As the Grenadier thread has evolved enough so that the first five or so pages are irrelevant, and this is different enough, I think it warrants it's own thread.
12/23/11 in SB -3 timely reinforcements, +3 Mirran crusader
12/24/11 in MB -1 Razor Hipppgriff, -1 Fiend Hunter, +2 Archon of Justice
12/26/11 in SB: Mirran Crusaders out, Grand Abolishers in.
Now this, this is much more different than original Grenadier. You also can grind out your advantages against control, or seal the game against aggro, by using Razor Hippogriff and Buried Ruin. Using Hippogriff on a Wurmcoil is particular nasty, or if they manage to finally destroy your Batterskull, or that Sword.
The thing, though, is that we can use cards like Fiend Hunter because of our very flexible Divine Reckoning. These cards complement each other perfectly. Then, game 2, if you're playing control just side out your reckoning, or if it works (aggro, midrange, tempo) then maybe side a 3rd in. This also allows for Spellskite on the sideboard. Flashback is just icing on the cake.
I think this could work as an archetype, and has tested better than RW Grenadier. Have fun!
The second is guaranteed as a T1 deck that is really good, plus its' mana is better. I would choose #2. However, Eminem is correct, comes down to preference. Eminem was not correct, however, for tying Rihanna to the bed and setting the house on fire.
I really like the creativity here. Have you tested out Archon of Justice? It's really nuts in decks that work well with it, not sure if yours would support it well but it's worth trying.

Thanks, it actually seems like something that could really help, as a five-turn clock by itself that no one wants to kill, and we kill something like a planeswalker when it dies. I will definetely test it.

You need Pristine Talisman, I'm actually gonna play the RW version tomorrow and in testing found that talisman is amazing in every matchup. Against control it lets you out-mana them and against control it's very nice life gain.

Thanks to Argetlam from Hakai Studios for the awesome sig.
have you considered hero of bladehold or mirran crusader in the SB vs control?
I could see Mirran Crusader in against control, play it at like 6 mana then you play your Destiny or a Sword, slap it on to the Crusader, and win the game. Seems cool. I'll try it in my SB.

Just went 4-0 for sets against different control deck on MWS. On my last match, against UW control (2-0) the pilot and the deck I was playing against were great, had a little spiff about angelic destiny on a glint hawk idol, but I would have won anyways.
But anyways, he was actually a fine pilot, believe it or not. Anyways, Crusader is good. I ran my SB except with 3 crusader in place of 3 timely reinforcements. Was awesome. I really loved the buried ruins, and shrine of loyal legions was awesome.

Enchanting a glint hawk idol is okay if you wanna get in for 4 more damage, but it doesn't stay enchanted. It's stops being a creature and is no longer a legal Target for an aura. Similar thing with equipment, though the equipment would stay in play.

How hard do we have to work now a days for a little value in this game? ;p

I like the idea of Archon of Justice in this deck. It gives you a reliable way of killing their last creature after you play Divine Reckoning. I don't think Razor Hippogriff does enough for you; it should probably be the Archon.
I would also run some Grand Abolisher in the sideboard to give you a better control matchup. Especially good with all the enchant creature and swords that you are running.
How is your matchup against ramp? It doesn't seem like you are aggressive enough to win that matchup. But then again, maybe none of their stuff stays alive long enough to kill you.
Just back from a long testing session against wolf run decks. G1 It's hard to win, happened like 3 out of 10 times. This was mostly when I drew lots of Ghost Quarter. G2 you have gut shot, spellskite, and all that magical goodiness. We can still beat them fine, I think this deck does pretty well against them.
EDIT: I think for now it'll be 1 Hippogriff 2 archon, because the Hippogriff has just been soo useful in some situations.

I just typed out a big, long FNM report ON MY PHONE about going 4-0, then it logged my off and deleted my post. I was like, "NOOOOOOO!" but to no avail. I used OP's list.
Main points: Hard to pilot against MBI. Looooong games against control and UW, but those games are usually in you favor. Wolf Run is soo fun to play against post-board. RDW is practically a bye.
Overall, I love the decl, and I love archon of justice.

I wish I had better hate against control.

Sweet. The deck has played pretty well for my too. One adjustment I made against control, though, is Gand Abolisher instead of Ctusader. It's very much better, you should try it next time you use this deck.

^ Hadn't thought of Abolisher, even with RealOG's post (I guess I didn't read clearly enough, silly me). This deck has been performing really well, but it's unfortunate that a ton of our SB is dedicated Wolf Run hate. Without it, of course, we would probably have a very very low set win percentage though, so the SB is good. Wish I had something for MBI like crusader, though, so I think Mirran crusader will stay in for me.
While people have been away from this so very magnificent thread, I have been testing like crazy.
1) Pristine Talisman. The card's amazing, but unfortunately competes with Swords for the drop on turn three. Awesome tech, though, and when it works it's realllllly cool.
2) thinking about making this into a primer, give the thread some more attention.
3) Mirran Crusader in SB is AWESOME.

What I propose is a artifact-based, mono W deck that uses sweepers to it's advantage, to gain control of the board. We break these sweepers by using Doomed Traveler, Batterskull, Gideon Jura, Glint Hawk Idol, and much much more (like Wurmcoil Engine. We complement these cards with cards like Sword of War and Peace, Angelic Destiny, and the such. We grind out advantage against control using Shrine of Loyal Legions, and some of these above cards.
1 Razor Hippogriff
2 Archon of Justice
2 Wurmcoil Engine
2 Fiend Hunter
2 Batterskull
4 Glint Hawk Idol
3 Sword of War and Peace
4 Shrine of Loyal Legions
1 Elspeth Tirel
3 Day of Judgment
2 Divine Reckoning
4 Oblivion Ring
3 Angelic Destiny
4 Ghost Quarter
4 Buried Ruin
17 Plains
4 Gut Shot
3 Spellskite
1 Divine Reckoning
1 Day of Judgment
3 Grand Abolisher
3 Revoke Existence

Against control it sucked. Maybe I suck?
Against aggro is is amazing as expected.
I made a few changes here and there along the way, but overall the same deck.

Yeah, a little lacking against control, but I think this should about cut it.
Anyways, most of the meta is either aggro or wolf run, but we can do things about the control MU.
