"We'll scale these cliffs, traverse Brittle Bridge, and then fight our way down the volcanic slopes on the other side."
"Isn't the shortest route through the canyon?"
"Yes."
"So shouldn't we—"
"No."
Have you met our lord and savior riddleform?
Whats that it triggers prowess? and attacks in the air for 3.. and when you have nothing else to do with your mana you can scry. It truly is the most perfect card.
I would cut the higher mana cost cards you need to be able to cast multiple spells in a turn. The next most important card you are missing is Chart a course 2 cards for 2 mana.. perfect for this kind of deck that needs raw cards to get big numbers on prowess. Crash through is an interesting option. I would recommend dive down, at least in the sideboard if you don't have maindeck space.
I take it that this is supposed to be a budget deck? because you aren't using spirebluff canal? Otherwise I'd suggest a pair of chandra's because it does everything you want in a card. I run glorybringer out of the sideboard because even at 5 mana it just kills people. Of course cards like negate and essence scatter are very useful.
It can be a little clunky but depending on the set up of your deck Cryptic Serpent is really quite strong as a tarmogoyf.
Building on what D90Dennis14 is saying, I think UR/x Drake is the deck you want to be playing. It does what you want to do, and it plays better creatures than the ones you're running. As a matter of fact, most of their suggestions seem like they're coming from that deck/thread lol
Yes, I've met Riddleform and he's the bee's knees. At first I underestimated him, afraid that I might not "wake" him up every turn. But in a dedicated non-creature spell deck he's a freakin' powerhouse!
And yeah, it's a budget deck, as I can't afford the Spirebluff Canal and Chandra, Torch of Defiance right now.
Counterspells such as Negate and Spell Pierce (with Dive Down) are now on my sideboard.
Thanks for the suggestions!

@D90Dennis14, after playtesting I realized that Bloodwater Entity is better during the first few turns (especially when it puts back a copy of Opt or Chart a Course in the library), while Enigma Drake is great during the later part of the game (when there's a lotta spells in the graveyard already).
I put 2 x Bloodwater Entity and 2 x Enigma Drake -- it works surprisingly okay.

@Ronnie, true dat, thought about counterburn-drake deck, but I "opted" towards a more aggro/semi-tempo approach.
My sideboard, however, switches my deck to counterburn mode.

Pioneer:UR Pheonix
Modern:U Mono U Tron
EDH
GB Glissa, the traitor: Army of Cans
UW Dragonlord Ojutai: Dragonlord NOjutai
UWGDerevi, Empyrial Tactician "you cannot fight the storm"
R Zirilan of the claw. The solution to every problem is dragons
UB Etrata, the Silencer Cloning assassination
Peasant cube: Cards I own
Firebrand Archer is also better than something like Nimble-Blade Khenra.
Riddleform would be better than Spellweaver Eternal.
As far as spells go I'd add: Unsummon, Spell Pierce/Censor, Chart a Course/Strategic Planning and Abrade/Cut // Ribbons.
Primal Amulet is too slow for this deck and the 3-mana spells should be kept to a minimum.
