Alright, well, after recent news I reworked this deck using what cards I had around, so tell me what you think, I know IU'll be making alot of changes to it, as it is no where near perfect yet, but I think this deck could be for real.
Before you start critisizing my deck, let me say a few things
Burden of Greed was initially there to do anything against KCI. That is obviously no longer a problem, so that card will be removed
I like Quash in the sideboard against T&N, and any other coimbo deck. It might be worth maindecking
Welding Jar needs to be played, due to the fact of the lack of cheeap artifacts. The lands arn't there to help us anymore, so we'll have to do it for ourselves
Isochron Scepter and Mana Leak could work well in this deck, so I'd consider doing that as well.
The mana base can be lowered, as it was higher for when I had black in the deck (for obvious reasons).
4 AEther VIals probably needs to happen, I just didn't know what to take out yet.
Aether Vial does nothing in this. The only thing you can Vial until you have 4+ counters is Ornithopter which doesn't seem too great of a use and you don't have any creatures with equal cc so there is no specific setting you want it at.
Well, then I'll just test Meloku in the deck for the fun of it.
This is the info I'm getting for lands and having artifacts
Mulligan information:
Number of lands in start hands:
0 Land(s): 15 times (1.5%)
1 Land(s): 101 times (10.1%)
2 Land(s): 247 times (24.7%)
3 Land(s): 299 times (29.9%)
4 Land(s): 219 times (21.9%)
5 Land(s): 99 times (9.9%)
6 Land(s): 16 times (1.6%)
7 Land(s): 4 times (0.4%)
Number of start hands w/o 1-st drops: 175 (17.5%)
Number of start hands w/o 1-st and 2-nd drops: 84 (8.4%)
I substituted 'Thopter and Welding Jar so the program would register them as 1 drops, and those are my statistics.
Edited deck list a bit, just a litle though
EDIT (to avoid double post):Eh, true, Vial could go. Vial was mainly in the deck because it was a 1 costing artifact that could bring more artifacts into the game
dud drop the broddstars and play somber hovergueards or qumulox depending on how fast they can come out. and chrome mox, hello. Im going to throw together something and post again with my decklist, i just woon a type 2 tournament with blue affinity (only 8 arty lands, maybe it will survive)
edit- heres my decklist, needs some work.
4x welding jar
4x Paradise mantle
4x ornithopter
3x chrome mox
Yeah -4 Broodstar and +4 Somber Hoverguard seems like a good idea. Maybe throw in a single Broodstar and 3 Welding Jar instead of the 4 Vial, since they're not really doing anything.
PS - Mana Leak > Condescend in a mana-intensive deck like this. Hinder's even a better choice, especially in a B/G environment where a second Kokusho = game. I'd still play Thoughtcast if I were you, 4cc's decent, 3cc's good, 2cc's better than any other draw card, and the optimal 1cc is insane.
Alright, I'll work on reworking the decklist. However, let me say somethings.
Hoverguard can be shot down, where as it is tougher with Broodstar.
I missed Chrome Mox completely , it should definatly be in, as it is the closest thing to an artifact land.
My question is, if you are saying the mana will be there for Assert Authority to be played, then why not Broodstar. Last time I checked being able to get a giant for 3 more than it costs to counterspell is pretty good.
I like Quash personally the best as a counterspell int his deck, followed by Assert Authority. After that, it depends on personal preference.
Quash is vital against shutting down Tooth & Nail, Rude Awakening, heck even March of the Machines.
ANYWAY
Qumulox is a little more consistant than broodstar IMO... Also, I don't think Meloku means GoodGame in this deck like it does in other blue builds. Might I suggest Silent Arbitor... seems kinda good.
Aether Spellbomb? Want to make your Broodstar bigger, or enforcers easier to play? Perhaps Nuisance Engine? Maybe Proteus Staff could show some interesting possibilities. Maybe an even faster Broodstar.
This might work if, say, every other deck in the metagame dies for some inexplicable reason. Sorry to be a pessimist, but without the Artifact Lands, any sort of Affinity isn't really possible. If you do play this, though, you really have to use Spire Golems, since they treat Islands like Enforcers treat Seats and they can slow your opponent down a bit. Also, I wouldn't use Memphatic Ooze, since it's really too expensive for its effect and waiting 5 turns for your Aether vial to power up is too long. I agree on silent Arbiter, and I'd recommend strongly that you cut down to 3 or 2 Enforcers, since they will be nigh-impossible to cast for less than 4. Meloku doesn't really contribute to the theme. You also need Thirst for Knowledge, which will be easily as good as TC here.
Eh, my bad about March.
Mantle needs to be in the deck, Enforcers do need to be cut. I hadn't thought of Arbiter, but he works well int his deck. Also, I might throw in a Forbiddon Orchard/Glimmervoid/City of Brass so I can put Shrapnel Blast and use Platings ability
Proteus Staff seems good.

Please post comments on this deck idea.
Broodstar is a terrible finisher without the huge bonus of the artifact lands, so don't you think Meloku would suit the deck better?
Not to mention, most of the time, Frogmites will cost or and your Enforcers will be ridiculous.
