This current list is a BW Walker list with a splash of blue to include a powerful new walker in Dovin Baan. By including blue we also gain access to Oath of Jace which, in combination with all of the walkers this deck is running, allows the pilot to fairly reliably get a hold of the answers he or she looking for. Will be coming up with another list soon, likely UW focused, to compare and contrast this first list with. any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Here's a list that brings more U to the party than the first and is based on Seth Manfield's Top 8 Esper Control list from PT SOI. The lighter Walker suite opens up more slots to add in answers and filtering, which allows the deck to be more flexible, as does bringing U into a more pronounce role. Harsh Scrutiny is a card I'm very interested in, especially with all of the creature-based running around out there (that will still likely be out there after rotation) and the scry 1 is a bit of gravy. I feel this version might be more solid than the first list, but only time will tell. Control based decks rarely do well in the first few weeks of release as the meta is all up in the air, but I will likely be testing a list similar to the second in the coming weeks.
That's a lot of life loss between 3x Anguished Unmaking and 4x Painful Truths. I would suggest trying some number of Blessed Alliance in the removal suite, as well as replacing some Painful Truths with Glimmer of Genius. To use that extra energy, you could use some Aether Hubs to help smooth out the mana.
While it is a lot, there are ways to get it back, between Shambling Vent, Dovin, Sorin, and Fumigate along with Blessed Alliance, Kalitas, and the Gearhulk out of the sideboard.
Added a second version of the deck to the OP, one that goes lighter on walkers and brings blue a bit more out of the background

Reality is only what man allows it to be. Few shape it so that many may accept it.
