Undead Gladiator has been dropped all the way for all of you folks who have kept asking for it for the last couple years, and with great new art to boot. Congrats to the guys who wanted it, here's hoping it actually sees play, because it's a phenomenal card advantage + inevitability engine in a single cards for Control decks. This is the closest we will get to an engine or a "common Planeswalker" card nowadays.

Pillage is a fantastic addition to the pauper card pool! Savannah Lions, while being a powerful card, doesn‘t easily find a home in pauper. He doesn‘t realy fit into the two white creature decks (heroic, boros monarch). Relentless Rats seem too slow for the format. Nevertheless a fun card. Balduvian Horde doesn‘t compare well with other 5/5s (Gurmag Angler).
I'd like to discuss Pillage a bit more in detail here. Let me know your opinions on this:
Is it powerful/versatile enough to break into the actual sideboards? - It's a good side board card against affinity and tron, so I would expect to see at least some copies popping up.
Will it help to make a red land destruction deck viable? - The card might help to push that archetype into the realms of playability, but I'm no expert for LD decks.
Any chance to see main board play in other decks? - I would expect to maybe see it as tool box one-of in certain decks, probably not much more.
Here's hoping to some goodies coming through that impact the meta like the last two Masters release with a sprinkle of reprints like Oubliette, Daze, Gush, Gorilla Shaman and Cuombajj Witches. At least then the set wouldn't be a total failure on all fronts. We already got great reprints in Counterspell, Brainstorm, Lightning Bolt and Ash Barrens, so not entirely impossible.
Also some other staples would be welcome as well even if they're currently dirt cheap (Kor Skyfisher and Gurmag Angler come to mind), I'm a sucker for foil watermarks.

From these I would really LOVE to see Oubliette reprinted. It's the most expensive pauper card, but not because of high demand but because of low supply. BUT I don't think Wizards will EVER reprint this card; the text/rules of it are waaaaaay too messy to see print nowadays.

I'd be glad with just a functional reprint akin to Journey to Nowhere. Exiling is not out of Black's color pie after all. The enchantment part is what makes me iffy.
Literally nothing for us except Hordeling Outburst and Jackal Pup. Big maybes in Fencing Ace and Court Hussar, which I suspect will amount to nothing in the latter's case. Augur of Bolas does his job so much better for less mana, and the kind of deck that runs both doesn't have too much creatures so Augur's restriction isn't much of a downside.

Seal of Doom is functionally similar AND an enchantment.
OKish. Nothing broken here. Fencing Ace might fit into a Trinket Mage + equipment deck or in a enchantment pump deck that can protect its creatures (heroic?). Geist of the Moors might fit into Boros Monarch; probably too expensive for the fragile body. Savannah Lions solid one-drop. If there is a home for this card in pauper...
Blue and black didn't get any new gems, just some mediocre cards that are mostly overshadowed by already existing pauper cards.
Red got the most goodies from this set, but also here no format warping card. Hordeling Outburst and Frenzied Goblin are great additions for the tier2/3 gobbo decks and might help them climb in the tier list. Crimson Mage would be interesting for a midrange fires-of-yawimaya-style deck (which doesn't exist in pauper afaik). Jackal Pup, this aggro one-drop with long history has probably a hard time finding a home in pauper. Its not because of lacking power level but because of a hostile meta. When 74% (mtgtop8.com 2.3.2018) of the decks in the meta are aggro decks, the pup has a real hard time to shine in the format. Pillage is powerful and versatile. This might fit into some tool box or side board slots. I might even help to make a red LD deck viable (input from LD experts appreciated).
Not much in green. Ainok Survivalist is a nice toolbox/side board card. Solid power level, probably no home in the decks of the actual pauper meta. Shaman.deck?
Overall, the set is rather disappointing from the pauper perspective. Next set plz
The flicker trick might push this into playability IF (a very big IF) UW control ever becomes a thing in pauper. Otherwise it‘s just a terrible „removal spell“, where no reasonable opponent ever attacks into if not necessary. IMO every half way useful removal is better, exception being a UW flicker control deck that can abuse the ability.
Geist of the Moors
Savannah Lions
Loyal Sentry
Frenzied Goblin
Crimson Mage
Jackal Pup
