The Pikemaster is not particularly good. It has its moments but the deck does not need more four drops. As biniaris pointed out the deck has two planeswalkers to choose from at the four spot.
Right now monowhite soldiers has its core cards in place. Its a decent deck but it is by no means prepared to step up against the top tier decks. It can fill the void left by kithkin if it gets a card that nets it tremendous card and tempo advantage i.e. spectral procession or (IMO something cooler, not necessarily better mind you, like) raise the alarm (or some variant of it). It has everything it can take from alara and m10. Its just waiting for zen now.
Hey guys, I'm wondering if you could help with my deck. Ever since I started this deck over a month ago it has been doing very well. However, over the past two weeks, this deck has gone into a 2-5 nose dive in matchplay and I don't understand why. Here's the deck:
I might as well address the huge elephant in the room. Yes Spectral Procession and Windbrisk Heights aren't in the deck mainly because I don't have any copies. When I was winning with this deck, I was pretty much creaming everybody so they weren't really needed and since they aren't sticking around for much longer I don't see the point in looking for them now.
So, any comments or suggestions?

I ran this Lorwyn-free deck at FNM last night. I didn't have proper sideboard cards, so I ended up running without one.
I went 2-1-1, losing to an Elf deck. Avoidable had I ran a sideboard, perhaps. My draw was against a Jund Aggro that could have gone either way in the last match.
This being my first time running WWSoldiers in a tournament rather than a casual setting, I gotta say I was really happy with how it performed. I'm really anxious for how it will perform in the coming weeks.

Today was a great day for us yall. Not only did we get Kor Skyfisher:
Kor Skyfisher
1W
Creature - Kor Soldier - common
Flying
When Kor Skyfisher enters the battlefield, return a permanent you control to its owner's hand.
2/3
We also got our replacement for Spectral Procession:
Conqueror's Pledge 2www
Sorcery
Kicker 6
Put six 1/1 white Kor Soldier creature tokens onto the battlefield. If Conqueror's Pledge was kicked, put twelve onto the battlefield instead.
Skyfisher allows us to bounce back our CoTW or Ranger of Eos and get another round of CITP effects from them, or maybe even Kazandu Blademasters. Those are the few I can think of worth it at the moment, but he also allows for landfall fun if we have something new spoiled with landfall on it. By himself, he's a good body for only 1W, and he has evasion. I honestly dont know who is more deserving of the 2 drop spot in our decks now, this guy or Kazandu, but atm, i'm leaning more toward Skyfisher.
Pledge is kind of a double edged sword, but it is the replacement we needed. While it is 2 more than Spectral, and the tokens it gives dont have flying, it DOES however get the buff from HoTP AND CoTW and all of our other soldier only buffs that the spectral tokens didnt get before, that, and theres 6 tokens instead of 3. I honestly cant think of a situation where we would be able to kick Pledge, unless the game has gone on alot longer than it should have and we have almost half the mana in our decks to play with lol.
Things will get interesting post lorwyn with our manabases when we have to decide what goes where in our 4-5 mana slots now that we have Pledge and Day of Judgement to factor into the equation. I cant wait...

I don't have any hard numbers on this, but I'm targeted more often than a black guy driving a beat-up sedan with a broken tail-light and no license plate, and Cy's well aware of that.
what can we do fend off blightning? my buddies jund deck...blightning just destroys me. i lose tempo, have to drop 2 cards (usauly high mana i'm waiting to play) and then just steamrolls me.

Honestly, you just gotta play quick, make it unwise to waste their turn 3 blightning you. Think about it, it may really hurt your hand, but apart from the life loss, does nothing to effect the game state so your elite vanguard, veteran armor smith, and the honor of pure you didn't discard will go to town on him next turn when you get to attack.
If it really bothers you that much, you can always side in Lapse of Certainty, but i wouldn't.
Please stop the rotation talk! Your only propelling the doom upon the thread! If it is merely mentioned the mods will slice it through, smoothly like butter.
Anyway! WW is going to be very usable in the near future. Best hold unto any m10 whites you have. With all the vampire decks, your going to be sittin tall with your problack army.
I haven't experienced much of those problems since I run BFT mainboard. Depends on what you are discarding, too. A 2 card loss shouldn't be a game breaker for you.

Sometimes he'll hold off on it, or top deck it when i have 2-3 cards left. I can't count the amount of times i play my 1-2 drops, he gets rid of them and i have something like my Captain of the Watch w/o the proper mana and an ajani goldmane who would die as soon as i put him in because i have no blockers gets discarded. he can then literally just kill me off with something as simple as a putrid leech while i'm hoping to topdeck into something decent.
we have no card draw so this matchup has easily been the hardest for me. when he doesn't drop into a blightning, i have been pretty consistantly winning.
I have that when ive played soldiers, it has been easy against jund and r/b aggro. I usally don't think blightning hurts as much as you make it sound. There isn't much you can do about it so just play through it as best you can.
