I built this deck last night in a burst of creativity (I usually stick to forms of tempo based Aggro, and I think it kinda shows here) I absolutly have no idea how to make those nifty deck things the other guys have, so I'll list it out as neat as possible here.
What I want to do with this deck is pretty simple, Control thier board and hand until I can drop one of my 4 Win conditions (Despair, Firemane, Debtors Knell, Demonfire) or my win combo (Knell, Moaning Well, Despair).
I used to run instead of the 2 Hide//Seek and the Demonfire 3 Delierium Skiens, but I found myself wishing I didnt have them in my hand more often then not in test games. Also the two Sulforius Springs are there becuase I dont have 4 Crypts yet.
I think its soild, but Ive noticed that getting my Firemane into the yard quickly (seems like another good trick this deck can pull) is pretty hard besides blackmailing myself, (think about that) or for them to do it.
Any help would be great, besides a B/G/w control deck Ive built this is my first attempt at something not straight tempo based aggro, my budget is pretty much open, I work for the Government and when I can keep my Fiance from spending the account I have plenty for cards.
If anyone knows why G0-DRAW was banned I would love it if they would PM me. That guy was pure entertainment 100% of the time. Plus he never publicly responded to his Contraptions "Proof" that never panned out.
Hi. I'd like some help with deck-fixing. This deck started as a Niv-Mizzet/Gelectrodes control/burn deck and I'm trying to build a combo-ish version of it, relying on drawing, Niv-Mizzet and Cerebral Vortex as win conditions.
I would need some help for developping a SB and what should I add/remove to make this deck more competitive. Here's the decklist :
What exactly is this deck doing...?
- The deck keeps my hand (and, to a lower extent, my opponent's) hand full via Vision Skeins, Telling Time, Plagiarize and Psychic Possession.
- Then, with Mindmoil and Puzzle Box, I get to draw the number of cards my hand holds quite a few time per turn, wich makes Niv-Mizzet a very efficient board-cleaner and finisher.
- The second win condition is having my opponent re-draw his hand via Puzzle Box, then casting 2+ cerebral vortex for the kill
- Mnemonic Nexus is used to prevent from milling myself, and is also handy against reanimators/golgari decks.
Building a SB
The following cards are some U or R cards I own that could be used in the deck /SB, to make the deck better for control, combo or drawing. You may as well add some cards I don't own that would work well in the deck.
Well, instead of having either White Weenie or Red Deck Wins with splash for Helix and calling it Boros Deck Wins, I acutally made a Boros deck with a nice mana curve and also Oct. 20th standard. I didn't find any Time Spiral cards to fit the Boros theme, save maybe Foriysian Totem. But not really. So, any suggestions?
Also, you may have noticed, my budget is quite large (but not unlimited). I have most of the Boros cards, save 3 Sunforgers and 2 Swiftblades. I also have 1 Glorious Anthem and 1 Worship, which will probably be comprising the bulk of my budget. I do have Fury of the Horde, only 1, and it is okay to take out.

This is because I suck at the internet. Get used to it.
Hi. Was wondering if I could get some help with this one. It's basically possible (I think), with some nice cards from TS, to make a nice old Draw-Go deck. So here was my shot:
As for what should be in/out of main/board, I really have no idea. Also note that the only rare (sorta) is Whispers. Didnt plan it that way, but its a nice side effect.
I also like Snapback as a possible option, but with boomerang and wipe away I don't know if it's really got a place.
Not Closed just in hiatus till one of us gets our RL in order. its just coincidence that me and SmS are both having significant RL issues to deal with. Luckily for you all I have Wednesday October the 4th off (only my 4th day off from my new job in 6 weeks). at that time I will attempt to read and pimp some decks. With Time Spiral being fully spoiled and about to release I will try to Time shift the decks to oct 20th legal unless anyone needs something thats legal before that. It will take me a bit to get caught up but i will do my best. I haven't played much in the last 6 weeks but that shouldn't matter much as the fundamentals of deck design and tweaking are eternal...
and i need a new sig damit..

err.. Well I got called into work wednesday.. but friday looks good.. I have one caveat.. I'm gonna do as many decks as i can.. i'm gonna use spoiler tags to make reading easier. I'm working on a new format for the Pimped Lists, the spoiler tags may end up being easier..

This is what's left of my U/W Aggro. I decided to head back into T2 using this deck.
Unfortunately, I don't have any knowledge whatsoever on which of the cards from the 2 latest sets could be put in here, so I need your help.
Regarding what kind of cards to put in, nothing too expensive of course. The most money I'll be spending on here would be the Shocklands, if that's any help.
budget: i don't want to spend more than 200 total, let alone in just my mana base, but sacrifices can be made...looks to the girlfriends cat.....
card pool is type 2
and this is a grandiso hope that this deck can go high competitive combo, that or i will play wild renewal

I'm gonna go down the list in order. i'm going to do 3 or 4 decks per post and try to do do 2 post per day. like i stated before I'm going to use spoiler tags to take up less room in stragetic places.Finished decklist and starting decklist i'm not going to spoil and my final over view as well.
Please from now on put the following in your post-
1. Card pool- i.e. Standard, extended, legacy, Vintage.
2. Play style- Casual, tournament, Multi-player, 2HG or Team.
3. Budget/Card Availibilty
4. Outline of deck and what you wish to accomplish/fix.
doesn't have to be in that order, most people already state 3/4 of this. typing a few lines to explain these will help me in pimping the decksas expediously as possible.
Also if you are on the list and the submission you posted is no longer something you wish to have pimped. Feel free to re-post a new sumission and if I have not yet gotten to your intial submission; I will pimp your new submission instead.
I hope everyone who has visited in the past checks back in to see the new decks we pimp and to use the ideas for themselves.
edit: seriously I need a new sig.. anyone help out with a decent photo editor? all i got is MSPaint...
Rather than Double post I'm gonna try to edit this in.. the First Block of Decks to get down..

I built this deck to try and capitalize on the power of Ohran Viper. It's gone through a lot of tuning - and this is where I am with it. This deck does a lot of things. It generates a fair amount of card advantage through the Guild Mage and the Viper. It makes hard to deal with creatures with the mouldervine cloak. It has a vicious mana/draw engine later in the game with Life from the Loam. It uses the under-appreciated Loaming Shaman to help hose graveyard recursion, as well as provide a means of recycling control elements. At this stage the sideboard is just a tuning mechanism to help pull in effective elements against certain decks. I also haven't tested out the Scrying Sheets yet, as I haven't come up with something good to take out to put it in. The reason for running both the cloak and wildsize is two-fold. First, wild size as an instant is an excellent surprise tactic - and means the viper can swing through heirarchs and other 4/xs in which your opponent thinks he's trading - and really you're card advantaging him. The second is the trample factor. You can use this to trample and thus draw a card even after he's block (2 cards actually, another one from wildsize). The deck originally ran Dark Confidant, however, I ended up paying too much life during the course of the game with him - as I don't have a super low mana curve. Two cards I think belong in the sideboard when the deck becomes more polished are Death Mark and Flashfreeze. Also - what's the best card to replace STE with when Kamigawa leaves standard? I'm not sure that Coiling Oracle is up to the challenge in this deck
Xyver's Overview:
Well this post is a bit older, but for the current Standard with Timespiral I believe that Snow BUG will be a very strong deck. this build here is very close to what I envision. As built there is not enough early threats to keep Viper alive. Cloak is good as is the wildsize idea but with Timespiral there are better options. in UB you have shadowmage inflitrator and dimir Cutpurse alongside Hypnotic Specter. I'd focus on the 3 drops and utilize greens 1cc accel to get out the 3 drops. Then use Rune Snag, Remand and Plaxmanta/Mystic Snake as my control. If theres room left add in the putrefy and life from the loam. Wildsize is good but I would move it the sideboard against slower creature decks.
It's easy enough to add the life from the loam engine in the sideboard if need be. if you have another vision that you'ld like help with let me know..otherwise
Your deck just got PIMPed TBstyle edit: I'll edit the other 3 decks into this post later I just got called into work
My high school football season has officially ended today.
So I guess you could say my "RL issues" are complete for now, I have a lot more time on my hands. I'm hoping to get back into this as soon as possible.
Alrighty trying to keep it under 20 bucks and tweak it a touch. since your looking to do this on MtgO then Time spiral isn't available yet. I'd say mana accel would help. utopia Sprawl/birds of paradise/Llanowar elves. with the graft your using a creature accellerator would be preferable. birds are probably outside of your price range. I prefer consistancy over power, getting more 4 of the cards that make the deck tick is preferable. from your synopsis you want a medium aggro deck with control elementals..
The deck isn't really control with only 4 counters you could switch up the sideboard to be more counter oriented.
Predator gives you a quality flier that also can take down any enchantments/artifacts that may be problematic. Perilous Research while not better than Complusive is instant and Lets you get something out of your creatures as they die, or to take out a creature that you've stolen thats going back to its owner..
Sideboard- I have no clue what remands go for online, you could switch those for Plaxmantas. I know Skyswallowers are medium priced rares, getting one as a nice win condition could be helpful.
Adding money to this would be Breeding pools, birds of paradise, Cytoshape, Cytoplast Rootkin, Giant Solifuge and Simic Sky Swallowers.
There's only one color combination that gets more from Time spiral than UG.. UG you get Mystic Snake, Unstable mutation, Psionic Blast a slew of new counters and decent creatures. Teferi and Momir Vig will be best budds, just think about it for a sec..

"Unfortunately that day will be the day after all us Homo Sapiens explode in fiery balls of death from a Thermonuclear Hell..."
The main problem with this deck is that it gets owned by Wrath of God and it really does not have a finisher. My solution to Wrath of God was Ghostway but it was useless against decks not running Wrath of God so I sb'd it. Fury Sliver and Might sliver are the closest thing to finishers in this deck but they are easily removed and are not great finishers. I wanted to include Sedge Sliver but splashing black didnt seem like a great idea to me because black does not have a lot of great slivers. Congregration at dawn is a great tutor. Glare of Subdual was the control part of this deck. I tried to make a deck using hivestone but it really didnt work out. Help me out and thanx a lot!
Graveyard hate looks like something you may need, as well as something to deal with storm. with Timespiral you maindeck may change barring that I'll make a few suggestions. here's what i suggest and then i'll explain each.
Trickbind- Its nice they brought back storm and a Card to stop it. it also has split second which is helpful, and stops a few annoying activated abilities.
shadow of doubt- stops dragonstorm and other toolbox style decks
Sudden Spoiling- lets you live another turn against swarm decks. Akroma who?
Tormod's Crypt- Reanimator has alot of targets and pairs nicely with a mill strategy.
Cancel- Never know when you might need another counter.
Now given your meta these choices could be crap. In general these cards should help against the majority of archetypes. If you find you sideboard in a card and it doesn't help, then its not a good sideboard card. or if you can think of a card that could help in a few situations against a few decks then that could be a good sideboard card.. Building good sideboards is one of the harder things to do in constructed. If you need more help tweaking the sideboard let me know.

ephraimq-Countertop
Unfortunately for this deck I got to it too late, as of october 20th this deck will no longer be standard legal. But I will pimp it and give options for a counterbalance deck after Oct 20th..
Well hmmm.. I really can't think of much to add to this deck besides the snow-covered/scrying sheets combo.. you add 4 frost marsh for the pain lands drop the duals and put in 3 scrying sheets and then 7 snow covered islands/7 snow swamps. with 4 land and a sheets it lets you dig a snow covered land out.
After Timespiral becomes legal my Counterbalance deck has become 3 color control.. UGW, mostly for congregation at dawn to set the top three cards of my library. I have yet to find a good way to manipulate the top cards of my deck but i'm working on it.. theres a few but they're not such good options at the moment. most decks that can manage the double blue I've made room for counterbalance. I figure if i counter one spell with a random flip its payed for itself... if you'd like a deck list for the UGW let me know and I'll post it.

whobetta-Haakonadredge
I always thought green/black dredge was the best way to get haakon and his knight buddies into the graveyard. with Timespiral you get a few more knights to use and some nifty new removal spells. you lose jitte but thats it.
Now I have a few ideas for this... my personal Favorite is adding the new spellshapers. specifically greenseeker and syphon-mage. of the two i think greenseeker is more effective. you also get Pentarch paladin, zhalfrin commander, skulking knight along with a few other knights in the set. if any of them are worth adding i'm not sure but there are options. as for draw options. there's phyrexian arena, confidant, ohran viper not much else in GBW.
I'll post a list after I check some things in Gatherer...
This deck relies on playing a Protean Hulk into play as early as you can, then get it killed to get 3 copies of Pride of Clouds + a bunch of Ornithopters along the way. The thing is the deck seem to rely solely on good initial draws...
I also wanted to put in more card drawing but the deck seem to be a little tight in space already.
I also got a bit of a problem with mana distributions since most of the losses I get seem to come from mana probs..
Well I'll update this to time spiral and fix some of your concerns. I agree it looks like you'd have some problem with mana I'll address that as well as a reliable method to kill your own hulk. Time spiral and Coldsnap have a few cards that can help this deck, card drawing mana fixing and creature tutoring. With this deck its important that you can cast the prides and/or forecast them. sometimes you can just win that way instead of the combo.
Xyver's Changes: -4 starved ruskala -4 drowned ruskala -4 sakura-tribe elder -3 ninja of the deep hours -4 Commune with nature
some of these cuts are to make it standard legal, the ruskala are decent sac outlets but there are a few that are better. This gives us plenty of room to fix the issues that you had.
+4 Perilous Research
Awesome card draw with very little investment, turns a dying creature into 2 cards, gives you a nice way to sac your protean hulk.
+3 Congregation at Dawn
Fantastic creature tutor, lets you get the hulk, or mana accel if needed.
+4 Llanowar Elves
gives you 8 one drop accel, to ensure second turn 3 mana. why well for..
+4 Wood Elves
will let you cast turn hulk as early as turn 3. turn 4 on most draws.
+4 Coiling Oracle
this guy is pretty good. if you need to get another 2cc critter with hulk this guy is pretty good. one of the most underated card advantage guys..
For sacrificing the protean hulk you have a few other options as well. Greater Good and Claws of Gix. Greater good you can stack the protean hulks effect get the creatures you want and then draw the cards. Claws of Gix can be played the same turn and possibly sacrifice the hulk the same turn.
oddly your deck was 57 cards, I added a Greater Good for you to try out. if it doesn't work out just drop it for another land.
It looks like your on a bit of a budget thats why I only added one of each dual. being able to get either with wood elves is very helpful. If you can't get the 2 lands, just add 2 terramophic exspanse to the deck.
That's my other suggestion. To everyone who reads this forum. Even if your a casual player the bane of most players existance is mana problems. The dual lands and pain lands help alleviate the color screw portion of that. At this point most of the lands from ravinica are within reason $9 to 14 dollars each.

Romans-Dovescare
hi there, i think you are making great work here. Please help me with this deck. Thanks we all try our best to make decks as fun and interesting as possible, and as always we'll try our best to help
whole idea is based upon survive beginning and the try to put dovescape. I like this card a lot
dovescape : my bird engine , work well with dredge nightmare void, so i can put 4 birds every turn on the table
Dimir house guard : i used him for tutoring. You know mostly wrath of god, but also faiths fetters, ivory mask, nekrataal, ....
Netherborn phalanx : tutor for dovescapem, and also grat after dovescape hit the table
Festival of guildpact : draw engine (stupid i know) and great producer of X+1 birds, because of casting cost X
Well Romans there is not such thing as a stupid card just a stupid implementation. I've used many a card considered bad to good effect, for instances i've been owning Akroma reanimator decks with Boros Fury Shield...muahahahah anyhow.. Well Time spiral is legal now so kamigawa is gone But lucky us Time spiral is an ok set.. no where near the awesomeness of a legendary set...
White/black has alot of things to help abuse/make dovescape one sided. The real problem with Dovescape is abusing it once it hits play, most of the decks that tried using Dovescape gave up to much in the set-up of it. This base you have has a few ways to break the symmetry of it. I'll offer a few more ideas.
Here's my changes- -2 Patron of the Kitsune -3 Nekrataal -2 Ivory Mask -3 Faith's Fetters
My Additions-
+3 Orzhov Pontiff this guy definately breaks the symmetry of dovescape by getting rid of their doves..
+3 Hissing Miasma Good against aggro decks in general and also breaks the symmetry in your favor.
+2 Celestial Crusader Makes your Birds bigger to block and can be a nice surprise win..
+1 Dovescape, +1 Netherborn Phalanx basically adds 2 dovescapes to the deck and a 3rd copy of a nice symmetry breaker
+3 Nantuko Husk doesn't break the symmetry as much as gives you something to use the doves for..
Sideboard Options: Well sideboarding is the key in doing well in tourny play. making sure you address different archetypes in the sideboard is key. White/black has a few options for sideboard. the decks i see you having problems with is real fast aggro and reanimation decks. Control decks should be a fairly even match, just need to get dovescape out. i'll address all three match-ups with sideboard cards.
There are other sideboard options but this one addresses a few holes in the deck there are a few other options if your looking to deal with untargetable creatures. Persecute hurts any control deck, Paladins help against any red or black based deck. As do the 2 wraths and the 4th mortify. Leyline of void and Tormod's crypt should be enough to hose most reanimator decks. Turn 3 persecute then playing tormods crypt is pretty good.

What exactly is this deck doing...?
- The deck keeps my hand (and, to a lower extent, my opponent's) hand full via Vision Skeins, Telling Time, Plagiarize and Psychic Possession.

3 Worship

This is because I suck at the internet. Get used to it.
4 Urza's Factory (<- The win)
DRAW SUITE
4 Think Twice
4 Careful Consideration
4 Whispers of the Muse
4 Rune Snag
4 Mana Leak
4 Cancel
4 Remove Soul
2 Spell Snare
4 Boomerang
3 Ghost Quarter (for any pesky opposing man-lands)
4 Flashfreeze
4 Wipe Away
4 Remand
As for what should be in/out of main/board, I really have no idea. Also note that the only rare (sorta) is Whispers. Didnt plan it that way, but its a nice side effect.
I also like Snapback as a possible option, but with boomerang and wipe away I don't know if it's really got a place.
Personally, I would stop requests until a member of the shop comes back, there hasnt been a request completed since the 18th of August.

I'd end up with something like this-
4 Ohran Viper
4 Shadowmage Inflitrator
3 Dimir Cutpurse
4 Hypntoic specter
4 Birds of paradise
4 Elves of deep shadow
23 creatures
Spells
2 Utopia Sprawl
3 Perilous Research
3 Moldervine Cloak
2 Wildsize
2 Fists of Ironwood
2 Strength in Numbers
1 Life from the Loam
15 spells
4 Breeding Pool
1 Frost Marsh
8 Snow-Covered Forest
2 Snow-covered swamp
2 Snow-covered Island
2 Mouth of Ronom
3 Scrying Sheets
2 Life from the Loam
3 Mystic Snake
1 Mouth of Ronom
3 Krosan Grip
3 Plaxmanta
3 Loaming Shaman
Or something close to that. if you wanted to abuse just the Viper well that would be more like this
4 Vesuvan Shapeshifter
4 Mystic Snake
4 birds of paradise
16 creatures
4 Utopia Sprawl
4 Search for Tomorrow
3 Moldervine Cloak
4 Remand
4 Rune Snag
3 Psionic Blast
22 spells
4 snow-covered island
3 scrying sheets
11 Snow-Covered Forest
It's easy enough to add the life from the loam engine in the sideboard if need be. if you have another vision that you'ld like help with let me know..otherwise
Your deck just got PIMPed TBstyle
edit: I'll edit the other 3 decks into this post later I just got called into work

I need a new avvie and sig banner...
So I guess you could say my "RL issues" are complete for now, I have a lot more time on my hands. I'm hoping to get back into this as soon as possible.
I might "pimp" one or two later today.
here's the current line:
2 Aquastrand Spider
4 Coiling Oracle
3 Cytoplast Manuplulator
2 Mormir Vig, Simic Visionary
3 Ninja of the Deep Hours
4 Plaxcaster Frogling
3 Simic Guildmage
4 Simic Intiate
2 Vigean Graftmage
2 Vigean Hydropon
4 Hinder
2 Peel from Reality
2 Novijan, Heart of Progress
2 Simic Growth Chamber
10 Island
8 Forest
Alrighty trying to keep it under 20 bucks and tweak it a touch. since your looking to do this on MtgO then Time spiral isn't available yet. I'd say mana accel would help. utopia Sprawl/birds of paradise/Llanowar elves. with the graft your using a creature accellerator would be preferable. birds are probably outside of your price range. I prefer consistancy over power, getting more 4 of the cards that make the deck tick is preferable. from your synopsis you want a medium aggro deck with control elementals..
The deck isn't really control with only 4 counters you could switch up the sideboard to be more counter oriented.
this is what I'd give a spin-
4 Coiling Oracle
3 Cytoplast Maniplulator
2 Mormir Vig, Simic Visionary
4 Ninja of the Deep Hours
3 Plaxcaster Frogling
3 Simic Guildmage
3 Simic Intiate
3 Trygon Predator
4 Hinder
2 Peel from Reality
2 Novijan, Heart of Progress
2 Simic Growth Chamber
9 Island
9 Forest
1 Simic Sky Swallower
4 Rune Snag
3 Mana Leak
3 Rewind
4 Remand

4 Lightning Helix
4 Ghostway
2 Spinneret Sliver
4 Coat of Arms
Help me out and thanx a lot!
here's the current line:
Well your looking for a sideboard for this here deck...
10 Island
4 Underground River
4 Watery Grave
3 Swamp
Spells
3 Spell Snare
2 Evacuation
4 Cruel Edict
4 Rune Snag
4 Jester's Scepter
4 Muddle the Mixture
4 Traumatize
4 Glimpse the Unthinkable
4 Mishra's Bauble
4 Coldsteel Heart
2 Mana Leak
Graveyard hate looks like something you may need, as well as something to deal with storm. with Timespiral you maindeck may change barring that I'll make a few suggestions. here's what i suggest and then i'll explain each.
3 Shadow of Doubt
3 Sudden Spoiling
3 Tormod's Crypt
3 Cancel
If you need more help tweaking the sideboard let me know.

ephraim q-Countertop

4 Stromgald Crusader
4 White Shield Crusader
2 Grave-Shell Scarab
3 Stinkweed Imp
3 Paladin En-Vec
1 Golgari Thug
1 Loaming Shaman
1 Ghost Council of Orzhova
2 Peace of Mind
4 Wrath of God
3 Darkblast
3 Life from the Loam
2 Umezawa's Jitte
3 Temple Garden
3 Overgrown Tomb
3 Godless Shrine
1 Llanowar Wastes
1 Caves of Koilos
1 Brushland
3 Mouth of Ronom
3 Snow covered swamp
2 snow covered plains
2 snow covered forest
Now I have a few ideas for this... my personal Favorite is adding the new spellshapers. specifically greenseeker and syphon-mage. of the two i think greenseeker is more effective. you also get Pentarch paladin, zhalfrin commander, skulking knight along with a few other knights in the set. if any of them are worth adding i'm not sure but there are options. as for draw options. there's phyrexian arena, confidant, ohran viper not much else in GBW.
I'll post a list after I check some things in Gatherer...
"One Day Reason and Sanity will rule the World....."

Thanks
You forgot me on the waiting list
here's the current line:
Fluke32-Protean Dinner
4 Birds of Paradise
4 Drowning Rusalka
4 Ornithopter
4 Pride of Clouds
4 Protean Hulk
4 Sakura Tribe Elder
4 Starved Rusalka
2 Weathered Wayfarer
3 Ninja of the Deep Hours
4 Commune with Nature
Lands
7 Forest
5 plains
7 Island
1 Miren the Moaning Well
I also wanted to put in more card drawing but the deck seem to be a little tight in space already.
I also got a bit of a problem with mana distributions since most of the losses I get seem to come from mana probs..
Xyver's Changes:
-4 starved ruskala
-4 drowned ruskala
-4 sakura-tribe elder
-3 ninja of the deep hours
-4 Commune with nature
some of these cuts are to make it standard legal, the ruskala are decent sac outlets but there are a few that are better.
So this is what I ended up with-
4 Birds of Paradise
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Wood Elves
4 Coiling Oracle
2 Weathered Wayfarer
4 Ornithopter
4 Pride of Clouds
4 Protean Hulk
30 creatures
4 Perilous Research
3 Congregation at Dawn
1 Greater Good
8 spells
Lands
8 Forest
5 plains
7 Island
1 Temple Garden
1 Breeding Pool
22 Land
oddly your deck was 57 cards, I added a Greater Good for you to try out. if it doesn't work out just drop it for another land.
At this point most of the lands from ravinica are within reason $9 to 14 dollars each.

hi there, i think you are making great work here. Please help me with this deck.
Thanks we all try our best to make decks as fun and interesting as possible, and as always we'll try our best to help
dovescape : my bird engine , work well with dredge nightmare void, so i can put 4 birds every turn on the table
Here's What Romans submitted:
10 plains
4 orzhov basilica
4 orzhov signet
2 dovescape
2 netherborn phalanx
4 dimir house guard
2 wrath of god
2 ivory mask
3 nekrataal
3 faiths fetters
2 patron of kitsune
3 festival of guildpact
3 condemn
3 mortify
Here's my changes-
-2 Patron of the Kitsune
-3 Nekrataal
-2 Ivory Mask
-3 Faith's Fetters
My Additions-
+3 Orzhov Pontiff
this guy definately breaks the symmetry of dovescape by getting rid of their doves..
+3 Hissing Miasma
Good against aggro decks in general and also breaks the symmetry in your favor.
+2 Celestial Crusader
Makes your Birds bigger to block and can be a nice surprise win..
+1 Dovescape, +1 Netherborn Phalanx
basically adds 2 dovescapes to the deck and a 3rd copy of a nice symmetry breaker
+3 Nantuko Husk
doesn't break the symmetry as much as gives you something to use the doves for..
Sideboard Options:
Well sideboarding is the key in doing well in tourny play. making sure you address different archetypes in the sideboard is key. White/black has a few options for sideboard. the decks i see you having problems with is real fast aggro and reanimation decks. Control decks should be a fairly even match, just need to get dovescape out. i'll address all three match-ups with sideboard cards.
here's my suggested List-
3 Orzhov Pontif
3 Nantuko Husk
3 Netherborn phalanx
4 dimir house guard
2 Celestial Crusader
15 total
Spells
3 Dovescape
3 Hissing Miasma
2 Wrath of god
3 Festival of guildpact
3 Condemn
3 Mortify
17 total
10 swamp
10 plains
4 orzhov basilica
4 orzhov signet
28 total
3 Persecute
3 Leyline of Void
3 Paladin En-Vec
2 Wrath of God
1 Mortify
3 Tormod's Crypt
There are other sideboard options but this one addresses a few holes in the deck there are a few other options if your looking to deal with untargetable creatures. Persecute hurts any control deck, Paladins help against any red or black based deck. As do the 2 wraths and the 4th mortify. Leyline of void and Tormod's crypt should be enough to hose most reanimator decks. Turn 3 persecute then playing tormods crypt is pretty good.
