I don't think chandra will work but I can see jet over cure, dreadbore over downfall, etc... Gotta have the B/R scryland though to make it viable i think.

Dreadbore being a sorcery kind of turns me off running 4 in place of doom blade and company. Maybe 2 main and 2 SB? Also as far as chandra I am sure when she is able to be cast she's fine but the double red is an issue since I don't think you want to be running mountains. Underworld Cerberus is interesting though for sure but not sure what matchups you'd want him.

Underworld has been in the sb as a 2 of. I bring him in vs any deck with whip of erebus and r/g monsters. It does sometimes mess up my own whip but its is easy to play around.
Double R for Chandra has come up once or twice as an issue. What has been more difficult is finding match ups where I want her. Her 0 ability with magma jet always feels like I am cheating. Maybe she will get cut. Not sure yet. Any testing anybody can share about her would be very appreciated.
Dreadbore has been a 3 of along side of 3 downfall's. And I find it has been working out very well. I found that Dreadbore performs better than the black 2 CMC removal cards as it hits everything that I want when I want.
the bombs and skullcrack are new additinos to the sb. Magma jet and connections have been working very well together. Every time i think about cutting chandra i'll play a few games where she over performs. I have been debating her slot in the sb for a devour of flesh, not sure that 1 devour of flesh is worth it.
Well, Chandra is double red and that's not a splash. She is way to risky, but I could see it for Magma Jet and Rakdos Return, especially running Nykthos.

what about underworld cereberus since we don't play whip anymore, and we can get back all the things we pitched to pack rat, or all the grey merchants that died.

How about Rakdos Charm? First and second abilities are good against Elixir of Immortality and Whip of Erebos. Third ability punishes Master of Waves and aggro.

I'm looking forward to trying to go B/r after we have the scryland. The options we gain are huge IMO. Mizzium mortars for Baron. Rakdos's Return for control and other Midrange list. It could even be possible to go with Anger of the Gods vs aggro once all the mana is figured out. I think it's possible this could evolve into a whole new take on the deck entirely though.
I am starting to move away from devour flesh and more toward motors. I am also considering replacing Rakdous Return with something else in the sb, not sure what yet. Between duress and seize I fell like that is enough disruption and what I really need is another way to keep the pressure on control, sometimes rats demons and merchants just aren't fast enough.
Magma jet was an all star for me this past FNM. Scrye 2 was almost dirty...
I felt more in control against MBC with dreadbore, while doom blades aren't dead for me in game one.

I would advocate you cut the doomblades. between dreabore and downfall you don't need it.
When Theros came out, a friend asked me for all my MBD cards.
I gave them to him since I wasn't playing it at the time.
I then got stomped several FNM's in a row, so I decided to make a "mostly removal" rakdos deck.
Since my friend still had most of my MBD cards, I had to "settle" for not having 4 each of the "best" cards.
I have lost games by only having four land in play and a gary in hand.
I have lost games where my fifth land drop was a tap land and gary was in hand.
However, I really do like the mix of cards and FNM is now "fun" for me.
slaughter games is such an allstar for me: stall games out until I can strip win conditions. dreadbore makes the MBD (almost) mirror so much better...
The red/black scrye lands in BNG will replace the poopy guildgates I'm currently running.
This is what I decided to run after reading the red splash for MBD:
I like mizzium mortars alot for this deck. It does a lot for the deck. It can take out Blood Baron and in some cases act as a midrange sweeper much in the way it did for Jund last season.

Your manabase plays 9 red sources. Good luck casting that.
And you're only playing 4 Mutavaults in your list, so Pack Rat is significantly weaker. Mutavault is one of the best cards in this deck.
haven't had much of a problem with casting chandra. she is never played on turn 4.
yes pat rat is weaker than in a mono black version but red provides more options vs agro and control decks.
try it and let me know your experience.
