Thoughts? I'm not too impressed with Ajani's Sunstriker but I can't really think of a better 2 drop at this point. And he at least gives 2 devotion.
Sadly Sunstriker is rotating once Theros comes out, so it's not much of an actual option. Maybe look into other one drops? Dyrad Militant, Judge's Familiar are really good white weenie one drops. There's also that new 1 drop heroic 1/2, and the 2 drop 1/1 with heroic, which at the moment don't seem like the best things in the world without a way to abuse Heroic, but if you put a few spells that target like the new Pro instant and maybe splash for a charm or something, they can turn a team of weenies into champions.

Derp... well that takes of that issue haha. My first idea was to try a heroic theme but I really couldn't find any spells that would make it worth it. I think Phalanx Leader could have some potential, 2 devotion and pumps the whole team but again we'll have to see if they print some better stuff to support it. Right now I guess Judge's Familiar is the best choice? Thanks for the input

I just tested Servitude a little bit and have been impressed. I wonder about running 4 spears though, that seems a little risky due to legend rule, and the fact that they almost never get destroyed, compared to legendary creatures which die in combat etc.
I took out the 4 Sunstrikers and added one more Ajani and 3 Immortal Servitude in its place and I've been pleased so far. I think 8 2 drops might be enough.

Why are people still using Dryad Militant? Its essentially just a 2/1 for 1 at this point in the format. There are better options.
In a deck with 0 ways to trigger heroic, that wants 12 one drops what would be the better one drop?
@FZA: My list is more of a blitz deck. I want to hit spear almost every game but I don't want to get to turn 5 or 6 so I don't usualy draw 2 or mind it too much if I do. Also I really enjoy having 12 one drops as turn 1, 2 power creature, turn 2, 2 2 power creatures is very hard for most decks to cope with.
Path of Bravery is a terrible anthem effect. You want anthems the most in a race, which is the very match where you are not going to be at 20 or above for long.

I imagine because you would need 8 one drops for this kind of deck to work. If you assume the new pro multi colored is 4 of those, then you are left with either Judge's Familiar or Boros Elite if you don't go with the Dryad. Is Dryad all that much worse than Rakdos Cakler in an aggressive deck? I'm sure the extra one toughness would come up at some point, but the ability to block might also.
Brave the Elements is a maindeckable card. I can't see why you wouldn't want to include it in the 60, it does everything! Protects against burn (targeted or otherwise) Allows you to block with impunity (for the most part) and most importantly, can allow an alpha strike..........there really is no reason to not have 4 of this maindeck lol. I like the Immortal Servitude plan. If you're running 8 - 10 one drops a servitude for 4 mana after a board wipe can be pretty backbreaking. I think 4 spears are bad tho, I'd use 2-3 max.
I'd probably use Precinct Captain and Cavalry Pegasus as the 2 drops. The pegasus isn't the best card but it grants everyone evasion except for the captain tokens and reckoner (who doesn't really need evasion anyway). Banisher Priest should get the spot over field medic. He is doubles as removal and with the inclusion of the pegasus and brave the elements, the combat indestructibility clause on the medic seems redundant.
Don't knock Path of Bravery. As an anthem effect it is sub-par yes. But u can't have 2 spears in play and the lifegain from path can be very relevant.
Path of Bravery is a terrible anthem effect. You want anthems the most in a race, which is the very match where you are not going to be at 20 or above for long.
You're dismissing how relevant the lifegain it gives in a white weenie deck. In an aggro race very little blocking is going on, most of your creatures have the relevant first strike.
Either way, i can tell you this much in the game of race who kills who quicker, life gain reigns king. Gaining 3-4 life every turn by just turning things sideways matters. In 3 turns thats 9-12 extra points of damage that has to be caught up. 9/10 times it puts other aggro decks on the defensive, white just lets white weenie build board presence, and with things like a resolved PoB, and frontline medic? I'd race with that all day long.
Path of Bravery is too underwhelming and too dependent on your opponent's lack of interaction. Spear of Heliod doesn't require you to already be ahead.
the deck generally uses it's creatures in succession for it's evasion. using stuff like azorius arrester and banisher priest to get blockers out of the way and deal with troublesome creatures in order to attack through. while landing stuff like imposing sovereign to get a tempo advantage against larger drops in the format.
the deck generally leans on it's creatures for removal and it's spells for evasion, using brave the elements and gods willing to attack through big creatures and dodge spot removal. Ajani is more of an attrition card, but can easily come down to give something dbl strike and flying for the win.
it's also worth looking towards a red splash and playing bestow creatures, warleader's helix, and anax and cymede along with stuff like madcap skills and ordeal of purphoros. you also have access to boros reckoner and burning earth.
i was going to try something like this. Its white weenies that can abuse heroic with auras.
4 Dryad Militant
4 Favored Hoplite
4 Precinct Captain
4 Phalanx Leader
4 Frontline Medic
4 Fiendslayer Paladin
4 Pacifism
4 Gift of Orzhova
4 Ethereal Armor
4 Mutavault
1 Spear of Heliod
19 plains
SB:
1 spear of Heliod
2 Ajani caller of the Pride
2 Heliod god of the sun
4 Brave the elements
2 Path of bravery
4 Soldier of the Pantheon
If a new enchantment that is better than gift of orzhova is spoiled and it is monocolored then I would replace the militants with the new Soldier of the Pantheon. its a rough list but I like it. I like Pacifism since their will not be a restoration angel to save creatures anymore.
well, path does stack so they're good if u draw multiples whereas the spear isn't. And the lifegain is good for racing. I'm also not sure ur ever gonna have the 3 mana open to use the spear's ability. I do like the non-conditional pump of the spear tho.............maybe a 2/2 split of both?
Path of Bravery is only good when you have more than 20 life and are on the offensive. Seems like the definition of a win-more card to me.
Path of Bravery is SO unlikely to grant you something that the Spear does free of charge. In addition to that, instant speed burn to the face can cause a blowout.
Going about it wrong IMO. You're not utilizing, the best creatures for the job or even the ones that let you finish out the game.
One Drops
Dryad Militant 2/1 for One Mana body. Releveant effect with the new UR Griffin that just got spoiled.
Boros Elite A solid card if it attacks in multiples, against heavy removal decks however this guy is sad.
Solider of the Pantheon. Dodges several removal spells, and bodies that come down early game.
Judge's Familar. This card could be playable IMO if supreme verdict could be countered.
Two Drops
Imposing Sovereign This guy does what we want all day long. Tap down guys that are coming to block us.
Azorius Arrester Clears a path for our other dudes to attack in, and shuts down problem creatures, at least for a turn.
Prescient Captain Guy makes more guys when he connects. Against slow opponents this guy is house.
Calvary Pegasus Despite losing Champion of the Parish and us leaving the Innistard block, we still have plenty of humans lying around. Being able to fly over our opponents is a good thing.
Three Drops
Frontline Medic I can't stress how good this card is. Stops Sphinx's Revelation and Rakados Return, allows you to swing into an unfavorable board, this guy is probably one of my favorite white creatures ever printed.
Fiendslayer Paladin Another great card, dodges a large chunck of removal, and beats in well. However in comparison to the other two who can control the board state, it makes me feel that Fiendslayer Paladin is a sideboard card in a deck that cannot power him up with spells like Rancor and Unflinching Courage.
Boros Reckoner Blocks like a champion for us, can attack in when needed, and makes red mages think twice before killing him.
Four Drops
Heliod, God of the Sun. I can't stress how awesome this card is. Gives our dudes vigilance, so they can attack and than swing back on defense. Is a Giant indestructible dude, AND creates more dudes to give us pressure. All of my yes.
Other cards you should be playing, or at least consider playing...
Spear of Heliod The only good Anthem effect we have currently. Not to mention it kills guys when we're behind.
Brave the Elements This should be a no-brainer. Protecting all of our creatures allows us to dodge removal, and alpha strike against our opponents.
Ajani, Caller of the Pride Let's us buff up our guys, or push in the last bit of damage by jumping and double strike. Ajani flat out steals games away from people.
Gideon, Champion of Justice Gideon hasn't gotten the love he deserves. Against slow decks, Gideon comes out the door, and bashes for 5 like a boss.
If Theros were to be standard legal tomorrow this is probably what I would play for White Weenie.
((Not commenting on your commentary because it's all true but I will do this :thumbsup::thumbsup: for it! ))
I don't like the 6 protection effects main. I think it slows the deck down too much where I believe WW is best suited to stealing game ones with very aggressive draws. Maybe -2 Gods Willing and -1 Brave the Elements in favor of filling out your 2 drops more, or adding in a couple of Boros Elite but testing would determine which is more appropriate.

The protection effects are generally going to be more relevant due to the fact they bypass most removal (Sans wrath effects), as well as grant you the advantage to alpha strike.
At most I would remove maybe a Gods Willing, but Brave The Elements should be played as a 4 of in every white aggro based strategy.
White weenie looks like it may end up being the aggro deck of choice now that the card going by ~Anger of the Gods has been spoiled. 1 white to turn it into a 1 sided earthquake seems pretty good.
