MTG Salvation

So I've had half an idea for a WU pillow fort deck using Muddle the Mixture and either
Runes of protection, ie Rune of Protection: Red
or Circles of protection, ie Circle of Protection: Red

one offers cycling if its not the right color but the other is 1 colorless for its effect vs W.

I don't know what to put in for finishing once the fort is set up or even if this would work out. I'm feeling like this is just a slower/inefficient fog deck but I can't get the idea to go away.

Curious if anyone has any thoughts on this or another use for Muddle in pauper.

I'm thinking of taking my existing UG Turbofog deck, which runs 4x Muddle the Mixture, and adding 1x Plains (fetchable with Ash Barrens and Evolving Wilds in the MD), some Circle of Protections, and 1-2x Allay to the sideboard. I need the Allay because Boros Bully is huge right now, and it feels like a practically un-loseable matchup for Turbo Fog unless they bring in Aura Fracture from the SB and resolve it.

I feel like Circle of Protection-based deck also needs some sort of sweeper, to keep them from just overloading your mana. Either black in Pestilence/Crypt Rats/Evincar's Justice or Red in Electrickery/Swirling Sandstorm. I was always interested in WR myself, since then you have looting effects like Faithless Looting to discard the unneeded CoPs. I've also consider a GRW deck, adding Claws of Wirewood and Commune with the Gods to dig.

There are also some other 2cmc transmuters in Pauper: Dimir Infiltrator, Shred Memory. Shred Memory could slot right into a WB Pestilence deck with maindeck Circle of Protections.

You could use Wall of Forgotten Pharaohs as a tutorable wincon. It can block smaller creatures to save some mana on CoP activations. You can also run Desert to clean up on small creatures then use the cycling deserts for some card filtering.
