It attacks into multiple 1/Xs better. You can cast it on turn two for curve reasons -- especially good if you have some honest to goodness 0 drops (really sick if you have a mox but no 1 drops).
It's certainly a pushed card, and may turn out to need some slight tweaks, but at the moment we think it's okay.

How would you word this effect then? I thought by adding the bit about first card each turn it would be clear that this is a replacement effect that only applies to that first draw (but it doesn't have to be the first draw on your turn).
