Mythic Championship 1 is partly Standard. It will take place 2/22-24. Fingers crossed for a good Standard.
Day 1 and 2 coverage will begin at 9:00am ET (6:00am PT) with draft. Five rounds of Standard will start somewhere around 1:30PM ET. These streams may be repeated.
Day 3 coverage will begin with the top 8 playing Standard (best of 5 matches) at 9:00am ET (6:00am PT).
Video on demand of the stream will be available for each round.
I'm pretty excited for this Mythic Championship (Pro Tour). I hope the diverse standard continues through this event. I'll have to wait until after work to watch though
I listened to the commentary for Patrick Chapin and Reid Duke's matches against Esper Control yesterday. I thought it was extremely well informed and insightful. Although Control won through, there was a wealth of information on how to play for and against.
The Mono Blue Aggro with Curious Obsession? It has been around for a while, but I think the New Drake put it over the top, as it gave you an early drop that you could enchant and turn into a real Threat later on.
Also come on these decks aren't Gruul and Azorius. These decks should be called Uw Aggro and Rg Aggro. They are only dip into something else for counters or removal and basically exist cause the mana is good its like why not.

I knew it was around (I was playing versions of in last summer with M19) I mean did Wizards had seen a version of it in their FFL. I don't know if internally they like a mono-colored deck being one of the best in a standard meant for multicolor.

I think so long as nothing is "broken" like Marvel or Token Cat Lady I am not sure they really care too much how standards end up shaking out. Why would they? there are 2 years for Multicolor to shine (not like it doesn't shine all the time anyways) I am honestly glad that there is a straight mono color deck that is still good in a Multi Color format. it proves that good mana doesn't always devolve into "4 color good stuff"
