So I don't normally play decks with black in them, or controlish decks for that matter. But I came up with this on the premise that Brain Maggot is actually an excellent hand disruption card, and would do well with other cards of the same ilk.
I'm hoping that some of you who play things like mono black can give me some advice about this, ways to make it more resilient to problematic deck types, ways I can tighten the concept, that sort of thing. If you don't, I'll assume this is just a bad deck and move on.

It’s like the universe screams in your face, “Do you know what I am? How grand I am? How old I am? Can you even comprehend what I am? What are you, compared to me?” And when you know enough science, you can just smile up at the universe and reply, “Dude, I am you.”
First is Master of Feasts. If your deck is built around Hand Disruption this card shoots you in the foot very badly as it lets them draw into replacements for the things you get rid of. Nothing you have offsets this in any way. Mono Black Aggro can afford MotF because they kill before the added cards become an issue, but you're running a slow deck and the longer the game runs the worse MotF becomes for you.
The second one is Brain Maggot itself. Brain Maggot is a hard to evaluate card because its effectiveness depends on your ability to capitalize on pulling cards out of their hand. With the amount of control decks in standard currently and the number of redundant removal spells capable of killing 1/1s out there, it's difficult to turn Maggot into something better than 1B:Opponent wastes a removal spell when they want their card back.
In a more limited environment(say, perhaps post-rotation) removal might not be as plentiful, but in the current format it's a dime a dozen, so Brain Maggot has a hard time having any lasting impact.
The other, more general problem with the deck is what is your win condition? Deck is too slow to be aggro and aside from Master of the Feast has no beatsticks you can ride to victory in the late game. It needs some way to actually kill its opponent, which it presently lacks.
4x Lifebane zombies seems a bit heavy for a maindeck card. I might keep some number of them in the sideboard. Master of Feasts is the exact opposite of what you want here. I think your concept is to negate the card advantage he gives other players with Spirit of the Labyrinth, but he gives the extra card on your upkeep, not your opponents. If you are trying to destroy a hand, playing a card that lets them draw is wrong. I would go with something like Desecration demon of Fate Unraveler. It will be harder for them to pin down the desecration demon, and the fate unraveler will slowly kill them and punish them for drawing cards.

Current Decks
Modern
No idea because my favorite decks keep getting banned or having the rules changed against them
Which I was sort of aware of, the deck lacks offensive punch. I was hoping to keep the mana curve at 3, but Desecration Demon is arguably the best beater we have in these colors. Also, late game, my opponent can just hold onto land cards and trump any kind of Shrieking Affliction strategy, as I have no real continuous discard engine.
So I think I'm gonna take a mulligan on this concept. If anyone else has some insights on this still or wants to present their version of this, they're welcome to. It's possible I've stumbled across something, and just lack the strategic acumen to make it work.

So, by the sound of things, I should:
-4 Master of the Feast
-1-4 Lifebane Zombie
+5-8 Win Conditions of some sort.
