Substitute how exactly? What kind of deck do you actually want to build? Because this deck's a mess, just a pile of cards with no clear plan.
There's three Akroan Crusaders with only six spells that target creatures for a benefit, two of which will kill the Crusader upon resolving. There are three Ghitu Lavarunners with only five instants/sorceries, meaning those will almost always be vanilla 1/2s. What is Squee the Immortal doing here? There are no real combos that he's enabling. And that's just what I noticed in a minute or two.
To pick a minor nit, I believe the Wr Aggro deck needs more W and R sources. Turn 1 Goblin Banneret (90% chance) needs 14 R sources and Turn 3 Benalish Marshal needs 22 W sources (90% chance) (Frank Karsten article). The current Standard RW duals are, from best and most expensive: Sacred Foundry, Clifftop Retreat, Boros Guildgate, Stone Quarry (functionally equivalent to Boros Guildgate), Evolving Wilds. So the manabase I recommend for that deck would be:
Yeah. I think exposing the tradeoffs is not worthless, though. Even the manabase I proposed is not adequate for either a t1 Banneret or a t3 Marshal. With 9 R sources and 16 W sources, I think your proposal will have a significant number of hands where Boros Challenger, Banneret and/or Marshal will rot in hand for multiple turns.
So, which is better: not being able to play your cards or playing a turn or two late? Honestly, neither. Your list has 6 quite affordable rares. With the rare lands in the manabase I proposed, it seems pretty good. One could experiment with middle grounds, as I imagine Clifftop Retreat is significantly more affordable than Sacred Foundry (not to mention that OP has two Retreats already).
Without the rare lands, I think Mono-White would be more competitive than your list with either of our manabases. Of course, Mono-White is not close to the original list, so the list you proposed seems like a better fit.

12 dual lands
RNA Standard: Grixis Midrange, Jund Deathwhirler, Sultai Vannifar
GRN Standard: Red Midrange, Mono-Blue Tempo, Wr Aggro, Gruul Experimental Dinosaurs, Sultai Midrange, Jeskai Midrange
Modern: Bant Spirits
Forcing a single archetype in all formats: too many colors, bad mana.
