I tested a theory this week. An all creature side board and it smashed face.
4x Soldier of the Pantheon
4x Tithe Drinker
2x Sin Collector
3x Lifebane Zombie
1 BBoV
1 Aetherling
Against control all 15 come in. Against aggro the Soldiers, Drinkers and BBoV. Against midrange just win with your mainboard plus zombies.
.
Tithe Drinker wrecked aggro, Lifebane zombie took out BBoV in the mirror.
This makes me think Esper midrange might be worth more thought, instead of just a SB strategy. There are some awfully good CA creatures at our disposal, and we're all on Esper for the removal available. Thoughts?

I think it's more powerful as a sideboard (WTF) play. You actually don't need the Tithe Drinkers those were put in by my friend to rub in the fact that we CAN crush with a 15 creature sideboard.
If you want to run Esper Midrange it behooves you to take another look at Ashiok. This card is currently under-looked but will find several decks in the coming months. I might craft a shell for Beijing merely to show people that an Ashiok shell can be viable. If my team can get together we could run 5 Ashiok shells we have a modest chance at another Top 8 for our team. But I don't really want to raise the Ashiok price right now as I'm quietly buying them up at a very low price.
Why would you ever play Tithe Drinker over other, better two drops? Most noticeably Precinct Captain.
Boarding in creatures against control opponents dumb enough to board out too much removal is a viable strategy but is really not as ideal as actually having good SB cards.

YOu missed my last post about Tithe Drinker. Look up ^^ = )
It's not dumb for opponent to take out a nice chuck of their removal when all they see in G1 is 1 BBoV. Then we fire back with a 20 creature, 6 walker attack that auto-wins!

At some point you have to give up what makes your deck coherent because you are slotting too many creatures in. I think you are just over killing that SB strategy far more than you actually need to.
So basically you've just said that your highly motivated by your ego, rather than actually optimising decks? Okay then.
Surprised that you didn't use Nightveil Specter/Fiendslayer Palandin, and that you used Aetherling.
Actually I never said that. Are you trying to bait me again? Adding the full amount of creatures becomes an instant blowout in most games. As said, one of my teammates put the Drinkers in, you could use Specters but we've been using specters in the side for a LONG time and got a little sick of it.

Sometimes T1 Soldier T2 Drinker...which was quite good.
