Win Condition:
Tax and control while dropping Herald or Ethereal Armor bombs when able.
History
Out of 6 Standards, deck has gone 5-0 once, 4-1 four times, and 2-2 once. I've played mostly everything but it's weakeast match-ups are MUD Aggro, MRD Aggro, removal-heavy Jund, U/W/x if I can't block Revelation Spam, or quick things with removal.
G/R Monsters, Simic, Bant, Naya, and anything mid-range or bestow-y seems to fold most of the time.
Cards I may Remove:
Obzedat: Proven useful against U/W/x Control, American Control, R/G Monsters, slower more drawn-out decks, and is fun to use with the Whip if I can get him out; he's a prime instant removal target. He's the first to go out against fast decks and I'm thinking about moving him to the SB full-time, removing him entirely and swapping out for a BBoV.
Athreos: A target for their exile effects, occasional swinger and pretty nice when I whip something in for the devotion. Despite drawing him most games, he's usually last to come out and first to be sided against faster decks; I've only ever had used his effect a couple of times, once against someone with a Scooze to no real effect. I WANT him to work but seems very disappointing and usually gets sided. I think I'd rather have two Master of the Feasts MB with a BBoV in the side.
Side Deck: Spoiled for long.
Erebos: for Control or slower match-ups with Life-Gain. Usually swap it in for Obzedat, Athreos, or Nyx-Fleece.
Fate Unraveler: See Erebos.
Thoughtseize: See Erebos.
Master of the Feast: For when Obzedat or Athreos seem lack-lust, or I need to fill some more creature spots. I'd really like them to be MB, but don't know what to swap out.
Obzedat: Situational. If I can fit it in I'll do so, assuming Fate Unraveler or Erebos isn't needed.
Drown in Sorrow: Mostly for Red or White Aggro, occasionally Blue if they're not playing Hall of Triumph. Typically take out a Banishing Light or a Brain Maggot.
Doom Blade: Aggro.
Hero's Downfall: Aggro or when Banishing Light doesn't cut it.
Decide: Enchantment decks or U/W.
Rootborn Defenses: Supreme Verdict Counter, typically swap in for Athreos; I don't think U/W players care about their life except in critical stages.
Crypt Incursion: There's two Golgari decks ran at my LGS and quite a few Scoozes in various builds, including Simic. Scrawed over a player who dumped with Lotleth Troll to bestow a Nighthowler, screwed Nyxweaver in Constellation, ect. Would kind of like two but need ot make room.
