I seem to be the only one who ranks Skullclamp over SoFI and SoFI over Jitte. I realize that putting SoFI over Jitte is questionable, but i expected Skullclamp to rank higher in everyones lists. Imo it's clearly the best.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.
Jitte and SoFI are far more consistent than Skullclamp. Clamp is better in the right deck, but Jitte and Sword are better in most decks. That's why I rank them higher.

They're all three very powerful and all three are some of the best cards in the cube, no doubt about that. The placement is just nitty griddy opinions.
I think that they all fit into slightly different decks (though they can be put into any deck with creatures and do some damage) but I enjoy playing Skullclamp more so because its power is in my control. Jitte getting counters on it for being blocked, or doing damage to a player, or planeswalker just makes it incredibly powerful. Sword of Fire and Ice doing damage to only a player (not creature nor planeswalker) and costing 1 more are the two limiting factors. Skullclamp can become a combo card with a few of the cards in the cube which is why I enjoy it very much so, though the power of all three cards are pretty damn close.
Skullclamp isn't consistent unless you grab some of its palls like Bloodghast.
Hate to point out a mistake but I voted Skullclamp as #2 but the best rank you stated was #3.
Sorry. I manually transcribed them into a spreadsheet so could easily have made some errors. Across 17 voters I don't think that the results will be materially altered however (Warhammer might edge Greaves but still remains in the same tier. Clamp stays where it is):
Can't forget about Batterskull! Though it feels like a 5cmc creature most of the time.
Vehicles like Smuggler's Copter play similar to equipment too. Both cards are incredible!
I wouldn't rank vehicles in with equipment. They do play similarly, but they need to be evaluated differently. I have three cubes ranging from fully powered, unpowered kind of tier 2, and peasant. Across all of those lists, I run the following 21 equipment. I don't think there's a 22nd that should be on this list. The bottom few here are even questionable.
I like Calibretto's list, but I would switch SoLaS and SoBaM and put SoFaF just under those. I think Claws and Greaves are more or less equal. I'd run Sword of the Animist before the Warhmammer, I think. Mortarpod goes up in rank if you are really supporting some kind of sacrifice theme.

I've found that Warhammer, although expensive, can sometimes just completely swing a game. Sword of the Animist always seemed so unimpressive. The P/T boost was meh. The ramp ability was meh. I just wasn't a fan.

It's been so long since I ran Warhammer, I just have memories of it either sitting and doing nothing or swinging the game. Sword was more steady. That said, I'm not a huge fan of either at this point. If I was going to expand my cube, I'd probably run both for a while and see which was better or that my group liked more.
Agreed.

Tier 1= Umezawa's Jitte, Sword of Fire and Ice, Skullclamp, Sword of Light and Shadow, Sword of Mind and Body
Tier 2 = Bonesplitter, Grafted Wargear
Tier 3 = Lightning Greaves, Loxodon Warhammer
Tier 4 = Basilisk Collar, Sword of Vengeance
There's sadly no new good equipment since this was posted except two missing swords.
I have tried Captain's Claws out as equipment number 11 instead of Lightning Greaves, but the boots are better.
