I put in Creeping Tar Pits to support Garruk Wildspeaker tokens just in case things go wrong in some strange way and I would need alternate wincons. This also helps the mana base a bit and lets me hard cast Massacre Wurm.
Of all the cards in the sideboard, I'm most thoroughly happy with Sleep. With acceleration, I get to play it turn 3 against aggro and stall their attack to set myself up for the combo within the next 2 turns. I think they're perfect simply because they don't kill my opponent's creatures and provide me with more damage once Massacre Wurm hits the table.
I have a feeling we are going to be seeing your list lot more now
I just played against it this morning on MTGO in the tournament practice room actually. He was running the version with red and spawning breath, and also included Jace 2.0.
I hate being that guy, but Jace 2.0 might be the deck this card needs.
It's See beyond on a stick ability is awesome here, probably better than anywhere else. I know it's technically brainstorm, but I think the synchronicity is more apparent if you think of it as additional copies of See Beyond
the three other abilities are not bad either.
Congrats Neon Lights, looks like you've really come up with something Charlie would be happy to play.
I have been lurking in this thread to follow the development of the deck, and I just wanted to say congratulations on getting the deck recognized on BoaB. I was hoping to catch people off guard with the deck this week and report back, but now it appears that the proverbial cat has been let out of the bag.
I think this absolutely a deck that should run 4 Halimar Depths. With >=8 fetchland and Growth Spasm it really helps you quickly sort through the deck and helps avoid drawing the creatures.
Also I find 4 Mana Leak is pretty key in disrupting the opponent or forcing through the Polymorph. It works well for me maindeck but if there's no room there it definitely deserves sb slots over Spell Pierce in my opinion because it works so well with Eldrazi tokens. Negate is also a possibility, I haven't experimented with that yet.

I disagree, Duress or Inquisistion of Kozilek seems better here to force through Mass Polymorph. With a little tweakage to the mana base the black could be included, not to mention I think it a good idea to atleast be able to cast Massacre Wurm if you need to from your hand.
This is my land base, still not sure if it is 100% efficent but it has allowed me to play Duress when I needed to:
I am fairly happy with this build, it seems a tad bit slower then the OP build but the inclusion of Tar Pit and the ability to apply some damage without needing to combo seems to offset it.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing, but decided not to say it.
I would love to play the deck, but out of respect to you Neon, I'm not going to play it since it was on BoaB, I'm not going to play it since it will be overplayed. Shoulda stayed rogue for sure. As much as I hate to say it, I would have loved it if you didn't get the recognition (not in a bad way!!)

I came to the same conclusion. Whether it is bouncing things to slow them down, acting as another see beyond, or just a way to potentially win it does quite a bit for the cause.
Let me know what you think of the changes, namely the 4 Mana Leaks maindeck and the 4 Jace, the Mind Sculptors. I feel like they're too powerful not to include, and they can really help you out against basically all matchups.

1) I think the Blightsteel could be an Iona.
2) I don't think you ever want to side in Fog.
3) I would add 2 more fetchland (any kind will do) instead of 2 basic land.
Other than that, this seems like the best build to me.

Who wouldn't side in Fog against aggro? Has saved my butt and sealed the win for me several times playing my build. I actually have 3 MB and 1 SB. Fog is a very powerful card.

1) I agree with your suggestion; Iona it should be.
2) It's basically Time Walk against aggro decks, and considering aggro is trying to race you to the finish, one extra turn can mean all the difference. Boros, any flavor of red, Fauna Shaman/Vengevine, and Vampires are all weak to it.
3) Good suggestion. A Verdant Catacomb and a Scalding Tarn will get thrown in.

Check it out man. Your list spawned a BoaB article!!
I'm very interested in building this now, what did you think about JvL's interpretation of the deck?
