Don't really want the other cards too much. City of brass is an alternative, Martial Coup would be nice, but the other white stuff is just better, not going to comit to red with those cards (unless we go build-around-me wildfire...)
Alright, that leaves only the 3 remaining picks, to be assigned to seats Armageddon, Bitterblossom and Capsize by team Awesome: Harmonize, Devastating Summons, Martial Coup.
The question here is whether we want to pair the Martial Coup with the green seat or the blue one. I'm inclined to lean towards blue here, so my picks would be
C. Harmonize
B. Devastating Summons
A. Martial Coup
That's fair enough, but I think that UW is a much better colour combination than GW (I have subconsciously slotted seat C into a green midrange deck).
I agree that Harmonize is unlikely to make the final deck of whatever drafter picks it, so the real question is whether Martial Coup goes in the control deck or the goodstuff deck.
I personally think that 'goodstuff' decks have ro be real careful not to overload on expensive fatties, and Martial Coup is not as useful there. Whereas a wrath is a natural fit in a UW control deck providing board control and a finisher in a single card.
i agree with magicmerl, i was also thinking giving martial coup to Armageddon for uw control and i always like pairing mana vault with green based ramp so i was going to give capsize harmonize
also i'm upset this already started without realizing it

One, I have no idea why you are granting seat C as a midrange green deck. Mana Vault is colorless and can go in all kinds of different decks and Time Walk is almost colorless. I'd be happy playing GXu with time walk. So there's no reason to pin ourselves down to deck archetypes at this point.
I really like Mana Vault for control and Martial Coup so I'm siding with SIC on this pick as well. Plus let's be honest. If this was a regular rochester the person in seat C would definitely pick Martial Coup.
Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.
I'm sorry not everyone realized it had started. Should I have sent PMs? It was indicated in the thread title since Monday, I was just supposing that people who had shown interest would keep an eye on the thread.
Anyhow, my apologies, let's move on with pack 2 (Timestamp: 2011-01-18 21:09:29 UTC):
Manic Vandal smashing your bongs since 2010
So these are the current teams:
Team Awesome: kcolloran, magicmerl, Vol, sexyindiancurry, Dragoon
Team Bad-Ass: killem2, bondafong, Phantizle, Hicham, Doesnotapply
This means it's now team Awesome's turn to pick 3 cards for respectively seat Armageddon, Bitterblossom and Capsize.
Behold one of the sickest packs I've ever randomly generated:
1 Rancor
1 Harmonize
1 Devastating Summons
1 Wildfire
1 Calciderm
1 Decree of Justice
1 Martial Coup
1 Mana Vault
1 Winter Orb
1 Tangle Wire
1 City of Brass
Enjoy!
I think we want to take
Armageddon - Time Walk (U control)
Bitterblossom - Tangle Wire (aggro)
Capsize - Mana Vault (goodstuff)
By the way, I assume we just have public discussion on the board here?
Sure, discuss away. Part of the fun.
Correct. EDIT: if the pace is high enough we might want to consider to up the 'lock in' threshold to 3 votes. Let me know how you all feel about this.
1. Time Walk
2. Winter Orb (Which seems like the stronger aggro card to me)
3. Mana Vault
Team Aesome takes
A. Time Walk
B. Winter Orb
C. Mana Vault
On to team 2 for the next 6 picks
1. Calciderm/Decree
2. Tangle Wire
3. Rancor
Don't really want the other cards too much. City of brass is an alternative, Martial Coup would be nice, but the other white stuff is just better, not going to comit to red with those cards (unless we go build-around-me wildfire...)

If you are drafting for matchups at all, D will play A, E will play B and F will play C.
Seat D:
1 Rancor
1 City of Brass
1 Harmonize
Seat E:
1 Wildfire
1 Tangle Wire
Seat F:
1 Decree of Justice
1 Martial Coup
Pass:
1 Devastating Summons
1 Calciderm
And one more card from Seat D.

1 Rancor
1 City of Brass
Seat E:
1 Wildfire
1 Tangle Wire
Seat F:
1 Decree of Justice
1 Calciderm
Pass:
1 Devastating Summons
1 Martial Coup
1 Harmonize
I think those picks leave each seat flexible, while not passing anything crazy back.
This leaves one more pick to vote on for seat Fireball, with Calciderm and Martial Coup both having received already one vote.
As a reminder, you can find a googledoc overview here.

As a reminder, first picks were respectively Time Walk, Winter Orb and Mana Vault.

B. Devastating Summons
A. Martial Coup

Capsize:Martial Coup
Bitterblossom: Devasating Summons
Armageddon: Harmonise
And while agree harmonize is unexciting it might have a place in a 3+ color green deck, which seat 1 might end up being.
So, it looks like we have 2 votes for Martial Coup in seat C and 2 votes for it in seat A.
We need dragoon to cast the deciding vote.
Edit: Let's just keep this moving on. I'm happy to switch so that Mana Vault and Martial Coup are in the same deck.
MOVING ON.
Let's start the next pack, with player B drafting first.
For the record, yeah, I would have paired MC with MV.
I'll try to be more active for the remaining packs.
