Introduction:
I'd like to share one of my personal homebrews.
About the Deck:
Monkfish is an enchantment based aggro deck that has obnoxiously good
board presence, an emphasis on lifegaining, and solid recursion ability,
altogether making the deck surpisingly resilient, grindy, and fairly potent.
Simple in its execution the deck generates lots of value and has some solid
time tested synergies.
I've been running this deck for over 2 years now, and it's still a blast to run!
Why play this deck:
If you like off the wall "rogue" decks that are surprisingly effective give this
one a shot. It does not dissapoint.
Kor Skyfisher could get you some bounce for your lifegain creatures and trigger your Idealist and Pilgrim. Also give you some air presence for blocking Delvers or other Skyfishers/Glint Hawks or Bird tokens.
Cartouche of Solidarity could give you a little more game vs. MBC and their Edicts/sac effects as well. As well as another lifegain trigger off Suture Priest. Maybe a 2/2 split with Hyena Umbra.
How about Seeker of the Way? I see 20 cards MD that would trigger Prowess.
Maybe 2 Secluded Steppe and drop 2 Crossroads to get you a little card draw at least. You would still have a lot of lifegain spells/cards left with these changes. Just a thought. I may tweak your list and give it a try for fun, thanks.
Playing since 1994: Currently MAGS (HomeBrew),Standard & Pauper (Pioneer and Modern are degenerate trash formats)
STOP using "dude/bro" as a pejorative or insult. Grow up.
Margaret Thatcher: “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.”
Benjamin Franklin: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
Martin Luther King Jr.: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
I agree that Student of Ojutai should probably be Seeker of the Way. It has a cheaper casting cost, same power, prowess and will likely gain you just as much life through combat.
I also agree that Kor Skyfisher would give you better game by having some presence in the air. It's also a great way to get more value out of something like Heliod's Pilgrim or just replaying a Radiant Fountain.
A lot of Mono-White lists will play Haunted Fengraf as a way to get good value out of their lands in the late game. I feel like 1-2 of these could replace Kabira Crossroads.
If you're not playing with online legalities only, you should think about playing Desert. This card is insanely good in Pauper. With all your lifegain, you can definitely soak up some hits and kill some creatures with your lands.
For your sideboard, I think you would enjoy Prismatic Strands over some of your Circles. This card is super effective. At worst, it's a fog for all of your opponents damage (combat and non-combat), at best, it's a one-sided board wipe. With a free flashback.
I'll retract my thought on Guardian of the Guildpact having Prot. from White isn't a good idea in a deck wanting to stack enchantments.
I like the idea of 2 Haunted Fengraf. Strands is better than some of those Circles as well.
My other small problem is that sacking Angelic Renewal is a non-bo with Ethereal Armor. Cho-Manno's Blessing could be an option but I suppose that defeats the purpose of the recursion. Just no way around that I suppose.

Seeker of the Way is good in here, fits right in without diluting the cleric/monk theme to much.
I've ran Student of Ojutai's in here for the longest time, it's comforting having some unboltable
creatures in here, and they've served me well, but i'll try out the Seekers in their place.
Slotted in a pair of Prismatic Strands in place of the 2 COP Greens (green does have outs),
i'll give them a shot.
I'll tell you the COP reds and blacks are nasty versus MBC and Burn, they have no outs against
them, i've had people just throw their hands up in the air against these crusty old cards.
The only reason this deck has any game, is it just refuses to die, it gains so much life it
eventually pulls ahead, it frustrates the hell out of many of my friends/opponents.
Radiant Fountains and Kabira Crossroads out in favor of more Plains and a pair of Haunted Fengraf's. The deck has more than enough lifegain to warrant their inclusion
anylonger, and the Crossroads caused to much tempo loss in some games.

Would you consider Guardian of the Guildpact or Palace Sentinels in place of Student of Ojutai?

All the usual suspects mentioned... Palace Sentinels, Kor Skyfisher, Haunted Fengraf etc...

Dust to Dusts out in favor of a full playset of the more synergistic Seal of Cleansing.
Radiant Fountains and Kabira Crossroads out in favor of more Plains and a pair of

Circle of Protection: Black out in favor of a 3rd Prismatic Strands. I would like to
maindeck a pair of these.
