Sure, you have a new Savannah Lions, but Kithkin still has Isamaru.
Why are you trying to make a sub-optimal list pre-rotation? Kithkin is the only way to go, with MWC being a distant memory as Wrath leaves.
A lot of "Kithkin" lists are starting to break away from running tons of Kithkin. And way to present your opinion as if it's a fact. Some people enjoy not netdecking.

I'm not suggesting that you're a douche for wanting something different, but when you're trying to get away from something like KITHKIN (a proven winner in every moment of its legality) I think it's fair to make the argument to stay with it.
Yes, I realize Kithkin has gotten away from the Cenns and Borderguards for quite some time now, but with Anthem leaving the format (which seems to be very possible right now), going back to Cenn would make all the sense in the world.
I guess if I had to go away from Kithkin, I'd definately go for the Non-Kithkin WW option. Figure of Destiny would still be there, but you'd go for Savannah Lions, White Knight, Stillmoon Cavalier, etc.
Something about a 6cmc soldier lord does absolutely nothing for me, but the thought of running Cloudgoat Ranger into that guy is scary, in a format without Wrath.

That's what I'm talking about. And that 6cmc soldier lord is absolutely ridiculous. 9 power, 4 creatures for SIX mana. With Preminent Captain, Ballyrush Banneret that guy can get cheated out quickly.
You can't forget Silence! That card is going to be the bomb! Also, Baneslayer Angel might be worth a shot? But yeah, the White cards from M10 have made me so happy!
what happened to captain of the watch? (I might put as many as 4 in depending on how well preeminent captain does)
i haven't seen a lord this good in a real long time lol
i also think martial coup should be in as a two of in here.
(for those who haven't seen it)
t1 elite vangaurd that comes into play as a 2/1
t2 veteran armorsmith p/t=2/3 that gives +1 to everyone
t3 preeminent captain Original P/T = 2/2
t4 Elspeth, Knight-Errant. now put another captain of the watch into play (from preeminent)
Each captain of the watch gives all soldiers +1/+1 and vigilance. it also puts 3 1/1 soldiers tokens that are of course boosted by CotW into play each. its a 3/3.
t5 hopefully draw another CotW. lets say you don't but you still attacked
t6 play another CotW through Windbrisk
so now at the at the end of turn 6 and only drawing two WotC you have:
1 Elite vanguard as a 4/4
1 veteran armorsmith as a 4/5
1 preeminent captain attacking as a 4/5
2 captain of the watch, both 4/5s
9 3/4 Token (6 from captains, 2 from elspeth)
and all these things have vigilance
at least 4 that have already attacked more than twice and everyone is ready to attack again on turn 5 except 1 CotW and 4 tokens
and thats all there is to it.
(in a game without wrath)
as long as you play CotW you've pretty much won the game IMO. Can you imagine if you played three (its possible on what i just wrote add 3 more 3/4 tokens and another captain of the watch, everything gets +1/+1 besides itself)
Ok, no fair. So M10 spoiler spits out a crapton of stuff that makes soldiers look all bomby, but AFTER I post, thus making me look like a douchebag? MEAN!

armorsmith has to be in. its cheap and toughness is very important where red burn is the other deck thats stirring up trouble right now. also zealous persecution can't kill your tokens this way.
3/2 with soldier type is really good anyhow. i might want something that deals first strike damage like hearthfire hobgoblins though. black gaining lots of deathtouch is the other archetype i think people are intrested in right now.
Its really faster I promise. Its not different but its faster.
Wizened Cenn gives the +1/+1 alone while the soilders need 2 dudes for that.
FASTER.
No, mono-white soldiers competely trumps kithkin from what i've seen. the finisher is just so much stronger and you can play it quicker than cloud goat ranger (as much as 3 turns quicker). thats enough to warrent the use of this deck.
wizened cenn is about the only card quicker and it doesn't have synergy with elspeth (a really good card most WW players wanted to put in kithkin)
not to mention it dies to the only fast sweep left in m10s standard (volcanic fallout)
To be honest, in a mirror match the person drawing better wins.
But Kithkin is more potent. They are bigger, quicker, faster...
First off, don't troll. nobody here wants to do kithkin.
second...
LOL no they aren't. man are you behind the times... Kithkin are infinitely slower and weaker compared to the new white cards we got in M10. We're wondering if spectral procession is fast enough in mono-white. that pretty much explains how good and fast this deck is. you really need to read inbetween the lines.
Captain of the Watch > Cloudgoat ranger
Can you use preeminent to throw down cloudgoat ranger? no...
and captain of the watch is also way stronger even if you hard cast it.
you should go to the spoiler and read it. 1 3/3 and 3 2/2s with vigilance in addition to the soldiers from elspeth is just godly. Its like if someone combined fae and kithkin in mono-white.
turn 4 is when this deck explodes. It easily doubles the amount of creatures kithkin would have at this point and the strength of the soldiers is usually twice as high. this isn't just some weird obscure combo either. its very easy to do.
The smiths are fantastic. The armosmith is a cheap, agressive body - an excellent 2 drop.. And immune to volcanic fallout to boot! The Swordsmith is more useful because of his +1/+0 ability which, makes all your other guys hit harder. Imagine...
Turn 1 - The soldier lion.
Turn 2 - Armorsmith... Suddenly you have a soldier isamaru!
Turn 3 - Smordsmith. Attack with a 3/2 and a 3/3. Laugh.
This deck is looking sick, espescially now that wrath's getting nerfed to six mana.
-MWC
-W/x [red, green, black] Tokens
-Mono White Soldiers
-Kithkin
-Non-Kithkin WW
-Tempo
I'm really looking forward to this new core set, even with the loss of ***.
Here's the start of a nasty soldier deck:
Why are you trying to make a sub-optimal list pre-rotation? Kithkin is the only way to go, with MWC being a distant memory as Wrath leaves.
A lot of "Kithkin" lists are starting to break away from running tons of Kithkin. And way to present your opinion as if it's a fact. Some people enjoy not netdecking.
And LMAO at MWC being dead because Wrath's gone.

Yeah, he's definitely a consideration. I'll bet we might see another one cc soldier out of M10 as well.

4 elite vanguard
4 honor of the pure
4 veteran armorsmith
4 preeminent captain
4 veteran swordsmith

No, it's not. And, it's something DIFFERENT.
Wizened Cenn gives the +1/+1 alone while the soilders need 2 dudes for that.
