Opponent had two copies of Oubliette on the field. One was exiling nothing, since I had protected the target with Benevolent Bodyguard. The second (and most recently cast) was exiling Loyal Cathar.
In the case of Oubliette, the exiled card appears in the "My Exiled Cards" box, and not underneath the Oubliette, as is the case with Oblivion Ring and Journey To Nowhere.
I drew Kor Sanctifiers, which I had boarded in for this occasion. There seemed to be no way to tell which Oubliette had my Loyal Cathar. I chose the one on the right, figuring it was the one most recently cast. Oubliette was destroyed, and it's triggered ability was put on the stack, but nothing happened.
My opponent went on to tell me that the card is just bugged and even if I'd picked the correct one, I wouldn't have got my creature back.
So the most sportsmanlike deck possible would be a Dream Stalker/Oubliette deck. If you win, your opponents get refunds!
I played against a guy in tournament practice doing that in a b/w deck with Kor Skyfisher. I don't mind it so much in mono black but when someone sets out to actually abuse it like that it sort of rubs me the wrong way
http://mtgo-stats.com/decks/82727 - This guy is specifically abusing the bug with Ghostly Flicker, and I'd certainly file for reimbursement if he did that to me.

He can only do that with the singleton dream stalker, right? Looks like he is more geared to the rats wall flicker lock.

Why is he running a single Dream Stalker then? Wouldent he have better removal options then Oubliette for removal? Its kind of hard to believe that he is completly innocent in all of this. At least with mono black they have legitimate reason to run an inferior removal spell since it counts toward devotion.
And to all the people who say just file for a refund this guy was 4-0 so he took packs away from at least one person and potentially others. If the situation does not come up in a match people would not even know that they were cheated by someone exploiting a bug to make it into their round.
Some games ban players and close their accounts for exploiting bugs. Does mtgo have any rules related to exploiting bugs?

Oubliette isn't bad when you consider resilient threats like Loyal Cathar and Stormbound Geist are seeing lots of play

So when should you file for reimbursement for oubliette? Do you have to destroy it? Do you have to have the means to destroy it? Would you be justified just by having it played against you?
This bug effects you 100% of the time it is played against you wether you have the means to deal with it or not. At least with Torch you can only be effected by your opponent so in a lot of situations the bug is irrelevant and the card functions as intended.

If you could have a way to bounce or destroy it, I think. Or if your opponent abuses the bug obviously. I mean really any time you have it played against you, you could. You could argue that your sideboard would be constructed differently if not for the bug, which caused you to lose the match due to having to play and sideboard subpar.
You could actually make the same argument as the Oubliette player as long as you played another color saying you wanted to Oubliette your Gray Merchant then nuke the Oubliette to reuse his devotion trigger. You're perfectly justified in my first argument, the second might be a bit of a stretch though.

The sideboard is really what got me thinking about this. A lot of decks have something in the sb to deal with enchantments but would not even be brought in vs mbc becauses of the bug. Since they are not boarded in a situation would never come up where the bug effected the game even though the bug was the reason they did not bring in enchantment destruction
Similarly, if you are 3-0 and lose out on 4-0 due to a bug, you can apply for reimbursement (although those 6 packs for your 3-1 are better than a 6 ticket reimbursement).
I think they should ban bugged cards until they have a fix for them. Reimbursement just seems like such an unsatisfying solution to the problem.
Especially since the printing of Gary, Oubliette isn't even a fringe card anymore. In a pauper premier event you will run in a lot of MBC players and they are all playing a card that just flatout doesn't work as it is supposed to. Yet you won't request reimbursement a lot of the time because the amount of packs you might win is still better than the reimbursement.

Has anyone else experienced this?

But its a very very good removal spell and for those unaware of the bug, a discard effect aswell. Not to mention it just adds devotion.
yes it is bugged, yes they DO know about it (employees responded to discussion about it on Twitter), no they haven't fixed it
so feel free to use it and feel free to get refunds when it happens

Yeah, you're right. Flicker can't hit enchantments, I'm dumb. But he can use Capsize too

...
utterly bad as removal (3 mana sorcery speed removal? come on, there's better removal than that at instant speed and cheaper)

But Devotion is a thing.
Oubliette gets rid of rancor, which is a thing.
