The idea of the deck is to get Lifecrafter's Bestiary on the board, then churn through cards at mach speeds. With a Paradox Engine (and continuing to draw creatures), you can go on a pretty long string. Greenbelt Rampager + Paradox Engine can become infinte with Servant eating off the extra energy, and drawing cards with Bestiary out. Even when not going infinite, the extra mana you can net from the mana dorks can lead to a lethal Fall of the Titans, or you can just kick a Bushwhacker and swing for a lot. 14 land may not look like a lot, because it isn't, but with 6 basics tutors and 16 + 6 mana dorks, mana isn't a problem. The backup plan is to just attack with dudes; flipping Captive helps a lot with this plan. Sideboard is pure speculation.
I like the infinite cast combo the rampager/savant present and if not it is at least a great aggressive creature. I think the deck could play aggro or combo depending on the match. Haven't tested this at all, just some ideas that have been floating around since the set was spoiled. I also like that Duskwatch recruiter can fuel the combo if a Resurgence/bestiary is not drawn ( it just cost a bunch extra mana, that is why all the creatures are such low casting cost)
I don't really have any interaction since I hadn't really thought of what creatures might work best and which would not. I think as time goes on I could see cutting down to ~26 creatures and then adding in some other spells.
I had also thought about Zendikar Resurgent*. If the deck plays any, it's only 1, but only brings you down to needing two mana dorks when comboing instead of three. Not necessarily irrelevant, but I won't be starting with it. After a little bit of testing, it became clear the deck doesn't need as many many dorks as I had; instead, it needs more consistency, which is helped greatly by Vessel of Nascency. It's another turn 1 play that can help make your land drops, grabs combo pieces, helps jump start the combo, and is just generally everything the deck wants. It can also set up delirium for a deck running Traverse the Ulvenwald, which is good for obvious reasons. I'm still on Attune, to charge Servants, but that's another very plausible consideration. Finally, with Vessel added, Restoration Specialist becomes a hybrid draw card/soft combo fetch/recursion to rebound from a Fragmentize. My new list...
I've only played a few matches with it, can't give any hard stats or anything, but it seems to function. It's a Rites deck at its core, so if all else fails, you can turn dudes sideways. A lot of the pieces/tutors are recursive into one another, so assembling Voltron shouldn't take too long.
.:*edit:.
I forgot Soul of the Harvest is a Standard-legal card. If the deck plays another effect like that, I'd go with either that, or Quicksmith Spy.
I've been trying to make the bestiary work and it seems to struggle with very fast decks since you're not dropping offense or defense on turn 3... my deck list was similar... it would hang in there but seemed to lack that special something. There is something there though if it can be refined.
Playing a Bestiary on turn 3 against aggro is the wrong call 99% of the time. If it can be helped, not playing the Bestiary until the turn you go off is ideal.
