So I was seeing a lot of golem synergy and trying to make it work when I noticed a great interaction between Awakened Amalgam and Gate Colossus and came up with this! Sorry for not tagging did this on my PS4
Gatess are too costly with the ETBT to play for most decks to really justify using them. ETBT lands puts you a full turn behind your opponent, two if you’re on the draw. You want guildgates to do extra work for that kind of expense. Cards like Guild Summit, Archway Angel and Glaive of the Guildpact to name a few that might fit decently into your deck. I would go full bore with Gates or drop the “gate cares” cards and go full bore on the differently named lands.
Reliquary Tower seems extraneous. I’ve played games where I was drawing five cards a turn and I very rarely ever wanted the tower despite discarding cards. Decks that take advantage of the number of cards in your hand don’t really exist in Standard right now and there is a phenomenal amount of hand and draw hate right now with cards like Distress, Narset, Parter of Veils and Ob Nixilis, the Hate-Twisted running around. I get that Masterful Replication can potentially net you a ton of cards but the goal is to kill your opponent, not die with 20 cards in your hand. Check out Saheeli, Sublime Artificer for consistency, chump blockers during set up and food for Replication.
I don’t see a lot of removal, just the one very narrow boardwipe, Blast Zone is a decent card but at one, your opponent will just play around it or destroy it before it fires off. In keeping with the Golem theme, Meteor Golem is an OK card but there are better if you’re willing to break theme.
I’m not really sure why you have Karn’s Bastion? To keep Karn alive?
I’m not an expert on artifact-focus decks so there’s going to be stuff I’ve missed.
Here’s a couple of ideas for the deck, still don’t have a solid idea for a deck list.
Steel Overseer can work with Voltaic Servant allowing you to put Overseer out of reach of most direct damage spells within about two turns. Be sure to always tap for that +1/+1 just before your end of turn and just before your opponent passes their turn. If they pass the turn before you have a chance to do anything, you have the right to pause the game and state you want to do an action before they pass their turn. That way, you’ll always have it untapped for blockers or buff tricks. Manifold Key works to add to Voltaic Servant as as cards 5-8 and give you a little extra boost if you want it.
Karn’s Bastion is now more useful. You can probably bump up to two. Three eh.... if it works for you?
Consider what you can do to protect or recycle your artifact creatures. When they’re both artifacts and creatures your opponent’s removal spells are all that more efficient. In other words, cards like Disenchant, Goblin Cratermaker, and Cast Down are all equally effective against Overseer. You have a few options. You can make use of Negate to stop their spells. Rescue to bounce it back to your hand, Kaya’s Ghostform to return it. Sheltering Light for a combat trick. There are a lot of cards to choose from. It depends on your meta, what color you want to slot in here and how you want to handle things.
Maybe look at blue and green for the protection and ramp or just green for ramp and some removal? I like green because it can give you enough ramp to leverage more expensive removal cards like Meteor Golem.
