Both of them will destroy your flying creatrues, because they both have same ability.
Arashi's Channel ability is the same as the spider........ that is correct, but I am referring to hard casting the Arashi and using his activated ability.

@psychosickmondo: Where are the witnesses and the Yavi Coasts? Muse seems like a tryable card, although I doubt 4 would be necessary. Also, I would drop either the Magpies or the Serum Visions. You definitely don't need both. I would also finagle some Artifact hate in somewhere in the form of Naturalize or Shamans. Trolls are also a key element, IMO. Possibly a Kodama/North Tree for some heavy beats and Shackles (although they might suck with the Coasts in the deck.) As for the sideboard, drop the swamp (since you have no black cards), drop the Threads of Disloyalty and 1 EE (unless your meta is highly aggro) and find more relevant things such as Jitte hate, and misc. metagame choices.
Well about what u said:
- I could not find room for Witnesses. In fact I made the decklist, tested it. Reviewed the lsit and the it dawned on me. Where are the Witnesses. But I don't know what to take out.
- Yavi Coasts are a little out of my reach as of right now so I didn't include them in the decklist cause i won't be using them yet.
- I have 4 Muses in there to insure that I get atleast one out. I tried three but didn't like it as much.
- I would be willing to drop Serum Visions, but I love Magpies too much
- Artifact hate wouldn't be a bad idea but I would rather have that in the SB.
- I figured i'd use Threads to have some creature control against some decks such as Black hand, WW, Mono Red, MGA/MGB, etc.
- Engineered Explosives was just something I threw in there because I like them.
- The lonely swamp in the SB was to give me the option of 3 counters for E.E.
- Shackles sucks when u have Seedborn Muse on the field.
- Trolls and North Tree would be good but I am not investing in Trolls but I will look into the Kodama for the deck.
What I am thinking:
SB: I am currently in a transition and am moving to a new store for FNMs so I am not sur eof the metagame yet. but this is what I will go for.
3 Arashi
4 Naturalize
1 Plains (to pay for COP: Red and counters for E.E.)
3 COP: Red (against red decks, they can kill Muse easily)
4 Engineered Explosives (don't think four is necessary but it is how it worked out)
MD:
- 4 Serum Visions
-1 Keiga
+ 3 Eternal Witness
+2 Staff of Domination (I hear it does good in the deck and I want to try it)
IDK exactly what that does to my mana curve and overall consistancy (i.e. the loss of draw power in the Serum Visions)....... but I will playtest it.
I was kindof leaning towards, umm, well, replacing the entire deck actually :(. Much as I don't like admitting it, I don't think UG will be able to function up to competitive par without Plow Under... That said, I'd probably try using Jens and Cranial myself. Cranial replacing bribery as the general purpose TAN hoser, while Jens (much as I used to dislike the card in UG) will help maintain the mana edge that plow was so critical in providing...
I was told today that this kid on my team called 911 twice this morning and hung up both times. They called back and his dad answered. The reason the kid called 911? He got an erection and didn't know what to do. I wish I was making this up.
I don't think the deck needs to be entirely replaced, I just think it's control elements need to be revisited. Before, Plow was an excellent way to achieve this... but without it, another method needs to be found.
Quite honestly, a U/G deck with a lot of counters, a couple of shackles, green accel and some trolls could go a long way. It's like playing MUC, except it packs a bit more punch into it. The main problem would be finding a good way to draw cards.
Another approach could be a more aggro-control oriented build... Heck, an odd idea might be to play Nature's Will, lol, since you can play your stuff, smack and untap to be able to counter your opponent's stuff.
Not having Plow makes it virtually impossible to win against T&N. Your only real option is to present a much more aggressive front, at which point, you might as well just play Mono-Green anyway.
With the exit of Plow Under AND Bribery, I don't understand why anyone plays anything other than T&N. Except maybe Blue Tooth, that deck looks might interesting. Tooth has already been ridiculously dominant since Affinity's bannings, and now two of the best cards against it are no longer an option? Might as well just play it.

I have to agree with you here. U/G, MGA, MGB, and several other decks bit the dust due to the loss of Plow Under, as they just became seriously outgunned by MUtron and T&N. Even I ended up switching to a new deck (in my case, nothing, with Wildfire in development. I had no urge to build a deck (in both cases, MUtron and T&N) that loses nearly the entire deck structure in a month and a half. Plus classes/work have hindered me from doing a lot of stuff, so building something that I wouldn't be able to play more than twice just doesn't appeal to me)...
Honestly, if anyone still has the urge to play U/G, I'd say your best bet is to replace the Plows with Jester's Caps. This is still not a very good option overall, but it does at least give you some options to work with.
