My brother went to our local shop and traded some stuff to update my deck (including a pair of Preeminent Captains, which I WOULDN'T have bought due to Fall's rotation, but trades are ok). Here is my deck:
Forgot to mention - I was thinking of straying away a bit from tribal (like dropping the Veteran) and go more general WW (maybe some Sigiled Paladin, etc.) Anyone thinking the same?

Goldmeadow Harrier. look its a one drop that taps problems and if it has vigilince you attack then before declare blockers tap thier creature. and its a soldier so it gets the buffs and suck DUH!

If I'm not mistaken, Captain of the Watch isn't there...I think she should be. Besides for that, you used exactly the same cards i'm using, so anything i tell you would be pretty biased. I personally go
-4 Path to Exile (sideboard it)
-7 Plains
+4 Windbrisk Heights
+3 Mutavault
+1 ajani Goldmane
+3 Captain of the Watch

So i should go weenie instead of soldiers in the MW soldier thread?

Read it again. I asked if anyone else thought about it. What better place to ask Soldier users about it than here?

In that case, I think having the deck synergestic is a very important thing. In order to switch a less synergestic card out (i'm talking about the soldier tribal here) it has to be very good. Thats my thoughts on it. Knight of the White Orchid has proven to work best for me in slower builds, unlike this style of deck.
i don't really think mono-white will progress much until we get new cards, we basically thought of everything and the thread hasn't gone anywhere in a week.
as for a splash, i like red, then blue, green, then black.
There doesn't seem to be much development on Mono-White. Perhaps we should shift focus to one specific splash?
I don't think there is anymore to develop. I think that we have some up with a few variations but all of the decks seem to be very similar. In my opinion my build is very solid and consistent and can compete with any of the decks out there. I think that adding a splash will only weaken the deck. Until Zendikar comes out we will have to stick with the Mono-White build that we have come up with. If you feel your playstyle will fit better with a splash then by all means go ahead.
I'm still in the testing phases, but I really enjoy nobilis of war. Dropping him in a turn after a Pre-cap bringing in a CoTW is pretty devastating. He also swings nicely with spirit tokens.
Still playing around. I'm playing tomorrow so I'll see if I change anything.

I don't this splashing weakens the deck. It just gets rid of the tribal in most cases and either becomes u/w aggro/control or g/w token.
Green to me is the best splash, Dauntless Escort, 1-2 Behemoth Sledge. Even Bant Sureblade, could be good, probably would have to use borderposts if you were to play sureblade. Definiteley better than mono-white.
Solid as they come, I'm not a fan for 22 lands but if can ensure at least draw 3 land by t4 you should do fine. I however would cut one harms way for a Rustic Clachan which is like a semi-harm's way when you want it too be or an extra land when you need it.

Anything to make it better? Seems to me like it can handle most of the metta game fine, including kithkin. Mirfolk, it seems to go 50/50 so suggestions on how to improve it on that matchup would be usefull. Jund was horrable for my early soldier decks but this can handle it, especialy after side bord.

Spectral Procession > swordsmith. Always. I would also try to fit in more 1-drops. I don't like the exalted squire, but i do like soul warden and mosquito guard. maybe take the wall out of your main deck and add some one drops there.

Dammit your right, Spectral Procession is a bomb with Windbrisk Hights.
I have a troubling match against the tezzer - timewarp- timesive combo. But I figure putting silences in the sidebord would fix that as you can throw it down so they can't spleep you. Celestial purge slows them down, but not enough.
So I am building this deck currently and I am just wondering if it will retain it's competitive edge when lorwyn drops, or am I gonna be running my naya zoo?
As of now Soldiers post-rotation will be the White weenie deck. I've heard some rumors that we'll get our own Goblin Lackey but I seriously doubt it.
I'm mostly waiting for Zendikar until I get cracking at T2 with much enthusiasm.
Interesting. I wold not turn that down but I dont think that they would give us that, that would give us way to good of a 1 drop to put in COTW. But I do agree that we will be the white weenie. I feel right now that the WW Soldier deck is a solid deck but it has its weaknesses because the soldier cards just can't always keep up with all the powerful multi-colored cards.
I've heard some rumors that we'll get our own Goblin Lackey but I seriously doubt it.
Let's see here
Turn 1- Plains, Goblin Lackey varient
Turn 2- Plains, path blocker, attack with Lackey droping COTW, Elite Vangaurd, opponent at 19
Turn 3- Plains, Honor of the Pure, Attack with everyone (4 3/3's, 1 4/4, and 1 4/3) for a total of 20 damage with vigilance. Dead opponent.
I think it's safe to say we won't be getting an exact copy of Goblin Lackey. Yeah it's an unbelievable hand, but I don't think they would give us access to a turn three kill.

as for a splash, i like red, then blue, green, then black.
red because of glory of warfare, lightning bolt, and other soldiers like hearthfire hobgoblin.
blue for meddling mage, counters, and sleep.
green for dauntless escort, and behemoth sledge.
black for...pretty much nothing i can think of right now other than zealous persecution.

Honestly, PC gets focused he hardly works anyway so he's not too big of a hit, but losing Spec Proc and the Heights is genna suck imo
EDIT: losing mirror entity will also be a pain, but as with PC he's almost always focus killed...
