Many are saying you can play Fetches, Painlands and Mana Confluence all at the same time. To me that's never going to work.
So how viable is 3 color aggro really?
I still think aggro decks will be good but they will not be able to just throw in every good card of every color. I think Rakdos, Gruul and Selesnya will be the best as you get to run 4 temples and 4 fetches. You can't just hope to use painlands for colorless when you're playing fast as everything has a colored requirement and you need to start playing multiple spells a turn very early.
Obviously these few creatures are just starting points but with a nice curve, a little removal and possibly some combat tricks I think these could be good decks.
I'm just not feeling the charms. They're powerful but 3 mana is such a downer, 2 mana charms are awesome and 1 more mana just feels so clunky. There is only a few really good tricolor creatures like Anafenza, Knuckleblade and Mantis Rider and I'm not sure these are worth playing the 3rd color and making your mana really bad or really painful.
I'm not sure we have the insane aggro builds we had in Innistrad-Ravinca (Naya Blitz), it is doable. You just need to find the build that wins around turn four, and can fight the hate. It's a tall order, but there might be something hidden in the format.
I've been playing Selesnya vs Rakdos and the Rakdos deck seems to have the edge even though many creatures can't block.
When multiple Fleecemane Lion and Brimaz come down for the GW deck things get hairy but there is always the possibility of forcing through damage with a bestowed Herald of Torment or Lightning Strike.
It seems like there's enough cards to make these decks viable without needing to splash a 3rd color.
Right now I think that 3 color strategies are going to be more midrange going into things like Courser of Kruphix which slows you down.
It's all about finding those win conditions. You can't just hope to get the job done with a few ground creatures. This format is all about one for one removal. It's generating the advantage that is tricky.

I do think that it might be viable with a bit of life gain through things like Siege Rhino and Butcher of the Horde.
