First of all, I don't like it, I love it! Nice work!!
But, kind of a different deck. I thought we had an active angels thread. But I did a quick search and didn't find it. If there had been a thread, I wouldn't have wanted to poach.
So it looks to me like the coast is clear. I would say you could include it as a valid way to go. I have certainly lost to Angels decks in the past, so they haven't been bad and Feather reusing protection spells seems like it could improve them.
If I missed an active angels thread, I apologize to all involved.
What's the reason to go Jeskai in the first place? Protection.
What goes well with protection? Creatures worth protecting.
What's the best creature to protect in Jeskai? Probably Lyra Dawnbringer.
What other stuff works with both Feather and Lyra?
Undefeated so far with this list. Do you think I should include it in the Primer?
Absolutely. I've been planning to play Jeskai Angels this entire time. I was just gonna take the information from this primer and mash it up with previous Mardu Angel lists. Could we use something better than Pillar of Origins, though?
Done.
As a small surprise, I've made yet another version that is an improvement over my previous tempo and decided to feature that instead of what I wasn't satisfied with in the end.
Yeah! I have gotten some reps in with Boros Feather and it has been surprisingly good. I am also excited about the slightest things: Temple of Triumph and Brought Back. Without a 1 drop, replacing guildgates with scrylands seems good. Having an answer to Kaya's Wrath also seems interesting.
Ive been playing feather for over 5 weeks now going 3-1 and 4-0 most of the time.
What i have found out is adanto vanguard is the worst card. He probably used to be good but there is so much burn going around (could be my meta) but even overall burn is in a lot of decks. So for the most part i'm playing a 1/1 for 2 that they shock or fanatical firebrand and i can pay 4 but usually i'm already at 12-16 life. I'm gonna try this week with swiftblade vindicator in its place. same 2 cmc and bigger upside. I'm also gonna slot 2 Tajic
Nice work! I like Vindicator and have tried to make it work in Boros Mentor builds. I also like to encourage experimentation.
But ...
Chainwhirler is a card that burn runs. And having a big butt to allow Reckless Rage on something other than Feather seems like a decent sized deal. Three toughness 2-drops with upside aren't that common, but you could pre-board with the Tocatli Honor Guards or try Burning Prophet.
You may also not be noticing the matchups where Vanguard is good. For my education, if you try starting Vanguard in the the sideboard in a burn-heavy meta, are there non-burn matchups where you would bring them in?
Hi folks, with M20 out in full today, I'm wrapping my brain around Boros Feather. I began playing during M19 so I'm actually really looking forward to the next set when M19, XLN, RIX, DOM all drop out of standard as I just don't have those collections built. I played mostly Grixis (Amass and Control) through WAR which really helped me learn a lot. Mostly because I lost a great deal of matches.
All this said, recognizing we don't know a thing about the *next set* as M20 literally dropped today officially, is it too early to start considering replacements for the cards in deck, dropping out of standard this fall? I'm sitting at a decision of ordering Reckless Rage (cheap), Lyra (less cheap), and the other pre-GRN cards (DOM lands in particular) and don't really want to waste money on cards that will disappear in short order. Also, patience sucks.
I welcome any thoughts/insights.

RNA Standard: Grixis Midrange, Jund Deathwhirler, Sultai Vannifar
GRN Standard: Red Midrange, Mono-Blue Tempo, Wr Aggro, Gruul Experimental Dinosaurs, Sultai Midrange, Jeskai Midrange
Modern: Bant Spirits
Forcing a single archetype in all formats: too many colors, bad mana.

All great, except he can't be protected from removal outside your turn. I might test still test him, though.

God's Willing makes Dive Down obsolete.
Moment of Heroism enables race mode
Season of Growth anything with Feather is a CA engine
Gnarlback Rhino another CA engine with Feather
Rienne, Angel of Rebirth also has some potential
