Blanchwood armor is great, but its not a final punch. I love it, but after playing for nearly an year with Blanch and Moldervine i accepted that moldervine is better. Blanchwood calls for 2 for 1. Even if you manage to play it, only troll ascetic, silhana ledgewalker or anything with prot against X is a good target. Its a nice 2 of or 3 of... if you dont have better pump in the deck.
Still green is showing gorgeous in Xth and Llorwyn screams Elven tribes.
Im a happy elve

Nice to see blanchwood is in again. I think moldervine can perform better, but still Im not into enchantment pump anymore. Maybe after Xth comes I can use blanchwood for ascetic like the good ol times..^_^
Hey! What's up?
Ohh, and I tested the snow deck....I love the viper!:) Also, I like call of the herd, but I think thee might be a bit much....I like two. I hate to see two in my opening hand...Or is two in the opening hand good? Also, I think this has a better agro match up then the MGH, cuz this never runs out ( and agro kills the forcemage), and this just recks control...GO Snow Hybrd Go!! I can't wait till Xth this deck will rock..
I still didn't have a game where the Trample enchantment would help though..

Also, Yay Blanch Wood!!!
Glad to see youre lovin the snow build FTW. I think 4 call of the herd is good too. And two CoTh at starting hand? Why that is great! When I built this hybrid I thought of Having Viper+Herd really is great against Control. I see your testin the deck and seeing why my posted hybrid works. Having 4 elves and birds really makes the deck cast it turn two, or maybe even a turn 3 force. What I really love to see is the consistent turn 2 Ohran or Herd then a turn 3 solifuge or gbreaker(with Krosa) banging against your opponent.
The snowy hybrid offers Speed, Power, and Card advantage. A good setup for a creature-based pure aggressive list such as MGA. After Xth Ill be havin troll ascetic and Overrun with it just like my previous Xth list.(post #96)
I Play this build too, but i've included 2 magus of the vineyard instead of 2 birds, and 4 giant growth instead of call of the herd, and i must say it's pretty amazing.
1 Pendalheaven is enove, 2 Treetop Vilage are enove...
and why summoner pact? do u like sacrificeing the next turn? if u need creature tutor use comune with nature .... its 1 mana, it gets u a creature, and u dont have to miss ur next turn 4 mana

Hi im building an MGA deck and would like some imput regarding my build, i know it may not seem good but im really trying and want the input to see how i can improve:
This is my build so far, any input would be appreciated.
Hmm, cut off the Giant growth, add some call of the Herd(my preference) or any haste critt like timbermare.^_^
Replace Mirri with Giant solifuge and dryad sophisticate for some gbreaker. We need bang than slow ones. I also prefer moldervine rather than blanchwood,
Have some room for overrun too. Your build is good though.
@Summoner's pact: not a bad card, but only 2 are essential if ur gonna use it.
Here is my list after XTh. Squeeze them all in I say. I'd still go snow, and my snowy creations always brought me to victory in FNMs. I know not everyone will like it but many players adopted my snowy hybrids and loved it. Well new Xth cards are in and I just squeezed them.^_^
@FTW, you may wanna try this new snowy hybrid I playtested with players in my meta.
Well I ran Monogreen at Regionals and took third with a simple build let me know what I can do if anything to it, when I play it at Nationals in a month
I think the Krosan Grip can go cause that was mainly for dragonstorm which without Seething song will be out. With Dralnu being so strong in the current meta I was thinking that Maybe I should change it to Leyline. Just wondering because I am toying with a mono-white deck at nationals as it seems to be that Control is better at Nats. What do you guys think?
@Woodhorse: I can see your havin a list with black hate maybe because of your meta. The only thing that bugs me is wood elves. Replace it with something better IMHO. remove 4 ggrowth for stonewood invocation too. Good to see you in 3rd place. COngratz! And yes, Utopia vow is sooo good.
Yeah I know
it seems that the woodelves are a bit fat. Seemed like I was holding them alot. I think that Dervs are ok with black hate but I also think that I would switch them out for the mana trickery of the Scryb rangers. I just never could get stonewood to work at 4 mana pump just too slow. And I dont really need birds cause the deck works alot with like 2 and 3 mana . Birds is not a bad idea though . I thought maybe elves out for Evo Charm? I dont know. I dont like the wildebeast thing. I need something that will stop dralnu. Really the problem is teferi, the good thing is counterspells are getting a bit nerfed with no rewind in standard. That helps alot. Stops the multi counter turn. If i cut the elves I need something 3 or under. The only card at the 4 slot should just be the mare. Then I dont get screwed so bad on the mana. I am only running 17 green ones. I dont know, any other thoughts on what to put in instead of Wood elves?
/shrug
If youre havin a problem with teferi and dralnu, U/B decks, I say go with my snowy hybrid. I playtested this list and my meta swarms with U/B. Mouth of Ronom works wonders against teferi-based lists. try the snowy hyrbid I posted at the first page and see the results.
It can work, check out the block constructed threads or pm me of you want me to build a list for you.
@Sepiriel: Well my fellow Filipino, your list looks fine. Just replace 4 Giant growth with 3 Moldervine and 1 more call of the herd. Trust me, the more creatures you have, the more chances of winning. Id still be using my snowy hybrid after Xth though. It works great in my gameplay.
well eaven thou it looks great, whateing for the 4th land drop is not optimal for MGA since the deck can put a turn 2 groundbreaker\Troll Ascetic(soon) or turn 3 Spectral Force

I think I can make the three untargetables(silhana, ascetic, solifuge) join together for their last months until Ravnica rotates. Its a strong build, but its rather slow without the snow engine..;)
well the deck is a bit slow as u said... it needs birds of paradise in it or some other way of acceleration
i think that silhana will become (if it is not already) inferior in the meta.. especialy with troll ascetic comeing
giant solifuge is a must to those who have it..
here is my version
i am keeping the snow manabase for Mouth of Ronom in SB, and overrun is sideboard against non-counterspell decks (many denial decks in my enviroment) as a last hit

@Hunter44: You forgot to list the Forests! =]
My build is, pretty much, like yours except for the Vipers, Solifuges and Timbermares. Instead of I'm using 4 Groundbreakers, 4 Spectral Forces, 4 Calls of the Herd and 4 Moldervine Cloaks.
Are you, guys, having problems with Red Deck Wins? What do you suggest.
@Oz!: Yeah ur right I forgot the snow forests..I edited it now.
My strongest build is at the first page, first post, the snowy hybrid, and the previous list I posted was the ascetic and overrun squeezed one. I still dont have offical results for the new list but it works great agains magic players in my neighborhood.
Against red deck wins? Hmm, its a damage race, and occasionally I win because of having so many critts and they are big ones to be dealt with burn spells.
You'll have to watch out for Ghitu Encampment, though. It blocks Troll Ascetic if it doesn't have Blanchwood Armor and is very difficult to remove (short of Acid-Moss or Creeping Mold). Greater Gargadon can also be tough to handle for a deck with no removal, and they will throw Mogg Fanatics and Seals of Fire at your mana elves and Birds to try and slow you down.
with a future enviroment rulled by grull, RDW etc... decks useing seal of fire, Mogg fanatic etc. the new build which skips the 2 mana line will not be efective enove
with all their burn pointed at our acceleration creatures we need to whait till the 5th drop for a Spectral Force Troll Ascetic as expected is the MVP against this decks.. being a regeration mashine it stops all creatures grull has and cant be removed
platinum angel will never be played in this enviroment... 2 many things can kill it (things that are played alot) so i dont think that it can be a problem
we need to think of a version that is not so fragile to mogg fanatic and seal of fire
