I'm going to FNM this Friday and i haven't actually played standard there since before dark ascension came out so i basically have no idea what's going on with my meta.
Vexing devils are not amazing but they do their job are are definitely playable. And i like having them in the deck for around t3 to play him before they have lost too much life so they take 4 and play a haste duderguy to swing in. It helps finish games. Sure it gives the other players a choice but either way it's not bad for you. If they can remove it, then it makes them waste a removal spell, and if they take 4 then it's 4 less life i have to get in for.
Are Pyreheart wolfs too slow? Sure they get creatures in by turn 4, but it is worth running a full playset of them? They only get in for 1 damage, but they do survive removal and can give you a free chump which is nice.
Is Lightning Mauler a good 2 drop or is it just not worth it, because i feel like it's definitely works with pyrehearts well.
Should i cut Hellion if i've tried it out a bunch and never actually used it... because i have Stonewright as a mana sink.
The lists i've seen run 2 hellions. Could it be that you don't use it because the game is already near close out by the tine you get it? Idk. Its suppose to be there as a mid to late game threat that the opp has to play around. Looks good there. They sweep and you beat in for 4 damage. If they tap out then you get in for 4. Pretty good card.
I'm with you on the wolf. Looks too slow to me also, but I have seen good lists packing 2 to 4 of them. I think they are a try them card. Can work wonders. But not always.
Mauler is very good. He gives the big guys haste. Which they need. Is hard for your opp to play around.
I see you have thundermaw hellkites and hellrider so you might want to up your lands. The top of my curve is Hellrider and I'm currently runnig 23 lands (2 are crucible). Personally I really like Vexing Devils but I hold off til I have 4 mana so that I can use Brimstone Volley for a possible 9 damage before combat.

yea i've done that. i never use vexing devils in the first few turns

The only "Big guys" i have on this list have haste already. So i see no real use for them
IMO crucible is realty bad. U can only start on it on turn 3 and it takes 3 turns to put a 4/4 out. I tried to play them since I just bought 4.
I noticed my deck got a lot slower after adding the aristocrats and hellriders. I used to be able to do turn 4 kills before adding those cards. I may just have to look at the deck and balance again
I would look at this post by Zemanjski. Its his latest Sligh build (what you are running), along with some comments.
If you go to the R/x Aggro Competitive Forums, you will see a few different threads on deck lists, with some good discussion on them. I would highly recommend reading through the subforum.
You will be using Brimstone Volley for the 3 Damage to player/creature more than you would be using it for morbid, a good thing I picked up on from the R/x Primer is that you have to run 4 Searing Spears before considering running any copies of Brimstone Volley because you'll be paying 1 extra mana even when you aren't using the morbid effect just for the possibility of getting to use it.
Vexing Devil is cool but everyone will take the 4 burn unless they can remove him, and most decks you will face have healers.
Morbid Brimstone Volley + Vexing Devil sounds pretty ****ing awesome though, lol that would be a neat way to win the game how many times have you pulled it off?
I agree with these folks, Lightning Mauler is too good to not be in this deck. Stonewright is OK, but with a top end of Hellrider and Thundermaw Hellkite, I think he should be in the sideboard (because there aren't too many times you'll have extra mana in game 1). Lightning Mauler increases your aggression and lets you bounce back from a boardwipe by casting Mauler + Chainwalker and getting in for 5 immediately.
Stonewright is better when you want to slow-roll creatures in your hand to avoid sweepers, or when you need a big mana sink. Between your top-end and crucible, I can't see stonewright getting too big until g2.

Ok, i've been playtesting RDW a lot lately and i have a couple of things to say:
Crucible is a side-strategy. You use your non-used mana to put the 2 counters on it then you activate it has either a finisher or to get back on your feet after a board wipe. Works like a charm versus control, and i really like it.
Wolf is too slow to run 4 of them, i'd run 3, it's great to put 1 on the board on turn 3 then attack with hellrider for deadly on turn 4.
Lightning Mauler is a must have. It's just too good, you can even play the mauler on turn 2 then bond it on turn 3 with the wolf for an unblockable surprise attack. Though in most circunstances it's better to just bond the mauler with whatever you already have on the board and attack.
Hellriders is the best card in the deck and the card that enables it. It's common for me to play hellrider on turn 4 and swing for over 10 damage. Without hellrider this deck would be called red deck loses.
I'd take the 3 vexing devils and add 2 searing spears + 1 Hellion Crucible. Searing spears are very important since they can pretty much kill all the possible blockers in the format, and it's better to have a 3/3 than a 5/3.
I feel that this is just so inconsistant. 33 creatures might be too many. I would drop your creature count to 26, and put some more instant speed spells.

I think i messed up because i have more than 60 cards 0.o 1 sec
okay i had 1 extra stonewright.
Now it's fixed with 32 creatures.
yea 32 seems like a ton. But the reason im running less burn is because i would occasionally draw all burn spell hands.. and thats not very reliable the most i would go up to is 3 of each.
I'm going to cut vexing devils and add 1 more of each burn. What do you think i should swap with lightning mauler?

Perhaps my post got lost in the Aether.
Stonewright is better coming out of the sideboard against control, so you don't have to commit to the board in the early game. Stonewright gives you solid protection against sweepers, but isn't very good against creature decks (especially when you want to use your mana to empty your hand, not pump up your guys for a turn).
Play Lightning Mauler in the mainboard, and Stonewright in the side. You can take out the Crucible and the burn from the sideboard, if you're not playing them main there isn't a reason to board into them. As an aside, Mark of Mutiny is better than Traitorous Blood most of the time.

Here's the build I've been using for a few weeks, designed mostly for a heavy midrange and control meta. 13-1 in matches, and 26-7 in games over 3 weeks fighting Jund, American midrange, Bant control, GW (lifegain and aggro), UW flash, and random thrag.dec
A few things: Vexing Devil = garbage.. you 0-1 yourself and gain no board position.. it will indirectly lose you games stonewright imo is a staple, he's good in every MU except the mirror. He forces damage through control without overcommiting, and allows your dudes to trade up in creature matches. lightning mauler- Im not a fan of this card for the same reason I dislike rakdos shred-freak. It gets stonewalled by too many things in the meta. Pyreheart Wolf- If you haven't tried it yet you really should. Casting on curve, you can still do 20 damage by t4 and if they durdled for 1 blocker by then you just win. Hellion Crucible- fantastic mana sink when you have nothing else to do with your mana. Against control I'll throw down 2 guys and just start pumping the crucible for post board wipes. Brimstone Volley- I cut it from my lists, because it was too often a 3 mana searing spear. Hound of Griselbrand- Keep this in mind for your sb. He's a house against GW. Traitorous Blood- this should be the goto threaten effect, trample is very relevant. Really don't want to put a +1/+1 counter on anything if I'm also staring down any random chump blocker, because lingering souls is a thing too.
Well that's all I'm gonna say for now, but you should really check out the competitive R/x forums. Hope any of this helps

Vexing devil is a big guy. Chain walker is 3 power. That's pretty big to. And he can bind to a 1 drop to gain haste himself.

usually it helps once every match.
So what should i swap out for lightning mauler?

FL does not give card advantage, it is a atempt to cycle your hand to get cards that are better.

that'd work, then I'd probably drop a hellion crucible and a mountain if you only have 2 thundermaw for 2 flames of the firebrand
Sounds like a plan
