Welcome to MTG Salvation's You Make the Cube Project!
In this space, we will be showcasing what the Cube contains so far. For those who want to proxy the cube, renders are available here as well...
(Please be patient; I'll try to update this as fast as possible...)
I don't want to bug you, but we can an update to this thread? I'd really like to see the contents of the Cube thus far. Thank you.
Cheers,

Sorry for taking so long. I've updated it to include all Week 1 content, and I'll be updating the text for Week 2 by tomorrow. Pictures will have to wait...
After tallying the White cards, it has been determined that Green and White, with 86 cards, will not be needing a follow-up vote as they have the most cards. Blue may yet surprise us, so this isn't final.
Also of note:
- So far, 4 out of 5 planeswalkers are in...
- There are no cards with names starting with the letter 'X' yet...
- The only intact cycle is the pair of Arashi, the Sky Asunder and Jiwari, the Earth Aflame. Every other notable cycle (excepting lands and artifacts we put in as whole) has been broken so far...
- While not every set has been represented, pretty much every block has a card here...
Interesting things of note:
- Within Weeks 2 - 6, only two cycles were complete: planeswalkers, and the Lorwyn commands. That both of them come from Lorwyn is also of note.
- There will be no card starting with the letter 'X.'
Now updated to show all voting results. Remaining cards to be filled by Lesurgo.
TRIVIA:
- Number of legal targets for Trinket Mage: 6
- Number of legal nonland targets for Tolaria West: 6
- Number of legendary cards: 56 (9.33%)
- Most common creature subtype: Human (39 : 6.5%)
- Most common creature subtype that actually matters: Wizard (24 : 4%)
- Number of cards with a Ravnica block watermark: 59 (9.83%)
- Number of cards with one or more X's in the casting cost: 13 (2.16%)
I've been working on a way to generate packs out of our cube and I noticed that in the list above: Blue only has 87/88 cards listed and Multicolor only has 31/35 listed.

The method I had in mind was to generate 15 random numbers from 600 and make a booster from there, but I'm curious as to how you intend to approach it. It might generate more "realistic" boosters in that sense, or at least make life easier...
As for the other blanks, I'm still waiting on Lesurgo for his input. We might have it by tomorrow or not, but I'm sure we'll have it soon...

The way I have it set up right now, is that I am assuming 8 players * 3 packs per player (15 cards per pack). 8*3*15 = 360 cards so ...
I generate 360 random numbers from 600, and then take those 360 random numbers and "shuffle" them into packs of 15. That way you output all 24 packs to be used at once and only have to check for duplicate random numbers when you generate the original 360 without having to check each pack being generated if the cards have already been used.
C# code
//First pull all of the cards being used for the draft out of the entire pool
for (int x = 0; x < 360; x++)
{
Random gen = new Random();
int randomcard = gen.Next(1, NumberofCardsinCube);
while (draftcards.Contains(randomcard))
{
randomcard = gen.Next(1, NumberofCardsinCube);
}
draftcards.Add(randomcard);
}
//shuffle the draft pool and divide them into packs
for (int pack = 0; pack < 24; pack++)
{
for (int x = 0; x < 15; x++)
{
Random gen = new Random();
int randomcard = gen.Next(0, draftcards.Count - 1);
switch (pack)
{
case 0:
pack1.Add(draftcards[randomcard]);
break;
case 1:
pack2.Add(draftcards[randomcard]);
break;
<snip>
case 23:
pack24.Add(draftcards[randomcard]);
break;
}
draftcards.RemoveAt(randomcard);
}
}

While I don't have proficiency in C# programming or the means to compile it, I think I could do something similar with www.random.org... At least the procedure is less labor-intensive for me; compared to my original plan, the idea is very sound and much better than me generating and checking numbers 15 times or more...
I could just have all the numbers sorted and have 40 packs, but that is too greedy...
I'd like to give a big shout-out to memnarch6 for helping in the bookkeeping needs of the You Make the Cube project. Without your help, I would've gone insane...
Also, many thanks to Lesurgo for his support, both here and in the many other Limited projects...

Alas. Their contribution to Magic: the Gathering. Bravo.
This is awesome, and a great guideline to follow for a balanced Cube (those tidbits, like Tolaria West targets and whatnot are VERY relevant to me). Though it took me a while to see whether Astral Slide was really worth it. And looking over the Cube, it's pretty tough to say whether it will ever work outside of (is Winston the one where you lay them all out, and pick one by one?) a non-random draft. :\

exactly what i was thinking from just scanning over the list i saw only 2 cycling cards im sure there are at least 5-6 more but i dont think that is enough to justify adding astral slide maybe if it killed creatures but it doesnt (most of the time) at best astral slide will let you turn a trade into the opponent losing a creature and most of the time it will be a 15th pick that sits in your side.
also devine intervention....that made me laugh. win the first game and resolve it for the next 5 games until rounds over 1-0-7 me lol
