My thought for the jelly was that it added a liiiittle tension so it wasn't busted as a 2/1 flier for 1...not sure how about dropping that actually...anyone else weigh in on it? As for Foul Thing, yeah, the incongruous growth was just due to not checking my work haha
Foul Thing 2.0 B
Creature - Devil
Foul Thing gets +1/+0 as long as you control a Forest.
Foul Thing gets +1/+0 as long as you control a Mountain.

You COULD make it bant (need island and plains) so there's more hoops to jump through (and I think that would make sense from a flavor perspective as well), although obviously that would drastically reduce the power level. Maybe need island, plans, and then it becomes a 2/2 flyer?
I agree that a 2/1 flyer for 1, even a conditional one, might be too good to print. This guy would just be so much better than kird ape in any kind of aggressive or tempo deck.
Waterfall Elemental U
Creature -- Elemental
Flying
~ gets +0/+1 for each forest or for each mountain you control, whichever is less. 1: ~ gets +1/-1 until end of turn.
1/2
Not sure about Lord of the Weak. It's versatile, but I think most of the time it's going to shrink an opponents creature and you'll get a 2/2. Not gonna make the cut for a multicolor card that's for sure.
As for Aeromancer? I don't know. It's a 2/3 flier for 3, so that's decent and it Gaseous Forms something, which is okay. I'm not really sold on it...maybe for a huge cube?
That card is crazy. I'd cube it in a heartbeat. I don't think it would see print with Hexproof though. Reminds me of Spawnwrithe. I do really like the tension it builds in combat and I think that's some great design space to explore.
Magus of the Nightmare
1B
2B, T, Sacrifice another creature, Return ~ to its owner's hand: Return target creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield. Activate this ability only any time you could cast a sorcery.
2/2
Trying to imagine a black confluence that is as pushed as Mystic Confluence. Not very EDH-friendly but here's what I have so far. Probably still too good even at CCC, but someone in another thread mentioned how Cryptic Command is one of the few cards that is widely cubed despite its difficult color requirement, I was wondering what it would take for a similarly coated black card to make it. Kinda wanted a reanimate mode in there maybe in place of the last mode, but reanimating 3 guys seems pretty busted regardless of the life loss. Maybe lose life equal to twice the creature's CMC? I don't know.
Cruel Confluence 1BBB
Sorcery
Choose 3. The same mode can be chosen more than once
-Target player discards a card at random
-Each player sacrifices a creature
-Each opponent loses 1 life and you gain 1 life
Playing around some with the new modal design space:
Primal Devastation XBRG
Sorcery
Choose X. You may choose the same mode more than once.
• You draw two cards and you lose 2 life.
• Primal Devastation deals 4 damage to target creature or planeswalker.
• Put a 3/3 green Beast creature token onto the battlefield.

I primarily play limited, so most of my spoiler season comments view cards through that lens.
So we didn't get a UR legend for the artifact deck so I thought I would give it a whirl
Goblin TinkererUR
Goblin Legend T Sacrifice an artifact, search your library for an artifact and put it directly into play, deal 2 damage to Goblin Tinkerer
2/2
Raiding Phantasm2UR
Legendary Berserker Illusion
Haste R: Discard a artifact card, Raiding Phantasm gets +X/+X until end of turn where X is the artifacts' CMC U: Raiding Phantasm gains all abilities from target creature in your graveyard, shuffle that creature back into your library

Mishra's Mom1UR
Legendary Matron
Menace
When Mishra's mon deals combat damage to a player you may sacrifice her and put an artifact from your hand into play.
3/3
No way would a 2 mana Tinker be printed ever. The costing is all off on that card to make it printable...it would have to at least require 3 to activate.
Raiding Phantasm would be really cool, but again...it is so busted it would never see the light of day.
Mishra's Mom is a cool design and way more likely to see print--She's probably a little tough at 3/3.. It is kind of hilarious to think of a menacing mother attacking your opponents.

You are correct, I was just having fun with the. I would play the tinkerer with a 3 mana activation cost. I think there is room some day to print creature versions of tinker and sneak attack like the magus cards they print.
Bonfire Dancers R
Creature -- Human Shaman
Discard a card: add R to your mana pool for each card you've discarded this turn.
1/1
It may be too strong with looting effects, so it might need to say "for each time you've activated this ability this turn."
This seems pretty absurd. Turn one on the draw, land, him, discard 5 cards, get R, RR (3x), RRR (6x), RRRR (10x), RRRRR (15x), cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. Or, discard a card, cast Faithless Looting (4 cards left in hand), discard a card for RRR, flashback Looting, discard a card for RRRRRR, discard a card for RRRRRRR (13x total), discard a card for RRRRRRRR (21x total), Banefire with X=20.

I foresee a problem printing a balanced red dork for cube. What if....
Anaba Warpriest R
Creature - Minotaur Shaman
Whenever Anaba Warpriest dies, add R to your mana pool. Until end of turn, this mana doesn't empty from your mana pool as steps and phases end.

"Attacks each turn if able" seems appropriate. Gives its controller less of a choice about utilizing the mana generated if combat doesn't look favorable for its controller.
Drinking Wisp X(G/U)
Creature - Spirit
Flash
When ~ enters the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on it for each green mana spent to cast it.
When ~ enters the battlefield, counter target spell unless its controller pays 1 for each blue mana spent to cast it.
0/0
I think it's a bit limited if you can only use mana of the specific colors. For example, if it was worded like this instead:
Drinking Wisp 2.0X(G/U)
Creature - Spirit [R]
Flash
When ~ enters the battlefield, put X +1/+1 counters on it if green mana was spent to cast it.
When ~ enters the battlefield, you may counter target spell unless its controller pays X if blue mana spent to cast it.
0/0
That way, you can get the numbers to a respectable level with XUG available instead of needing UUUGG for a Mana Leak and a 2/2. That same casting cost would give you a 4/4 and a Convolute.
That's actually what I was thinking originally, but I thought it might be 'strictly better' than too many other cards. It is a much more playable card that way though.
I don't think it's "strictly better" than anything that way. Nothing relevant I can think of anyways.
Well, it's strictly better than syncopate and all similar cards, minus the rare case of exiling ever mattering or them having a remove soul, which is rare enough for it to be considered "strictly better," IMO. Not that I think there's any issue with printing a strictly better version of those cards, especially in a supplemental product of some kind rather than standard.
