Tom - I wasn't quoting so much you, but the group's consensus as a whole as many think red will see a huge jump in popularity, while I think after a week people will come back to their senses.
I think Cyan was the only one who said people will play "significantly more", while I don't know if it will be any good (since we don't know all of betrayers yet), but it might be popular (at least for a few weeks)
OMG!!! Sowing Salts (most likely reason), wait don't forget OMG!!! Blazing Shoal and red Genju!!!!!!!!!!, Yeah, I think that was a little over the top, the thing is red should at least become more popular than it is now.

First Meloku is a guy. If you have played 12 matches (which isnt nearly enough to be able to play the deck well) than something is wrong. I dont run either gifts or tfk and I see him more than that. On that same note if your playtesting a deck that isnt running cards because you can choose between tow of em there really isnt a point to even playtest. I dont know if your testing both or what, you never really clarify. I dont have the time but more importantly I feel discussing Keiga any further is like beating a dead horse.

Ok so you didnt actually quote me but I did feel like the comment was made because of something I had said.

Hats off to [BB18 & IBTG], you've found something that may be THE deck to beat post rotation.
RA is the cure-all in the Tooth and Nail matchup, as unless they have Vamp/Trike (Which they shouldn't even be running) out, they have no answers for it.
i guess its the same premise as ww running running roar of the Kha in the board, we can sit around here and say how important it is to counter land tutors and get early tempo but in the end theres nothing they can if you board in your third rude and samsh their balls with a bunch of 2/2 lands.

Yeah, Vamp/Trike is the only way to stop Rude as far as tooth is concerned, and even if they have it out, it is easily disrupted, we have no fewer than 3 cards (echoing truth, oxidize, viridian shaman?) to stop it, and we only need to stop it for one turn.
So, what do you guys think of GotF and GotC? Genju of the Falls looks nice, but I don't know if we can use it, almost no spots, + it takes 3 lands to attack with them....
Also, what of the Azami's Familiar guy? It's 4U and a 1/5, with a replacement ability that instead of drawing a card, you get to look at the top 3, choose 1 and put 2 on the bottom. He (she?) seems really good, but what to replace? And is 5 mana too much for it? I wish it was a 1/1 for 2U (yeah, I can dream....)
well I dont think I would play it if it was a 1/1 for 2U, too easily blown up. It is tough to say what will be good and what wont given that it is possible for new decks to emerge from the new set (thus far it looks like BoK isnt bringing much to the T2 scene). GotF does look semi promising but as you pointed out U/G is uber tight as far as numbers go.
I dont recall seeing Azami's Familiar but Ill have to take a look, seems a bit overcosted, and he better have flying. Going on just by what your saying you look at top 3 choose 1 and put in your hand? and other 2 on bottom or is it you put the 1 back on top and 2 on the bottom? if it is the first ability then maybe it will see play, if its the second then it will serve as scraper to get all my weed particles off my junk rare binder.
*Edit*
Just read the spoiler and this is the card in question;
Tomorrow, Azami's FamiliarLegendary Creature - SpiritIf you would draw a card, look at the top three cards of your library
instead. Put one of those cards into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.1/5
Definite arse. Overcosted, and the almost built in SDT is really all that great. With my luck Ill crack like 3 of these at the prerelease this weekend.
Reduce to Dreams is far better than March of the Machines... While they get to have lands, Reduce to Dreams does what MotM can't: Reset their ENTIRE board position.
The bad thing about reduce to dreams in that most likely the affinity player gets back on his feet in 2 or fewer turns, whereas if you play march, and steal a vault ninja or two then well, lets just say it takes the ability for them to "ping" you with lands.
But RtD does just about reset their board (except for non-artifacts).

RtD literally makes them start all over again, giving you dominance in board position adn allowing you to fortify yourself against their horde of artifacts.
Yes, RtD is better against affinity than MoM, reseting their board has no other equal. Plus, if you follow it up with a shackles, shaman, or Oxidize then well, the game is very much under wrap, plus it gives you a 1-2 turn "free" zone to try and win.
The only downside to RtD is they can recover quickly if RtD is the only hate you happen to have in hand, but that can easily played around if played correctly.

Thats the thing, if they hold back you win anyways. And a turn 3 RtD is very good, I was talking about like say, turn 5 cast without backup. But even then its good because no matter what, they start over, giving you advantage in every way. There really isn't any drawback to this card no matter when you play it, that's the beauty :).

RtD does not get around the DoTV. If you are within lethal damage, they will just sac everything and you die. I'm not sold on RtD as an Affinity hoser. So you bounce all artifacts. They lose the Glimmervoid and then next turn they drop almost everything back in play. While March keeps the Artifact Lands off the board.
Yeah, thats the one inherent problem, but whats a 0/2 and 2/2's compared to what you have, you will be so far ahead in mana and creatures out that you can just play (replay) Shackles and take what they have, or just blow it away with shaman or oxidize.
But yeah, thats the one problem....

1. Affinity doesn't run Ornithopters... At least, not to my knowledge
2. This card is an early game card... by turn 3, they cannot sac their lands unless it WILL kill you, otherwise they'll have no lands to replay
affinity at least the affinity I see and coincidentally play runs ornithopter, must be different all over the place.
On the topic of adding new cards to list from BoK, I think I might have something;
Kira, Great Glass-SpinnerLegendary Creature- Spirit
Flying
Creatures you control have "Whenever this creature becomes the target of a spell or ability for the first time in a turn, counter that spell or ability."
2/2Illus.: Kev Walker#40/165
Regardless of whether it is good or not red will be popular, this guy is an absolute house against red and fits nicely into the 3 slot because we are dropping viridian shaman. 2/2 Flyer for 1UU is good in itself the fact that this guy makes our rudes less effected by echoing decay and saves Meloku from an intial rend flesh and makes shrap blast detremental to play.

Seriously, though, drop RtD right before their discard phase, and they will cry. This card gets around disciple if they don't have ravager. I think a big problem with discussing affinity is that you assume that they have disciple and ravager at all times. They can't really just drop all of their guys next turn if they have to discard all but 7 of their cards.

It went out of style a while ago, but seems that re-adding them to the deck has been all the rage lately... Not quite sure why they left, OR for that matter, why they're coming back. But then again, I really don't care either so :/.
Meh, I don't think RtD is particularly effective. But then again, locally at least, affinity players are using 4 Hoverguards, and the occasional bold soul will even maindeck Moriok Rigger, just to have a sizeable non-oxidizeable threat.
I was told today that this kid on my team called 911 twice this morning and hung up both times. They called back and his dad answered. The reason the kid called 911? He got an erection and didn't know what to do. I wish I was making this up.
The problem with Kira lies in Echoing Truth, which we can no longer use to bounce witnesses :(. Otherwise it could be SB material, but then it doesn't get around Hideous Laughter.
EDIT: Well, forget Reduce to Dreams it's a 3:symu::symu: sorcery.....

Keiga is easily played around, so you pretty much get a 5/5 for 6 a lot of the time...............
