I have use this deck for the past 2 weeks. 2 weeks ago I went 3-1 and placed 5th out of 24. And last night I went 2-1-1 and placed 4th out of 15 (this was a weird meta, 12 control decks 1 ally 1 vampires, and my Lifegain.

match 1 vs valakut titan
lifegain really hurts this deck. i was at 20+ the whole match. Once I hit 30 the ascendants won easily. he was chump blocking my pridemates with titans.
won 2-0
match 2 vs pyromancer's ascension combo.
again lifegain really helped. She had a land destruction suite that really hurt. After SB I brought in revoke existence and it was no match.
won 2-1
match 3 UB control
won the first match with a god hand but lost badly the next 2. This is a very tough MU.
lost 1-2
match 4 vs Valakut titan
similar results as the first one. Lifegain is just too fast for this deck.
won 2-0
overall 3-1 and 7-3 for games
this week
match 1 vs UB control
He was new to playing his deck and made a few mistakes. Second game I sided in leyline of sanctity and luminarch ascension and made this quite easy.
won 2-0
match 2 vs vampires
Lost first game. The massive amount of removal makes this a very hard MU. Second game i sided in DoJ. I know it seems odd as this is a creature based deck but with garruk I felt i could recover easily. I slow played and let him over extend playing just enough to keep me above 10 life. And the used DoJ for a 5 for 1. after that I droped garruk and BSA and won easily. 3rd game he got mana screwed and I won easily.
won2-1
match 3 UB control (same guy I lost to last week.)
same guy same result
lost 0-2 This is a good deck and a very good player.
match 4 UB control
not as good a player as the last one. as was able win game 2 via ascension. game 3 went to time.
tie 1-1-1
over all 2-1-1 and 5-3-1
this deck is good enough to be tier 1.5. But something is still missing. I think I am going to give it a rest for awhile till the next set comes out.

Last FNM didn't go too well for me (5th place). The local meta is filled with creature-hate and it's hard to keep up with some decks. That said, I ran this list:
I beat a RG Destructive Force Ramp (2-0), a UW control (2-1) and a UG Beastmaster Ascension (2-1) and lost to Monogreen Elves (1-2) and BR Abyssal Trader (0-2).
It's actually solid, but there's still room for improvement. I've considered it for some time and it's probably time to switch Ajani Goldmane for something else. The vigilance (and +1/+1 counters) he provides my creatures is worthwile, but only on very fast games, when I manage to have abount 3 creatures on the field. In a meta like mine, it's hard to acomplish that, though... I am not sure what would be a good replacement. Basilisk Collar is certainly a good option.
I am also thinking about the utility of Conqueror's Pledge. Sure, it does provide 6 blockers and is a great response to Day of Judgement. However, I think Sun Titan can probably cover that spot and still net me some lifegain (bringing back a Missionary or a Skyguard). Plus, it's a 6/6 vigilance dude.
Finally, I am going to remove Kabira Crossroads and add 4 more Plains. The Crossroads do help with lifegain, specially on ealy game. However, they heavily delay (or downright screw) the effect of Emeria, the Sky Ruin, which is far more important.
ever since soul sisters left standard play i havent seen a single life gain deck, not to mention the infect which makes life gain a waste, and only acts as counters on ajani's pridemate.
anyway, this is my life gain standard deck: Creatures
2x Baneslayer Angel
4x Felidar Sovereign
4x Ajani's Pridemate
4x Soul's Attendant
4x Serra Ascendant
4x Wall of Omens
Land
14x Plains
4x Emeria, the Sky Ruin
4x Kabira Crossroads
Planeswalkers
2x Ajani Goldmane
2x Elspeth Tirel
Spells
4x Brave the Elements
4x Rest for the Weary
4x Survival Cache
