So, with the spoilers of Throne of Eldraine, and sawing the first tribal deck I played on magic, Knights, I'm thinking on playing this format with them.
With the spoiled cards so far, do you think it's viable? I'm new into this format, I made a little list of the last 2-3 sets with cards that can be interesting (I know that I can choose cards from, Ravnica? until the last set, taking in mind the rotation). So, if you can bring some light into it, I would appreciate it so much.
"To keep things 100, anything I state is an opinion and not intended to be a fact. Any and all suggestions I give are a 100% opinion. If you need further clarification take the conversation to a PM. I am not in the business of assuming things. I'm only interested in 1 business and that business serves 2 things, Cold L's and Hot Dub's."
I found The Circle of Loyalty hard to cast and not very impactful, and Knight's Charge to be winmore. Stormfist Crusader is intriguing but I doubt symmetrical effects are good in the deck.
Order of Midnight is fine, seems worse than the other 2-drops though.
The other playable 1-drops are not black, and since KotEL is the best one, I'd start with another black one-drop, for consistency.
Hard to tell whether the deck wants more interactive spells, but they can fill the SB for now.

W/B is the way to go I think. Red doesn't offer much, Inspiring veteran is alright but not really that exciting and the mana get's significantly worse with red, not for example that tournament grounds doesn't cast the Adventure part of Murderous rider.
The certainties to me are:
4x venerable knight
4x knight of the ebon legion
4x worthy knight
4x acclaimed contender
4x murderous rider
These are the strongest knight cards imo and the reason to want to go this deck in the first place. What knights to fill up with I'm not entirely sure.
I don't think there are any other 1-drops good enough to consider, ideally you had played another but Fervent Champion is too hard on the mana and the other 1-drops are too weak, Foulmire knight is really lackluster.
For 2-drops the best options besides Worthy knight are Order of Midnight, Corpse Knight, Blacklance paragon and Smitten swordmaster. I quite like order of midnight, it's flexibility is good but not the best turn 2 play, same for smitten swordmaster. I think you want a bit of a mix here but I like Order the most overall. Blacklance really depends on how bad or good a 3/1 is in the format, I have a feeling that could be very good and you actually want him as 4-of. Smitter swordmaster might not be good enough to make the cut. The deck probably wants a high count of 2-drops as they are flexible and that way Worthy Knight is protected, against decks with removal you probably want to go Worth Knight into another knight at turn 3 or 4 and play something that can catch the bullet first like Blacklance or Corpse Knight. Order of Midnight really fits well into this.
At 3 mana you probably want a bit extra as murderous rider is more removal, choice probably between Midnight Reaper and Oathsworn knight, depends a bit what the nature of (mass) removal will be in this format. If it's damage based mostly I think the Oathsworn knight a lot but overall I guess Midnight reaper is probably the way to go.
Not sure you want to go higher up the curve, maybe some sorin. With castles and the adventures you already have lots of lategame so i'd want to play a reasonably high land count (24 or 25) but not go too far up the curve.
Murderous Rider does make one want to focus on B, but it might still be possible to run Mardu; Fabled Passage would help enable splashes of both R and W.
There's a Orzhov Knight list in this post from SCG.
Fervent Champion is perhaps a good candidate for Modern play given his synergy with Sunforger, but there doesn't seem to be much quality equipment available in Standard at the moment.
This will be my first Standard deck since BR Vampire-Madness (Shadows over Innistrad/Eldritch Moon), so if it sounds as if I don't know what I'm talking about, it's probably because I don't.
EDIT: I just worked up a Modern Mardu mana-base for a post in the Modern Knights thread. It was for a deck that needed 1BB for Swift End; and 1WW and RW for creatures. It was a job of work to get that done. Obviously, Standard isn't going to be able to support a list like that, so I have come to think one will have to go with big B, a little of R or W and at most a tiny splash of the other.
