Since Pioneer was announced, I still haven't taken the time to build a new deck. While rummaging online, I saw a UW Heroic deck that scored 5-0 in a league: "I've got that in a box!" I said to myself.
Outside of the mana-base, there wasn't really much changed from the list I had used; Curious Obsession was the only real new thing. I haven't taken the time to round up a set yet and I'm not sure I want to after playing with one.
But anyway. . .
Funny thing is that it is the mana-base is where the deck suffers. I straight up lost a game last night because two of my first three lands were Islands. Let me post the list before I go on.
First, the deck is probably at least one land short; I mulliganed nearly every game out of six matches. Second, the Islands suck. Third, the Mana Confluences suck.
So, opinions, please:
Should I swap one or two Islands for Port Towns?
Should I try a whole play-set of Port Towns in place of two Islands and the Mana Confluences?
Should I try Prairie Streams instead?
Should I go to twenty-one lands?
Should I just test my changes myself and stop bothering people? I'd be more likely too if I got to play more. Gold-fishing bores me to tears.
While I'm mostly curious what folks think about the mana, I'm open to other ideas. I am going to try another copy or two of Curious Obsession, but it didn't really feel entirely good the one time I drew it. I found I was bringing extra copies of Ajani's Presence from the board very often. The rest of my board is garbage, so I'm not going to list it. I'm certainly going to add three copies of Rest in Peace and I really want to run some one-mana counters but I'm not sure which; I really haven't given much consideration to that yet.
Thanks to anyone who has stayed this long. You might want to stop reading now because I'm going to rant for a bit.

Does anyone remember when Modern was new and had only enemy-colored fetches? And how absurd that was?
How did Wizards not only NOT learn from that but screw-up three-times worse with Pioneer? Is there no planning for new formats?
Given the absence of allied-colored Fast lands, Pain lands, and Man lands, they should have left the allied fetches legal until at least some of these shortcomings were redressed. This is just comically bad.

Ordeal of Heliod and Thassa both need to go, they are not good. Consider 4 Ethereal Armor and 4 All that Glitters instead. Curious Obsession only seems to work in builds with lots of evasion (like flying). Consider dropping it and the 2 copies of Stratus Walk for 3 copies of Gryff's Boon to give your heroes some evasion (and possible recursion).
As for the mana base you could drop the 2 Mana Confluence and drop in 2 Port Town as you mentioned.
You also have zero removal of any sort. You may need to drop the Defiant Strikes in place of some combination of Declaration in Stone or Detention Sphere or something else like Banishing Light. Without those control decks and aggro decks may have a field day with you.
Good luck and let us know what you decide and how it works out.
Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)

I wouldn't mind one Temple of Enlightenment, especially as a twenty-first land.

PS: Yes the manabase is highly unfair right now.
